      Not at all, the TTRS is an awesome daily. The new A45 is a great piece of kit too but I have to wonder how tune-able it is with already over 400hp from a 4-pot; the TT's 5-pot easily makes 480hp with just a map. Plus the A45 is so heavy it's like permanently dragging another two people around in the RS!!

    Audi TT is a great car, fun to drive; moreover, looks very gorgeous. I like the hatchback-style trunk though cannot put many things. However, pull down the back seats then you have more and deep space to put more stuff in the car because of the back seats which I believe no one wants to try to fit in there. @@gs98999 Agreed. But even with AWD, the TTRS isn't exactly a good daily all year round car if you factor in cargo space, back seat space and low ground clearance. It's just not really practical all things considered.

    Very nice review (i have watched nearly all of yours). With the TTRS priced at that point, To me it would be a very serious question ,whether to get this new, or the original R8 pre-owned. Because the R8 has an NA V8, more power, true quattro system and much more of a presence. The only downside is the early automatic transmission on those cheaper end R8s.

    I just miss the manual transmission

    • @nickval5962
      @nickval5962 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I agree, with the inclusion of a manual, the price will probably drop a good margin. Automatics are more expensive to make and making them standard drives the price of a car up. People will buy the manual if it comes back in these sports cars, if they advertise it that is.

    Too many people mistakenly believe the haldex in this can put 100% of torque to the rear axle, which is complete nonsense. I'm glad you pointed out the difference.
    It's not physically possible to do that with the clutch based haldex system .
    It can only apportion, up to 100% of AVAILABLE torque rewards, which means the front axle has to have zero traction. So this will never be more than 50% of max torque.

    No one really talks about the TT RS, and frankly, I am one of these people who love this car. It's just so different from a lot of the other Audi cars that are very well recognized in the S and RS lineup. I mean the 2.5L turbocharged 5 cylinder from the RS 3 alone is enough reason to buy the car. Basically, it's almost a miniature version of the Audi R8, and I already love the R8. And 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds is no joke either. I'm sure because of German underrating, it could go to maybe 3.4-3.5 seconds.

      Kenton Patterson Hey. All good cars, but why would you recommend those rear drive cars for all year round use?
      You don’t understand the difference in cars do you?
      GT350 in the snow. Useless
      C8 Corvette. Useless
      TTRS or RS3. Superb all year round cars.
      People buy them for their needs. They are better deals cause you drive them all year round.
      Rear drive sports cars are a waste if you live in 4 seasons. If you break it down per day of use in nice weather, you are paying way too much for a car that just sits.
      You think you’re giving good advice, but it’s an expensive one.

    • @TheSinMOG
      @TheSinMOG 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      M2 would handle better and be more fun to drive on the track. The Audi would be more comfortable and way more fun to drive on regular roads.
      Test drove an M2 in a downtown area for around 10 minutes and as soon as it found a slight imperfection in the road, all of the glory, all of the wonder, all the hype disappeared. That motherfuckers suspension is not meant to be on a regular road, that bitch will kill your fking ass. The suspension is stiffer and harsher than an R56 Mini Cooper, 2001 Camaro, early 2000s Lotus Elise.

    • @ryanb8736
      @ryanb8736 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      TheSinMOG I was so hung ho to get an M2 comp. after driving it I was underwhelmed. Steering is artificial. No communication with the car. GT 350 is a much better performance car.

    I bought a TTRS last year, and say it’s a hoot to drive. Only the few know what it really is and what it’s capable of, the rest just love that it’s a cute TT. The 5cyl is truly the superstar here, and it feels more exotic and a real baby R8 compared to its RS3 sister.

      Wedow you have to do a lot more than that just to break into the high 9’s. We’ve only had one at the track and with $38k in mods and ran consistent 9.80’s , which is really quick for an Audi. I’d have to see one do 8’s before I believe that and I’m betting the only thing Audi about it will be the body.

      @@wrzl1675 I almost bought the iroz shop car as it was for sale locla to me for 80k with 2k miles on the build. Ran high 8s but over 160k in parts. And yes more than that of course. All the supporting mods built trans etc etc. Car was on Hoosier ffs 😂😂😂 very quick but at 200k+ you can build a much faster mustang, corvette, camaro, hellcat etc. Def a badass car though. Chose a stinger over an rs3 due to pricing. Couldn't justify 20k+ more for it but the rs3 was the better car.
