Everything is looking great. 2 thoughts I had. The blacksmith shop, if there was room for it, would be appropriate near a stream by the castle. Also, if you could make it work (which of course you could), the raised train line could also provide access to the raised platform. Some kind of rustic stop where people can get off the train and take stairs or winding trail (like Ninjago temple) up to the platform somewhere. You could then make a narrow footpath/trail across the front of the raised platform for people who want to get some rustic exercise or see the sights.
You should put the train station on the plate to the right of the airstrip. You can change the creek so it goes closer to the hill and then you would have room for the station on that plate.
Many of the best real world observatories are in very remote areas and the employees live there either full time or for a few months. I think the stud house could be perfect as housing for the scientists and engineers that are currently working the observatory.
Just a note about your windsock at the airstrip, the larger end should be closest to the pole, and a general rule is that planes try and take off against the wind so you could either turn the windsock or have the plane taking off in the other direction. Cheers
The wood shed should be moved to the other side of the cabin so it's next to the fire pit. You should add the Medieval Blacksmith set to the raised platform. The rolling hills are looking great! Something to add next to the cabin is an ATV and the guy that lives there
@Bricksie - Make the trail from the observatory bend into a forest backdrop/ Sillouette instead as a trail into the forest and then come out of a forest sillouette on the other side of the runway to bend and go over a small bridge over the stream and connect to the castle
Bricksie looking good . Great work there. To help with the skyline on the landing strip area, perhaps a couple of tallish trees on the hills area either side . It’s all your detailing make it great 16:43
You should add a faux tunnel to the wall behind the raised platform. then the tunnel below can connect in your imagination and get people up to the observatory
You should totally make instructions on rebrickable or some other website for the raised train platform and triple boutique hotel! I would love to see it and it. Also you could move the 8-studs house into the Residential Area and put a pond where the house was.
The trail coming off the castle plate could go across the creek then up on top of the hill overlooking the air strip. Then, there might be room to have it come back down on the plate with the 8-stud house. That way the trail, along with the creek, runs across all of the plates between the castle and observatory.
Love the updates!! I would think the 2 roads should connect. I’ve seen planes just use large sections of straight away roads as landing strips. Maybe you can add a small hanger for the plane that blends into the mountain on your other plate. Just an idea! Love the city
The landscape plate on the right of the airstrip should be some sort of ren faire/public park area with minifigs getting into costume, so that it makes sense to have the Castle nextdoor.
This may be a lot of work butttt: the raised platform would look so much better if the ‘lowest level’ would be that of the castle. So you could raise the other ‘lower’ platforms to the same height and rise the platform of the castle. Than the whole platform would feel like one giant mountain ridge. Keep up the amazing work!!
The twins are growing so rapidly! They will be crawling soon. Watch out! Wonderful they like vegetables it will be easier later. One thought on the platform for height and depth, add solar windmills. They won't take up too much space and provide energy to the platform. When the plates were cleared for the road the colorful bricks looked like gumdrops. 😉
Bricksie, I would have said, put that gas tank on the other side of that cabine, but you shacked things up again, with that brick-house. So can you mirror build that cabine, so the door is on the other side? That way you can relocate the wood storage to the other side. Can you make the runway a slightly longer? Also let that plane take-off, a bit more towards the end off that runway. Perhaps a small plane parking place for those planes? Would the LEGO Pharaoh's Quest 7307 plane, be a idea for you to look at getting? Then it's up to you, if it's a tarp on supports or if it's a partlyburied hangar. As for the Brick-House, can you take that right wall, mirror build it and then swap it with the right side wall? That way you get one big window front view. Also, will you include a horse drawn cart or so?
Jordan, love the city man. One thing about the Observatory, your design around it is awesome. Here is the one thing I am thinking.. so the only way to get to it is by plane or mountain climbing. What about adding a stairway from the city below to the upper platform. That way the LEGO peeps have a way to get there from the city.
You should do a nice pond area in one of those blank plates on the raised platform. Another Idea I had for the road on the raised platform. If you made a mock tunnel entrance where the road butts up against the wall, the access to the platform could be gained (imaginary) from underneath.
I really like the upgrades done to the airstrip! Some pretty awesome ideas! Love that the wood cashe was built into the hill, that was a great idea. For the plate beside the castle if you have space, you could maybe put the midevil blacksmith there because it'll match the midevil vibe over there and it might be the perfect structure.
I think you should put a fence in between the air-step and the eight stud-house. This would make more sense if you intergrated a fence. Awesome video btw, love you channel!!
The gravel road, you could make a tunnel in the hill behind the airstrip, and let the roud go in there! And the plate between the airstrip and the castle, you should make your airstripe a little longer en build on that plate a hangar for the plane!
What if you keep your old wooden "boardwalk along the upper platform for walking. Add a false car tunnel going into a false mountain that's just a couple of studds deep against the wall next to the observatory for perspective. I'd recommend doing this with the hills as well. Just a stud or two deep of and of varying heights. Like the wind turbine, having some false mountains will add some forced perspective and give a look of distance in the back. A little lake with some fishing boats and a small wooden cabin between the runway and castle could add some contrast and color to the upper platform as well.😉 Just some simple ideas from a simple man. 🤘😎 Much love from Calgary! The city that's been trying to become Edmonton for decades. . . Lol 😉❤
You could simply put some coloured paper behind the platform, to give a sky-blue background behind the castle, observatory and airstrip. A roll of wallpaper might work.
Honestly I'd have placed the airstrip on the other side of the caste, so the path from the observatory can join the castle's one (and maybe both connect with a raised station level); and the river appears more natural. With your placement you can still consider to connect the observatory path to a bridge and then to an access structure from the city (e.g. a station).
So you should extend the airway a little by the castle and put in a small air hanger that could house another small plane. Also to save room if you built another one of those planes you could modify it so the wings fold in like they do on an aircraft carrier. Just an idea.
rad good job! a shed/hanger for the plane on one of the sides would look cool too. maybe the paths would make more sense to connect up to the other paths. the fire pit and the octane bit
Thinking about the cabin... since you have steps to the roof, why not make that into an observation deck? If the stairs were outside next to the fire pit, you could add some chairs & binoculars. Then a figure could grab a burger and go up top to watch the planes - that's what a real pilot would do, lol! BTW, even in yr latest video the windsock still points the wrong way ;)
Hej Bricksie. I'd redesign the Castle so that the path turns to the right and put the knight games on top of the huge platform. This also capsulates the medival theme from the City or you can even connect it with the amusement park which also makes sense. Greetings Edit: Maybe the Castle can bei redesigned as a hotel like in Billund which would bei an awesome fun fact 😉
Would be a cool idea to have a cable car transport up to the raised platform so the minifigs can access the observatory without having to catch a plane ride or scale the mountain! Would be pretty cool!
It’s coming along nicely 👍🏽 Maybe you could consider to put the 8 stud house on an angle, it would help to break the grid. For access to the observatory I suggest a lift, no need to be functioning of course. At the bottom you could put a little ticket booth/visitors center.
It was nice to hear Jose (sp?) speaking for a bit about the minifigs! You guys both have great voices that suit the work you're doing. Always a pleasure and thanks for taking us to the gallery yesterday! So cool!
Been watching for awhile and had a thought about how to get minifigs up to your observatory on the raised platform... a Gondola Lift ! Really think you can fit that in and it gives a reason for there to be a path up to the observatory.
For the trian station for the upper platform, put in next to the farm before the corner, then add a walkway and some stairs. It could be a scenic walkway
Just a thought but maybe switch the castle and the raised hill for the jousting. Then the path can go from the castle, cross the jousting and then down towards the air strip. If the Weasley house is on the other side of the castle, it works since they don’t need roads.
The airstrip is definitely better, there is one minor change that would make sense: just swap the gastank an£ the fire pit. The fire pit is hard to recognise with no flame, distanced from logs, just appears grey circle, maybe a well. Perhaps adding logs to it, or putting it by logs would clear that. The gas to the other locations accessed from plane by the little path would be clear enough? Maybe consider adding small hose or dispenser adapter handle wheel style with the string to the bottom laying out towards runway? Maybe a small sheet metal hanger for the airfield to fit on the smaller plates one side of the runway?
Putting the fire pit would be a bit awkward. I think putting it next to the cabin next to the runway. So you walk out the cabin turn right and sit at the fire pit. Also a way to get some water to the cabin. But really it looks great. The twins are so cute. It's funny they take the part off the toy. Guess they are builders already.
Putting "half" trees with a flat back like you have in the campground could be give you what you want in terms of perspective and height. ❤ your city!!!
for the road at the 8 stud house, a suggestion could be that the path goes up and behind the cabin and down the other hill with nothing on it. that was it has one continuous path from the observatory to the castle
Have you considered just getting some light blue fabric and using it for a backdrop? You could run it across the wall under the shelving and it would hide the ugly brackets as well. Simple to install and pretty cost effective.
What about moving the creek between the castle and the airstrip closer to the hill on that plate, and use the front of the plate to build a train station? Then people could get on the raised train from over by the amusement park, ride it over, and get off at the top of the hill to access everything on the platform?
Make a little cave in the observatory mountain with a little creek to join up at that abrupt turn so that it's a T junction. It'll make sense to be an aquifer since there's already a water source up there
with all the renaissance buildings being put into the city you could make it like a renaissance festival on the raised platform. If you do this it could be funny to have everyone in character then like one guy on his phone breaking character
Love the layout. Love watching it grow and morph. If I may…I think u should put the fire pit back in its original spot and place the propane tank on the left side of the building. To me it just makes more sense functionally and aesthetically.
I know its a stretch, but i honestly think that moving the ENTIRE forest/ campground up to the raised platform, with that airstrip up there i think it would look SO good. But with that, you would have to move the medieval section part of it… if you dont like that idea, what you could do to integrate the castle and the airstrip you could add another little beautiful foresty section but with the the creek running UNDER some sort of like fallen tree used as a bridge to cross between the airstrip and castle.
part 2: if you DO happen to like the idea of moving the forest/ campground to the raised platform, there wont be enough space at the top but you could have the forest come down to the bottom (at city level) also. I think it would look really cool with the train running through the middle of the forest but on top of the forest i guess?😂 the observatory would look so good with the forest as well
Great work... Why not think about integragting a helipad on the raised platform for tours of the city etc. Will fit nicely with the airstrip. You could also integrate a staion so it woul be one plate encompasing travel access.
Maybe have like a cart system going up that path on the mountain so the path is less pointless- like how the Minecraft sets do they rail and mine cart system?
Hey there! For some reason the "airstrip" seems a little too short. Maybe reverse the direction of landing and extend the runway into the right side plate (opposite side of the 8 stud house)? Just my opinion.....PS: The river can go under that part of the runway through a small man-made tunnel....
Okay man it’s pretty cool but most airstrips are made of concrete so it would look so much better if you brick built the airstrip like your parking spots in light gray with grass overflowing on it and crackles it would truly look awesome also maybe you should redo the house roof and adding an air sontrol monitor like an old style one. Keep up the good work man!!
You should move the lion castle to the higher plate and put the jousting one where the the lions castle is right now. You'd still need to find something for the empty spot but with some landscaping I think it would look and flow better
One option for a train station is to build it like a tunnel staircase or elevator that comes down to the raised railway and this way you wouldn't need to obstruct the builds above
@Bricksie how about instead of a train station you make a cable car station to the raised platform, Also the path needs to carry on through the air field. It could run along side the air strip. Love your work!
Hey bricksie you should build a train station below the empty baseplate between the airstrip and the castle and have it be two floors tall with the platform on the bottom and the tick hall/entrance on the top floor level with the baseplate
A good structure for that space beside the castle would be the tall white lego windmill, it would add some great height. I saw you had one in one of your old videos but its nowhere in your city?
Everything is looking great. 2 thoughts I had. The blacksmith shop, if there was room for it, would be appropriate near a stream by the castle. I love all the custom builds you do for your LEGO city. Keep it up Jordan!
The wood shed should be moved to the other side of the cabin so it's next to the fire pit.
You should add the Medieval Blacksmith set to the raised platform.
The rolling hills are looking great!
Something to add next to the cabin is an ATV and the guy that lives there
Love the twins❤❤
The twins look so beautiful. I love the airfield & creek.
Instead of the road ending abruptly, I think it would look really nice if it connected to the fire pit trail area!
@Bricksie - Make the trail from the observatory bend into a forest backdrop/ Sillouette instead as a trail into the forest and then come out of a forest sillouette on the other side of the runway to bend and go over a small bridge over the stream and connect to the castle

SKI LIFT to observatory!
connect the road to the fire pit
also add the black smith to the platform
You should add the blacksmiths next to the Castle and air strip.

Your MOC skills are getting off the chain. So cool, love the creativity. Your Lego twins are so cute!!
I love how the creek travels trugh a big part of the city! It's looking beautiful and brings much life, color and conects everything

Regarding the short road, just make runway part of it. Maybe add some temporary barriers that can be put up when plane lands or take off.

Love the airstrip!!!! Such an awesome addition to the city! (You should add a crook hiding behind the cabin)
The airstrip plate remind me of a Wes Anderson shot especially against that grey baseplate background
There should be a hangar in between the runway and lion knights castle.

you could make a walkway arching over the traintrack to the raised platform and make the Strain station/stop on the side of the track facing the city
I really wish there was some time lapse of the actual building. It's fun to watch it all come together.
Nice grade on the airstrip just need some logs around the pit to sit on
The hobbit hole would fit perfectly on the upper platform
Putting "half" trees with a flat back like you have in the campground could be give you what you want in terms of perspective and height. ❤ your city!!!

You could add the haunted manor on the hill you originally built
awesome video jordan the raided platform looks amazing great job on the hills
Can you build a Lego mandalorian mock.
I think the Forestmen Forest Hideout would look good between the castle and the air strip. Especially surrounded be trees.
The air strip looks great!
with all the renaissance buildings being put into the city you could make it like a renaissance festival on the raised platform. If you do this it could be funny to have everyone in character then like one guy on his phone breaking character
What about a mountain hotel for guests to the castle “museum” and observatory? You could also add more height to the hill for the 8 stud house.
Love the layout. Love watching it grow and morph. If I may…I think u should put the fire pit back in its original spot and place the propane tank on the left side of the building. To me it just makes more sense functionally and aesthetically.
Nice job. Could also put the 8 stud on stilts with parking underneath to provide more height.

You could put the train station on the inside of raised train line and have a raised walkway going over the train track to the platform.
19:15 you should add an ox bow!
I am really liking the small runway and the trails . Looking forward to seeing it finished . Nice work !! D .
Love seeing the mini bricksies. Ideas rickety hanger? Blacksmith? Forest hideout?
Maybe have like a cart system going up that path on the mountain so the path is less pointless- like how the Minecraft sets do they rail and mine cart system?
Great job Bricksie. One alteration I'd make is to remove your (odd-looking) airway shack and just keep the 8 Studs House there
Love it maybe add a crazy staircase to one side of the platform to let citizens get to the platform
One option for a train station is to build it like a tunnel staircase or elevator that comes down to the raised railway and this way you wouldn't need to obstruct the builds above
Railroad arms on either end of the air strip. It could be used by the public unless there is a plane coming or going.
Love the Disney minifigs awesome airstrip update
Hi Jordan, what about adding a couple hill facades behind the cabins?
@Bricksie how about instead of a train station you make a cable car station to the raised platform, Also the path needs to carry on through the air field. It could run along side the air strip. Love your work!
Are you going to make an airport?
You could do a horse stables for a hiking/horse trail by the observatory
Hey bricksie you should build a train station below the empty baseplate between the airstrip and the castle and have it be two floors tall with the platform on the bottom and the tick hall/entrance on the top floor level with the baseplate
the road can continue to the hill behind the house of the runway. Like a hiking trail or something
Do it, Customize! LOL thanks for the content man, love this channel and always look forward to it!
Sooooo cool love the rolling green hill
You could also put up some mirror in the back
Maybe a gazebo or some kind of park structure would work well on that raised platform
Love it raised platform then straight to the raised feeding platforms with the twins ❤
To be honest one thing came directly to mind @14:38 and that is Emperor Palpatine saying: DO IT!
I noticed your Tyrannosaurus rex from the Jurrasic park set up on the shelf and thought it would look cool rampaging through the city somewhere lol
A good structure for that space beside the castle would be the tall white lego windmill, it would add some great height. I saw you had one in one of your old videos but its nowhere in your city?
