Thank you so much for your great guidance on Cabin Hollow❤ I feel so at home here! I am a female solo traveler and it could not be more perfect😊❤ Thanks again!! Gigi✌
June, 15, 2021, Stayed in Cabin Hallow on a dead end spot next to a dry river bed. As we set up camp a couple horse riders came through, then no one. Left our camp set up to explore Arches and came back to find our camp undisturbed. Stayed 3 days with no problems. Thanks for the info.
Sounds like a peaceful stay. We'd love to see a review of your experience at Cabin Hollow over on the Campendium review site: www.campendium.com/cabin-hollow
This is the kind of video I like to see on Campendium. Awesome information and visuals . Great job Seth :-) Wish we had known about the boondocking options when we were there in 2012.
Great video on opportunities at Bryce. I'm there right now at the entrance road to Red Canyon Trailhead. Lots of photo opportunities here at Red Canyon and I can use my quad ATC to get around. Note: To get into Red Canyon your ATV can be no wider than 50 inches. This should cover most ATCs but side-by-sides ATVs aren't going to make it. To enforce this rule is a little bridge-type structure you have to cross that's 50 inches wide with heavy steel sides.
Thank you so much for this video. We stayed in Bryce Canyon but it was so crowded. We want to go back and this video may be the catalyst that helps make it happen. Keep up the good work!
I note that there is a tunnel in the background a couple of times in the video. If I recall this tunnel is on the main road going to Bryce. Do you know the clearance for that tunnel? Love the video. I recommend the hike from the rim down into the fins. Beautiful.
The tunnel clearance is 13'- 6" but be careful as the sides slope down dramatically. We noticed a large gash in the tunnel wall undoubtedly from a trailer that got too close!
Thanks for many great videos and info. One thing I would like to know is water source, for those like me who travels light and don't want to carry many gallons of water for cooking and bathing. This info would be great to include in your future videos. And of course, where can one swim if allowed. Thanks again.
Great video, one bit of information that would be very helpful for us pulling large 5th wheels is how accessible these places are for our big rigs. It's always difficult to find good information on the size of rig that is appropriate for the sites.
You can find more information - and information on what is known about accessibility for rig size - over on the the Campendium website. Search for the campground you're interested in and see other if have reported being able to squeeze into a spot - or use the direct contact or website provided on Campendium for further research: www.campendium.com - Liz
I am going to love your channel. I wish that when people left reviews they would talk about cell service to. Being alone woman if I break down I need to call for help. Not possible if no cell service
Hi Terry - Agreed! Cell service reports are super helpful! In case you didn't know, we also have cell-service overlay maps for supporters. Safe travels! - Leigh
Hey guys. I’m planning to buy a B+ / C class RV for myself and my german shepherd to travel and camp off-grid around the US for a year. I’d like the van to be spacious, and have great off-grid capabilities such as solar panel extension option, etc. I’ll be working for maybe 4-5 hours a day, so would require good internet connection and power supply. I also like to watch Netflix at night lol. So good power supply is key. I have personally liked Thor Delano and RVs similar but I’m unsure if they’re fit for the lifestyle mentioned above Could you all please guide me? Any links or suggestions would be highly appreciated
Excited for your future journey, Danny! At Campendium we focus on helping you find a great campsite. I recommend searching for forums regarding specific rig types you're interested in. Once you're ready to camp/RV, be sure to check out Campendium to help you find (and review!) campsites! -Liz
Well produced content. However, by disclosing these spots people are just going to ruin everything good about them. Too many people will result in them getting shut down. Part of the challenge of dispersed camping is hunting out those secret quiet spots. Once they are known to the masses they get ruined. Just my $.02.
We respect this line of thinking. Campendium pairs the sharing of designated camping spots on our public lands with resources for learning to be a good steward of our shared lands. If you're interested in learning more about protecting our public lands, head over to the sustainability portion of the Campendium blog: www.campendium.com/camping/category/sustainability/. -Liz
Nice report. I'll use the dispersed sites this fall when I return. We were there 2wks ago with the family. With 6 of us creating so much body heat in the RV, we had to have FHU, so we stayed at Bryce Canyon Pines campground, about 10min outside the NP. It was hot, in the high 80's. We needed the AC running, even at night. Had a great time though, incredible hoodoos. Here's my drone footage.... th-cam.com/video/UWgiks5Dz-c/w-d-xo.html
I'll echo what one other person with common sense said on here but with less eloquence: Yo! Way to ruin this place! I camped here a few times years ago and would have liked to continue using it for future ventures to the park, by seeking clout on TH-cam you've even lessened your own chances at being able to camp here again. What irony!
We welcome the Campendium community to share and review great (and not so great) camping spots. We also work to educate the community on protecting our public lands, which have been set aside for all of us to enjoy. If you're looking for a new spot to camp, we welcome you to use the website or app to find it. :) If you're looking for information on protecting public lands - we share that too! - Liz
We live in the region. The secret got out in 2015 when Utah ran their Mighty Five tourism campaign. Tourism has exploded in the area since then. Still, lots of public lands to get out and see the not so popular but equally beautiful countryside.
Great video Seth. I'm happy you joined the Campendium team! Looking forward to your next video suggestions. @stan_n_ollie
I couldn't agree more, we love Seth's videos! - Leigh
Thank you so much for your great guidance on Cabin Hollow❤

Beautiful! God's creation is amazing! It didn't take Him millions of years to create it either! Unbelievable!!!

@@Campendium Well, my rig is 13 ft 6 inches, so no tunnel for us. Thanks for the info. Is there another way into the area without the tunnel?
Hahaha I was just there a month ago and did a video. I love Bryce Canyon. I even used the same fun fact about it not being a canyon. take care friend

Hello Drea! 👋👋👋
I thought it was Drea too, but it's Sara! (a writer/editor on our team) 😊
Will there ever be an Android app for campendium ?
Great news! The Campendium Android app is now ready! Head to the Google Play store and search for Campendium to download the new app. Happy camping!
