- I have had a few questions about the exact maximum space with the seat's set as far back as they can go and can you sleep in the car. I am 6 ft 1 and 16 stone 6 so this will video will give you an idea. The height of the load space is 35 inches or 89cm's. if the rear seats where removed completely and fromt seats pushed forward, that should afford a few more inches perhaps.
It does, plenty enough to sleep. Not very bright our friend ...
I took the back bench seat out (not easy) but then simply decided to fold it flat on itsself and make a shelf at the height of the folded back seat and that gives you all the length of the car up to the front seats. Its more comfortable also as you can peek through the windows.
More than 200cm long in the back like that! Perfect for a fishing trip.
A bit like this for all the length with bac seat folded upon itsself and a wooden shelf for the legs with storage space underneath.

I know Ive done it ! Removed the 3 seats behind the driver's seat,put in a ply floor to make level,an Bingo ! A tent on wheels.

Thanks for this - really helpful! Could I ask which model of Zafira you have? - I understand that some have deeper boots than others (I think the Tourer is a lot longer than the Club, for example)
The club is a particular model like Elite etc on the same chassis. In the UK this model is known as the Vauxhall Zafira (2005-2014). The Vauxhall Zafira Tourer in the UK was on sale from 2011-2018. This is a slightly larger car.

That's one possibility. We fold up the seats and fill in a layer in the trunk to level it out then pop an air mattress on top.
Why not just book a cheap hotel ?.

Long time later.. but... what do you use to fill the space to level?? Im trying to find sonething that works but isnt just more to fill the car asni need all the space i can get. So please could you share your wisdom especially as i already know ae think alike about prices of hotels..😉

Not set piece. With a ratchet you probably could.
Yes it is & a further 12inches in length can be gained

Not in my car. You have not watched the video. Even if it did where would the back seat go, you cannot fold down the drivers seat.
@@PaulBriden in the 2005 Zafira A in my neighbours version the passenger front seat folds down flat. Maybe worth seeing if some are available second hand?

I am 5’11” and can easily sleep at full stretch in my Zafira. Push front seats forward and push backs forward. Then push rear seat backs forward ( there is a ridge of a few inches ). Get a foldable camp bed and push in leaving forward legs retracted ( to compensate for height of back seats ) and Bob’s your uncle!
