    I have to say that this is a review, most people review items they just bought. Never talk about all the problems that could happen. Thank you lady.

    The overflow filter is easy to open, remove 2 screw and prise open the seams, a bucket of soapy water or a pressure washer and dry the felt pads, reinstall with the CD, my 2019 ET2750 is back to life after "printing error" my advice, never power clean!!!

      Thanks, my model didn't have pads in it and it's the reset key that seems to be the most difficult to get.

      @@OneMamaToAnother our models are identical, the felt pads are inside the ink filled box you showed, I didn't do any reset, just installed the cleaned pads back in the container, reinstalled using the CD it's now as new! I hope this helps!

    I have been lookking into replacing my old dot matrix printer from 1990 but with all the problems and expense of inkjet and laser printers. I think i will stick with my dot matrix printer. I used to have an inkjet and every other month it was empty and ink was expensive so i threw it out. 10 dollars for a ribbon and it lasts for over a year. You cant go wrong. only down side is I dont have color which i barely used anyway and 5 minutes a page, but you just click print and walk away so its fine.

    Thanks so much for sharing your experience with this printer, this is exactly what I needed to know and what other people also should be aware of. Who cares about printing speed and theoretical cost savings per page if the printer doesn't last, stops working and can't be repaired? Wearing parts have to be replaceable _and_ available for purchase, so I guess getting another maintenance box (or whatever other manufacturers call it) right at the beginning is a really smart thing to do.

      @SmartMoneyRyan 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It might not last, but 15000 pages is alot. That would cost nearly $3000 in cartridges on any other printer.

    • @SmartMoneyRyan
      @SmartMoneyRyan 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@TheFourthWinchester except a shop here is $0.08 black and white or $0.16 for colour per page that would be $1200 for B&w or $2400 colour for comparison. almost the same price of owning a non ecotank inkjet printer. ecotank is cheaper hands down. actually my priting shop, uses the ecotank. so it would not be possible for them to be cheaper, they have staffing costs and operational costs.

    Thank you for sharing, I had no idea. I am going to see if they have the maintenance box for the model that I have.

  • @Sulfen
    @Sulfen 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I got my maintenance box from the Epson website for $9.99 free shipping. I bought one so I can change it when it requests to be changed. At least it has one because when it doesn't have a maintenance box you have to mail it for epson to repair when the internal non replaecable ink sponge fills out.

      Yes, I think they realized that they need to manufacture ones for sale now.

    We had a HP printer years ago and it had the same problem as yours with the ink filled up in that container. HP was just going to give us a credit towards another printer, but my husband found that box and cleaned it himself and the printer worked fine again after that. Maybe you could clean that out yourself too?

    • @OneMamaToAnother
      @OneMamaToAnother  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      This style is able to be cleaned but the main issue really is the reset key.

  • @TheFourthWinchester
    @TheFourthWinchester 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I think you can remove those sponges and wash it by hand and dry it and then put it back in. After that you can reset the machine and it will work fine.

    • @OneMamaToAnother
      @OneMamaToAnother  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      This model doesn’t have the sponges that you can remove. You also need a key to reset the machine after.

      @@OneMamaToAnother Oh that's too bad. U can try to just wash the entire thing with a toothbrush and soap and let it dry and check for a trial key online.

    It would have been awesome if they made the maintenance cartridge a tank AS WELL that you simply empty once full. But then Epson has to make money, right?

    It amazes me that Epson knows about this problem, yet allow outside companies to sell software patch that allows for the print count to be reset, if I’m willing to pay, why can Epson do the same thing, sell the tank and the software at the same time

    • @OneMamaToAnother
      @OneMamaToAnother  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There are ways to fix it but it depends a bit on how the company proceeds. Will they offer the fixes or not? If you print a lot it can still be a big savings.

    I don't think these are worth it. High initial cost, longevity questions, no support from manufacturers and unless you pay for the premium models, stripped of features like duplex printing, auto feeding and nice lcd displays.

      Auto duplex slows the printing process down, ALOT. Just flip the stack and put it back in the tray with the both sided printing on.

  • @SmartMoneyRyan
    @SmartMoneyRyan 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Okay for people who are angry you have to realize 15000 pages would cost $3000 on any other printer. and expecting long time support for parts, is kinda stupid it doesn't make financial sense. Epson would go bankrupt. Do you want a cheap printer or not? If you wanted to have longtime support the printers would need to be atleast 3-4x the price.

      Businesses have the right to make money but it's also good for consumers to be informed.

      @@OneMamaToAnother I actually just bought one of these printers, that's why I'm as here. I went and asked the dealer. Yes I have an Epson service centre here. And you can get the parts. North America must just suck for that stuff. We also have an Asus service centre here and brother. In Canada I always had to ship stuff off. Where I live in now is technically a "3rd world country" and they have these services 🤔 so strange.

      @@OneMamaToAnother Fair enough to point out for sure. It is an issue to be aware of. However even with that, you probably saved, realistically, $1000's over a traditional cartridge style printer over its useful life? Quite literally my HP costs $100 for a set of cartridges.
