If you come to Russia with open heart and with good intentions Russian people always welcome you no matter what colour is your skin. There is no racism period in the history of our country. In some small town people maybe will stare at people who looks different, but it's because they hardly ever see people of another race.

If you meet an African American at work, they're approachable and easier to get a long with. The rest are unapproachable, unpredictable due to how they dress and you never know what to expect. We see a lot of crime created in America. African people in Russia look clean and approachable, with a purpose in life.

I remember the moment when I saw a black man for the first time. I was 6 years old, my mother and I were waiting for the bus at the station. There was a black man there. I pulled my mother's dress and pointed my finger at this person and asked - who is this? Mom said pointing a finger at a person is not good. We don't have racism in Russia. In Russia, they can joke about a black or Asian, but never humiliate or oppress. Russian people live in Orthodox culture. There is no false and hypocritical political correctness in Russia. We are a different culture, we did not know slavery and racial restrictions. We all people are equal. One of the pillars of our culture Pushkin has African warnies.

Russians are not rasist, but there are some xenohpobic tetsions deep underneath.
The times of radical rasist gropus like skin-heads are long gone, but still, ordinary people can be rude and annoying, especially out of big cities.
Also, as for black people - there are still so few of them in Russian society, so we may act with cautions and thet waht could be seen as inapropriate attention.
As far as language barrier is down - the lots of problems in interaction could be easly solved.
What we need is more interactions and talk to know each other better.
Those black people who were raised in Russia would beconsidered as russians, we always were a multicultulal empire.
But those, who came here just recently can expect a barrier in inreaction.
Also, these times are really bad days and I feel sad for all the foreigers, who came to Russia recently.
