Just got mine in the mail yesterday. This is my first Spyderco. Does anyone else think it feels kind of cheap? Is the action on the lightweight the same as the Para 3? It might just take me a while to get used to flicking this thing, and the knife to break in a little.
Good now I’m just waiting on the delica style color handles to drop and I’m in, recently got rid of my s35 earth g10 so that would make a nice replacement, this time I think I’ll go full serrated though. Thanks for the upload! Have a good one!
I love the way they contour the scales a little more on the lightweights! The G-10 versions are squared off scales... this is going to make me a Para 3 fan!
Oh it’s absolutely a Delica killer lol. I would gladly pay the extra for that deep carry clip, similar weight, similar size but better ergonomics.... And the Para3 lacks my least favorite feature of the Delica, the backlock!
@@chrischavez8366 yea, but you get the finger choil at the expense of not being able to get a full 4 finger grip on the regular handle. The choil here is mandatory to get a full grip. I really don't understand the obsession with those choils when a knife can be designed to put your hand at the blade's edge using the regular handle's grip. See: Spyderco Caribbean and Lil Temperance 3. Absolutely no need for a choil when it's designed right.
Only thing the delica has over the para 3 LW is the thinner blade. 0.15" thick is completely unnecessary for almost any realistic task for a non-fixed blade knife.
Cavedog The stock is a little thicker than needed for sure. But it’s not overly beefy, and weight is about the same as the Delica. But you’re probably right, some thinner stock wouldn’t hurt.
I already wish we had something different in color lol. DLC blade maybe? But Thank You thank you thank you for moving that stupid lanyard hole. I would love to have it omitted but at least now it’s not completely in the way! Great review as always.
Great job on the video...just ordered the Para 3 Lt. weight with serrated edge
I like the serrated.
The knife I bought from your trimming brings me much joy and so do your videos. Keep up your wonderful videos.
Thank you for watching and helping with the trimming! Enjoy!
Cool video man great comparisons
Can't wait!!
I’m so happy.....that Spyderco fixed the Para 3 with the pocket clip and lanyard hole. Now we just need a light weight PM2💪
Paramilitary 2 lightweight might be coming our way in the future. I saw a picture of a Military Lightweight and Sage 5 Lightweight!

If they do a lc200n then im in!!!!
I would love to see that!
Looking forward to making this my EDC when it comes out in a snappy color.

Glad to see they are finally coming out. Hope to get mine soon I pre ordered one on Jan 14
Thanks Kevin for the video. Awesome knife there with that light weight. Have a great rest of your weekend.
Not a Delica killer but a Bugout killer...🦟❌. Liking the serrated👀.
Great video Kevin. Nice knife 👍

Subiesaurus Rex all that plus a finger choil!

Hey man I love your Spyderco collection. When do you sell off knives? I'd love to buy some.
I trim my collection every two months or so. I only sale to this TH-cam.
@@keithkevinken I shall be looking forward to the next time you trim your collection down.
I can't wait to get my para3 light
I really want a para 3 with that #23 on it!.
Keep up the good work!
Hell yeah ive been waiting for the para 3 LW started to think they were never coming
Really awesome knife reviews!!! :D
Still waiting on mine for 4 months from Knife Center.
Should be coming soon.
Now I am going to have to buy a aftermarket hi viz clip. Spyderco should include knife shame free clips for this knife.
I already wish we had something different in color lol. DLC blade maybe?

Colors and variations are coming!
Why BD1-N steel? That is a budget steel. This knife should be fairly cheap.
It's a different steel than CTS-bd1. CTS-BD1N is more comparable to s30 or s35vn.
Johney5 Spot , that’s good to know.
Spyderco vs Benchmade. I’m tired of waiting for models. Let’s speed up production!!!
Come on bhq send my email so i can start carrying this badass knife
Idk how the action is going to be on these, there is only a washer on one side of the blade..
theres a video on instragram of one that drops free with a little adjustment of the pivot. Seems very smooth.
More a spyderco persistence killer with a steel downgrade, caparall LTW have the same steel
Nope not a Delica killer for sure
Oh man I need you to sell it to me !!!!!!
