I don't care what anybody has to say. The police should have been charged as well. They failed a 14yr old boy. It does not matter re: Their opinion about a so-called "gay relationship." They saw a 14yr old boy that had been visibly beaten, and bleeding. He was also under the influence of something. The police never even used common sense in this situation. If they had, they would have considered the possibility that the 14yr old boy could have been drugged, and kidnapped. So sad. They had an opportunity to save someone, and they failed.

    • @jck1794
      @jck1794 6 ปีที่แล้ว +22

maybe, now hear me out now, maybe it's the "killing" part that creeps people out

    • @winterhaydn5640
      @winterhaydn5640 6 ปีที่แล้ว +35

I think the part that disturbs people is that they see some humanity in the killer and it ruins their idea of what he is supposed to be. It's easier to think murderers are the kind of "villains" in Hollywood films with no feelings and sinister intentions up their sleeves (very 2-dimensional), than someone who's sensitive, intelligent, and competent -but who became distorted somewhere along the way .... leading to depraved, harmful behavior.
--- Not to condone or condemn what Dahmer or anyone similar to him has done, we obviously can't look passed that, but society still has a primitive sense of what they call "evil people" (a superstitious and empty term invented by religion, which doesn't actually exist in nature). There's still this very outdated idea that humans/behaviors exist in isolation, ignoring the interconnected reality of life .....
The point is, pressures on the brain seem to be what cause people to act out in violent ways. And these originate from somewhere. It can be due to stress, or physical and/mental trauma, or brain injuries. What has been long been shown is that the most violent men in society generally have some of the worst upbringings imaginable, leading to this damaged state of being. There is a physiological reason for what they do. Furthermore, primary feelings like loss, shame, abandonment can drive their abnormal thoughts and trigger episodes of harmful behavior.
So, until we recognize what is going on underneath the primary picture, and stop relying on this highly crude duality of "good or bad" viewpoint, there is absolutely no way to solve the issue -- which is the biggest tragedy, since the public only reacts AFTER the worst part of a chain of events has unfolded ..... in order to feel some shallow sense of "justice" (revenge) and accomplishment by "punishing" them for what they've done.
Their limited frame of mind never takes into account that the attacker himself (and many people connected to him him) could very well have been a victim at some point too. Meaning, that if we found a way to intervene and treat his conditions or at least humanely isolate him from others in society (hoping to understand the matter better), it could have saved a lot of lost lives and torment. --Or, far better, find a way to prevent or decrease the environmental conditions which formed such negative patterns.
*Anyone who feels good about simply pointing fingers at "the monster" really needs to consider what it is they're accomplishing.*
It's quite literally allowing for MORE murders, assaults and violence to happen in the world, not less. The victims involved will only have died in vain.

The Legend Of Jacko Nola Chick I have a type written letter from Jeffrey Dahmer to my preacher. They had corresponded, prompted by JD,
I believe. I know he was baptized by a Church of Christ preacher. My preacher sent him pamphlets and JD discussed them with my preacher. I truly believe he was forgiven of his sins. He honestly confesses he still has the urges to return to his old life. That is what Christianity is, after true repentance you are forgiven of all your sins. The Bible says that no sin is worse than another. Sin is sin. The peace of forgiveness promises further forgiveness. In other words, when he has those urges he prays with a true heart to God to forgive him and it is done. The devil works hard on you after you have given yourself to God. I appreciate his honesty (being truly saved demands this). This is why he is so open about everything. I don’t know where the letter is right now but when I come across it, I will look you up and send it to you if you like. My preacher has passed approximately 2 years ago and he spoke of this occasionally. Have a blessed day.

That sounds about right. My son got the death penalty for a crime that his common law wife committed and she got life without parole. There was no evidence that he was even there and that is even mentioned in the records. No fingerprints or DNA, it was all hers . My son was executed in 2003, only four years after the crime was committed. He wrote a letter to the attorney general and requested his date to be set and it was said that it was nothing more than an assisted suicide. I am still waiting to wake up from my nightmare. And you wouldn't believe how people have treated me since all of this .

He was bleeding from his butt from being raped there, he was the one who had hot water injected into his brain, Dahmer tried to take him back to his apartment by his hand and the child resisted, the women said to the officers: look, he doesn't even want to go back with him, officers told them to shut up and took the kid back with him. It was also heard over the radio that they were laughing and one said "My partner is going to get deloused at the station", which I'm guessing may be a racial slur but I'm not entirely sure. They legitimately just did not care. The second pair who saved the last man Dahmer tried to murder, were far more serious.

Svinja Nola Chick I have a type written letter from Jeffrey Dahmer to my preacher.

I feel like he is different from others serial killers, like, he is simply telling the truth here, he doesn't try to get the interviewer to ''like'' him or tries to be charismatic - like Bundy did with everyone else - He is neither violent or agressive while having a conversation
I guess he knows and understands what he did was wrong, but he can't care, while other serial killers don't care

Hearing what he says about it also helps you to see just how sick he really was. It gives an insight into the psychology of murderous psychopaths. I know this guy seems very honest and accountable but when he sits there and says "I'm the only one to blame, not my parents, nobody but me". 27:17 If anyone is interested, Theresa Smith actually ended up forgiving Jeffrey Dahmer some time after this interview. She made a visit to him in prison to get some closure and felt that Jeffrey was truly remorseful of his actions. He apologized to her and told her what her brother's final words were. She was relieved that Jeffrey sedated her brother before murdering him. She also became friends with his dad and step-mother and said that she couldn’t really blame them for not noticing their son's crimes.

We as highly sentient creatures should know right from wrong, I realise that for sure, and a human killing and eating their own kind IS wrong clearly. There is no treatment nor cure, but good and evil are terms I struggle with. As was stated in other comments, even he struggles to explain the impetus behind his deeds. I was the person who uploaded this video. I bought a dvd online that was rare can't remember where from. But the footage had an extra 3 hours. There was also a court video that isn't on youtube anywhere. I didn't expect this to get so many views. I uploaded it for a friend to see some unseen footage from the dvd. I'm very much into the psychology of dahmer, He had BPD and some paraphernalia. I also suffer from BPD though note. BPD does not cause this but i can understand why. the feeling of being constantly alone and parent's abandoning you i have gone through similar and mainly sit alone everyday with no human contact. That feeling can make you really upset and just makes you want someone with you at any cost of being alone. Hence why he kept people with him some extreme type of BPD loneliness alcohol and paraphernalia. Very upsetting story. i feel sorry for him though i hate what he did.
Also his first murder only happened because he was going to leave.
BPD symptom -> fear of abandonment.
Myself i get angry and upset when people leave he must have had really bad BPD. plus the fact he had a paraphernalia of dead bodys you can see why he did what he did.
Iv'e read a hell of a lot of books on dahmer infact all of them.
He was really mentally ill and alone plus the mixture of alcohol was always involved.
This is my conclusion of why he did what he did.
interest in dead animals, At a young age. And the anatomy of animals.
family arguments. Never really a part of the family or just straight ignored because of the arguments his family had.
Developed BPD after being used in school as a mascot, Mixed with loneliness of family involvement and never had any real friends.
Began to drink because of this (NOTE: people with bpd struggling with emotions abuse alcohol and drugs).
At this point he began thinking of someone he could have and didn't have to fight for them to be with them.
So he probably thought back to the dead animals that didn't move. Began fantasising about humans.
I believe this happened due to the extreme loneliness this guy had.
He had noone and just wanted someone to stay.
This intern lead to paraphernalia. Because the people he wanted were those that didn't move.
Those who couldn't possibly leave him.
Now fast forward to the first murder before that.
So he met him and they got drunk. The guy wanted to leave but dahmer really liked him.
All above mentioned you can see why he didn't want him to leave so that is why i truly believe he did what he did.
(Sorry for long message but thank you guys for watching leave a comment on your thoughts on why below)

@@lucyamy7966 of course he wanted the death sentence 🙄 that doesn't show he's remorseful!! He literally said he would still be killing if he were free so they need to keep him locked up. He wanted to die because he was caught and he could no longer hide who he was. He wanted to die because he could no longer KILL--which he seemed to think was his life purpose. Death is the easy way out for these types of cowards who can harm others but can't handle it when they have to face the consequences of their actions.
If he truly was remorseful, he would have taken himself out before or after his first murder.
Of course he had empathy. How else do you think he was capable of luring so many men? He understood these men. You are literally living proof of someone who is sympathizing and making excuses for a man, no a MONSTER, who was able to go a decade murdering without being caught. He had so much time to change, get help, to turn himself in. But he was calculated and a monster, so he didn't.

No doubt she'll have nightmares forever. And yes, neighbors did complain about the smells. Just no one did anything about it. Fucked up world we live in. The smell from John Wayne Gacy is what actually got that freak busted. He invited cops into the house and one went to use the bathroom and he recognized the smell of body decomposition. They then got a warrant and found all those young men buried beneath under the fucking house. Crazy shit.

I think he knows himself better than anyone. Maybe at the time he was committing the crimes there was a lot of brain fog but I don't agree with the reporters that he doesn't know. Most ppl even adults don't begin to understand their negative behavior or addictions until later in life when "the puzzle"starts to fall into place. I think being sober has helped him to reflect.

Lean Meat for once I agree with what I see here. And i think he is on heavy medication too and that changes someone sometimes, plus he is intelligent and know, like he said it on his trial, that he is going to jail for life, he has nothing to loose, do you know what's it's like having nothing to loose? You say anything you want to say, and what is the point in lying? imagine that but with so much attention. He doesn't blame sociaty and his parents but, when you're in that kind of middle, when you know your chemistry, you don't start drinking just like that so heavily. I'm not finding excuses, you can explain evil but you can't excuse it. It's just a very interesting matter, thats why we're all here, looking at that show...That show that treats the case with a indicent curiosity mixt with excitement , when the journalist said "and that will shock you" as if it was a promis for a excitement beyond limits...

The state should never have put him in general population in prison they should have kept him away from other prisoners and instead study this man more because the police could have learnt a lot from him it's not everyday you get a nut case like this you can study . And if they could have put him under hypnosis who knows what they could have found out what really was going on in this looneys head ??

Agree, but the move was made in part due to Dahmer's own request. He stated multiple times that he didn't care what happened to him and wanted to die.

alanmeires There was no need to sequester this man. He is a criminally insane cannibal who was aided and abetted by the Milwaukee Police Department. They chose to trust the word of a strange white man living in the inner city rather than the words of a distraught victim trying to get away, because that boy was a person of color.

Good interview. Dahmer's face on the right side around his eye, side of his nose and his mouth looked like someone beat him up. His crimes were heinous but at least he did not try to put blame on anyone else for what he did. Those cops who let him take the crying 14 year old back to the apartment should have been charged with child endangerment. They were responsible for the kid being killed by not taking him in to protective custody. But, what the hell? The cops didn't care what happened to gays.

Jessica Rabbit: It's been a long time since the news stories were on TV, but as I recall Dahmer told the cops that he and the kid were in a gay relationship, calling the kid "his boyfriend" and that they were having a lover's quarrel so the cops just dropped it and left the kid with Dahmer. The cops apparently believed Dahmer instead of looking a little further into the situation. At that time though, police all over the country did not give as much protection to gays as heteros. I should have made my statement more clear/ Thank you for the clarification. :-)

When he said "I had no intention of hurting them", he meant that he didn't really want to kill them. He wanted someone that would keep him company and fulfill his desires. And of course, since everyone would refuse, then he would kill them. But he didn't enjoy the killing, the hurting. That's why he mostly gave sleeping pills to his victims first and that's why he tried to make a zombie, so that he wouldn't have to kill. That's what he meant.

Blackwood that's a very well thought out, intelligent explanation. I've been reading hundreds of comments on THIS specific video [from 6:53 am till now - 9:12 am] and yours is the 1st that addresses when he said "I didn't mean to...". I can tell by your conclusion that you stepped back away from the drama, emotional rants about liking him or not, he's evil or not, lying or not and looked at a part of his interview that baffled many. I mean, I DID mutter to myself when I heard him say that...I was saying- uh yeah right! you didn't "mean" to kill how many? didn't mean to beat them to death? didn't mean to inject liquids into their brains?! yeah right!
But you actually made me look at it from a different view.... not from a victims view nor mine own.
I rather enjoy that you've added another facet to this gem to consider. (though I do feel pretty shallow for not seeing this myself)

you’re making it sound as if he was forced to kill solely because his desires weren’t fulfilled? (said desires include fantasies of rape) no, he liked the control and dominance over someone else’s life, he viewed people as objects and wanted to take their lives, don’t try and defend a rapist and murderer.
