    after hearing all this ford Chevy bashing good to see a ford guy showing respect to a Chevy because at the end of the day they are both great trucks .

    I love the 3.5 especially in the Ecoboost load-out.

    In my opinion ford did a good job with this truck I do like the ecoboost
    very off topic but I like how big the exhaust tip is on the newer style expeditions

    I love the 3.5 EcoBoost, I just think a full-sized American SUV deserves a V8, even if it's a 3.5 V8, lol.

    Very nice truck! My late fiancé's parents have a 2015 F-150 with this engine. Its a very nice truck, but personally I'm more of an SUV person, so I'd probably prefer this truck.

    I have a Bose system in my Saab 9-7x. It's fantastic system. The Expedition was well overdue for an overhaul. First time since MY2007. I hate to say it but I think I like the new Tahoe a little better. EcoBoost is a fantastic engine. Too bad they aren't offering these with the Police Package.

    My aunt has a 2011 Ford Expedition EL XLT that she got last year in November. It has the 5.4 V8 engine. The new ones are ver nice but pricey i think that is the reason why she did not get the new ones. Plus she had a 2002 Ford Windstar Mini van with 227,000 miles and it died on them. So they needed to get something else fast. And she really did not wanted to spent lots of money to get a new one. So the Ford dealership had the 2011 one and they got a good deal on it. She really loves it how big it is we have my 3 cousins. Plus my cousin Julie and her little son that they live with my aunt and uncle. Also my cousin Eric and his son watch he does not live with them he lives with the mother. But she loves it so when they go on long road trips like when they come from WI To visit us. How they is so much room inside. Even it is the XLT model it has some nice things even two TV's that are in the head rest.

    expeditions are great comes fully loaded and weights nearly 3tons but the ecopoop is a no-no. ford could of atleast option a 5.O V8 but too bad. time to switch I suppose...

      The 2011+ Expedition used to be one of the most reliable SUV's available until they put the EcoBoost in it. American-made petrol turbocharged engines have a lot of maturing to do before I'd ever consider owning one out of warranty

    I'm surprised they still make the Expedition, I think it's well overdue for a major redesign though.

      +ikolkyo They have held the line well for a while now but the new modal is not far off now. www.autoblog.com/2015/09/30/2018-ford-expedition-spy-shots/

    I don't like that the engine is partially inside. looks like a mechanic will have a hard time in the case that it has to come out.

    its just weird the way it starts up, you'd expect to hear a v8 in a big suv like this

      +trigga ville Eventually SUVs will have electric motors and won't make any sounds. Consider this as practice.

    Very nice, but your telling me that my Jeep Liberty's 3.7L V6 is stronger than an engine in a vehicle that is twice it's size, quadruple it's price, and a decade newer?! Seems a bit stupid to put a V6 in a vehicle of that size. What happens when it ages a bit and starts to loose of it HP? I don't think it will be going very fast down the highway.

      ^disregard that I missed the "twin turbo" part. However, I still think a V8 or Triton V10 make more sense for a vehicle of this size because honestly nobody buys a fully loaded full-size SUV with fuel economy in mind. On the plus side, I love the chime the vehicle makes when its fired up.

    This cluster is not proper for a truck or SUV, I would stick to old fashion 6 nedle indicators. Its a truck not a Fiesta / Focus ... twin turbo ? ... money pit.

    • @Mr.Worf63
      @Mr.Worf63 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      38911bytefree Yeah that dash looks so cheap !! Proper gauges would be a hole lot better . For every car or truck . Needs an amber rear turn signal too . Way to bland in the back .

    • @38911bytefree
      @38911bytefree 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mr. Worf I like a lot the cluster on the F150 or the Silverados. Even when its "up to date" looking they are still telling, you bought a TRUCK. I know many cases (entry and mid GM cars) with no temperature gauge !!!!. Probably the average buyer dont care about engine temperature anymore !!!!!

    • @Mr.Worf63
      @Mr.Worf63 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      38911bytefree I like the cluster on the Ram , but all gauges are needed regardless of which truck you buy . No temp gauge is what Mazda does , you get a blue light that I thought meant it needed washer fluid . Stupid idea .

    needs a column shifter

    • @BernonCars
      @BernonCars 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Why?

    • @ogalief
      @ogalief 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. Column shifters look way better than those dinky dash mounted shifters (like what's in the Caravan), are more ergonomic, and give you more room for cup holders and shit. I have no idea why some automakers are shying away from them

    • @moose2934
      @moose2934 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I could not agree more. I just bought one of these yesterday (a 2016 XLT EL 4x4)... and only wish that it had USB outputs, a bit more ground clearance, and a column shifter.

    Put some miles on that motor and then come back and tell us how well its holding up. That's what we want to hear about.
