I can sympathise, I tried to cover a piece of motorbike fairing with carbon fibre mat and the damn thing just wouldn't cure, the leftover resin in the cup cured in like 15-20 mins but 4 hours in and I'm still using a roller on the edges of the piece that keep lifting, 6 or 7 hours after starting and I give up as I have to go out so peel off the still completely wet carbon mat, that finally cured balled up in the bin overnight. It did not work out like the videos that made it look so dang easy 🤷♂️
If you really want the most out of it you need to know the tuning frequency of the enclosure and also the port. Need to know the T/S parameters for the drivers etc. might be able to reach out to hexibass and see if he could help you design a better acoustic version for that. Tiny drivers need ported enclosures. Gets more depth and range from them.
A trick that will make sound better is fiber fill. Like that is in stuffed animals. It is a old trick of making speaker boxes sound better. Don't pack it full just need a loose fill.
Is that 2:1 epoxy? Thats for deep pour, alous for a slower reaction, produces less heat. Takes forever and some times never hardens, as you now know. 😂 Hey, we win or we learn!
as TH-cam changes, we have to change too. Revenue for creators has changed and if we want to try and make it reasonable to run a channel, we have to do what is available. The content is still free.
@ I understand all of that, and I appreciate the fact that the content is free. I still enjoy you and Matt more than pretty much any RC content creators on this platform. It’s just like some of the other channels that do their own advertising in the middle of a video. At least half the time, I just switch to another video because I already have to watch TH-cam ads.
The box is loaded on my site and available for download now! Find it here: harleydesigns.com/store/h10-optic-speaker-box
How the turntables have turned...
Two slackers in one week. What am I paying for again?
@ hey! We still did stuff! 😂
@ perhaps you can bury that chunk of carbon fiber in the hole that you dug in your yard 😂
@@longtalltexanrc3358 now that’s funny.
@@HarleyDesignsInc Y’all just keep doing what you’re doing and I’ll try to make laugh in between
The speaker retaining rings should be gold to match the fire chicken.
I love that Nicole is a channel member
Sealed is definitely the way to go.
The Wheel saw your animosity towards Matt and bestowed you with the curse of the Sewer Rat.
You for sure need to be playing "East Bound and Down"....to go with your theme!
Tuned ported sub box!!!
Super cool build Josh seriously awesome
70st comment
It does need a gloss or semi gloss clearcoat on the truck, to match the hood the roof. But it looks awesome.
"But do you hear .. Crab rave"
"Say what now?"
🦀
Now you can get some 3d printed cassette tapes to toss on the floor boards!👍
Great Recovery!!!
Praise Wheel Josh! You got your truck back.
Great intro...still watching but thats a great start🍻
Great recovery. Nobody will ever know.
I have been playing with ports as well and a sealed box definitely has more bass. These little speakers like little boxes!!!
Step 1
Seal the hole in the box.
Step 2
Bump your beats in the box
That’s what she said
There better be an SD card with East bound and down on repeat for this sound system

keep the port and install a tube that goes in about two thirds to the back. it will give better bass
I don't think that's even cheating Josh. Especially compared to Matts digging a hole.
Sealed sounded so much better, cleaner sounding
12:23 omg I want this
What truck is the chassis from?
You could make a TPU port plug with a little handle on it.
Hey josh, can you upload the rear deck cover also?
Let’s be honest anyone who knows what Bobby does knows damn well if he built a tiny box it would be a masterpiece of Multi layer bass gravy lol.
If I ever do audio in a truck, I want it in the bed of a CEN 450 like a show truck

Yeah port length and volume was a parameter but it was based on big assumptions on these drivers as it’s not readily available.
Could you make a plug for the port so then you can have both in one box
That’s what I ended up doing. It’s in the download on the site already.
What brand of subs are you running in your Gatley Audio box
I ran Gately relentless. But I sold the Jeep so don’t have them installed any longer.
That's cool. I'm 43 and everyone gives me hell for having a lot of after market car audio. But I can't stand factory stuff
I didn't see any video from last week.😢 is it labeled as something else because I don't even see that episode on your page..

You could've use a carbon fiber sticker
Be great for a wedding. An rc driving dj
Get a diaphragm for the speakers that way you get the sound of ported but still sealed
Please play Crazy Frog on your optic in the next video!!!
Make the port smaller? best of both
You coulda thrown it away 24hrs ago 😂
I think it's more tiny with the port
Sealed sounds much better, much more bass and less tinny.
hmm.... lol. That's all I got for this one.
I’m a little disappointed you didn’t play Skat man…..lol
PLUG THE PORT!!!
I made a quickly removable plug for the port and got it uploaded to my site already!
Dude thats not cheating its a loop hole👍working smarter
Just design a plug to put in the port. Then you can remove/install of your change your mind
you need B2 audio 2 inch scale subwoofer :))
I saw them but they’re just so big!
Port needs to " load" into something to " sound" good.
Send Matt his controller back .
Print it in cf PETG or ABS
Less cheating than SBG for a change.😉
There's always mob audio I have one in a trx it's great and petty much plug and play
Yeah but all the styles are too basic
Is that 2:1 epoxy? Thats for deep pour, alous for a slower reaction, produces less heat. Takes forever and some times never hardens, as you now know. 😂
Hey, we win or we learn!
It’s infusion resin for Carbon fiber work, so it should have worked. I even mixed it a little hot. Very odd.
Queer'd
Praise wheel ? Salvation is by faith and is not a lottery it’s a choice
Sealed sounds better.
Sticky 2 (not a boat)
Seal it and add a tweet.
On video I think sealed sounds better but video can be deceiving
You need you’re optic Soundsystem to say. Mines better than yours. when Matt calls you
sealed is better, at least through your mic
Leave it ported sounded better
What about a "huge" scale mini-sub woofer?
