I have watched this video and the Live concerts about two and a half months ago and cried every time…thought I was done crying but there you two go making me cry… ☹️💖
I often feel this band is writing songs for young people like this song and also "We are" that you guys reacted already. Taka wrote "We are" for 18 years old who had their coming of age.
Taka's MC for 18 years old was like this:
I guess many things have happened to brings you to this day, but I’m sure many things will happen to you in the future as well. Just one thing I want to say is that you are no longer children. I believe that you are fine adults. There are so many adults who are worthless even when they are old. Even if you are minor, you have wonderful thoughts and wonderful passion.
There are many people living in this world with these feelings. Each of you has variety of emotion such as passion, sense of justice and guild but don’t lie each one of them. My number one motto is to live my life in a way that is always being true to myself. Of cause many things will happen in the future but I want you to move forward without lying about reactions to all of things. I wrote this song with those feelings in mind.
Wish I had known them when was 18.
Besides the amazing talent OOR has, they pour emotion and open the door to amazing conversations.

My introduction to this band was through this song. I was blessed to see them perform this song live in 2022. Taka brought 2 kids from the audience to join him on stage. It was epic. The contradiction society puts on our youth is devastating.

That MV never fails to make me tear up. Especially as soon as the contemporary dance starts. I always Always ALWAYS get so emotional, and I can’t even count how many times I’ve seen this MV.
I remember my childhood friend who is a dancer.
Sometimes I see him practice while crying, but he threw his emotion away and keep going with it like a professional.
Of course the dance part make me teared up too, because it remind me of my friend.

As someone who pretty much lived this video beat for beat (minus the car crash, thankfully), I tear up every time I see it, and I'm always glad to see others discovering it.

Love this reaction and I can relate; when I was in school, I couldn't talk about my nerdy hobbies (D&D, video games, etc.) due to fear of being a social outcast. I was lucky to find friends that liked the same and they are my friends today, 30 years later. This music video was so wonderful and my Okinawan heritage was very similar, smelly lunches, different clothes, etc. What is strange is at the very end, the mother locks up shop alone...where is the father? In my experience, my mother and father was always together, especially at night. Was he the one that was in the car crash?

When I watched the video when it came out and the kid grew up to be a bully I cried and yelled "traitor" then was happy with the ending but the orchestra version of this song is so good

As a guy get adopted by a french couple (i was born in Colombia) in 1980, i recognize in this video for the first part because in schools i was considered as an asian and all the racist from the kids but also the persons of the schools (teachers etc...) these "walls" were hard to pass through. As a 43y old man now, i try to protect a lot my family about this. This song and videoclip were awesome and sad. Love your reactions.
