The reason for this video is ASUS Zenbook has an over heating problem.
Thanks so much for your video! I was going crazy with the sound of the fans and this was exactly the solution! 🤩
Thanks for letting me know that my video is useful for you.
dont get it he told to get to performance mode which will increase sound what did you do to get rid of fan noise
@berkcan3475 my guess is he might have watched this video to discover he can set it to whisper mode using MyAsus app.
Quality video, thanks for putting it together for everybody
It's feedback like these that makes me keep making videos for all of you. Thanks a lot for making the effort to comment
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your generosity.
Thanks for the wonderful explanation.
I'm glad it's not too confusing. Thanks for your feedback
Last week my one month old Asus ZenBook 14X i9 started to do three times long beeps. Found that he is overheating. Set that fan mode and problem solved. Shame on Asus developers on this bug :)
Nice to know it worked for you. Thanks for your comment.
Thank you, it works perfectly.
Thank you for letting me know it works for you.
My new S16 overheated after initial charge and now won't turn on. Hoping overnight it will cool off and turn on in the morning.
same with s15
shouldnt the laptop automatically go into performance mode when plugged in??
The setting was in whisper mode, that means the user wants it to be quiet, so it doesn't automatically go into performance mode. It's ok to operate in whisper mode as modern CPU can throttle it's speed so it doesn't over heat too much.
I'm thinking about purchasing the ux482 model, do you think it's still a good option?
Was this notebook model discontinued because of overheating problems?
Is the new version with adopted for better cooling really better?
Sorry but the fan is super noisy, and im barely doing any demanding tasks on my laptop. In fact all im doing is playing your video, and its so noisy in performance mode. My laptop is 1 day old, brand new. Sorry your analysis needs to be redone, this is not correct. If the fan has to be this noisy and pushed to keep the device cooler, for a brand new high spec laptop, I think the problem is MUCH BIGGER HERE! My 2nd laptop is an older Zenbook(4 yrs old) and it DOES not have any of these issues. The newer Zenbooks are clearly an issue
dude sorry but video is like a joke, for 3 minutes in whisper mod cpu temperature were as same as when you put it into performance mode, if its not oerformance mode cpu gpu frequency must be limited too so tasks will end later but you gain battery it cant only be effecting fan speed thats hilarious for a company like asus
Yes I know, the software should make it more obvious. it's on whisper mode.
The heatsink on these are absolute garbage.
I was getting 98º+ just running my IDE and Chrome.
I opened mine to find dry thermal paste on both processors and paste clumsily dumped on the RAM and some transistors.
I replaced the RAM and transistors with thermal pads and the processors with liquid metal.
Not what you want from a $2K+ workstation
17% CPU load watching youtube, 7000 rpm in performance mode and 96° C. 😓 UX3402Z. Could it actually be something physically wrong with the CPU on mine?
Firstly, check if there are any background processes running and if this is happening even after all Windows and background processes are removed then there are two things I suspect: resolution 2880 x 1800 and thin chassis. Are you watching TH-cam full screen? Try to match your TH-cam video resolution and your display resolution. Scaling TH-cam video from 1080p 1920x1080 to this laptop full screen 2880x1880, the CPU has to work extra hard to scale up, and this is without dedicated graphic chip to assist the CPU. It will be even worse if you have slow internet connection and TH-cam playing at 360p or 480p. And if youtube video is playing at 4k, even though this is easier for the CPU, the CPU still has to scale down. Just to diagnose the issue, try set the display resolution to 1080p temporarily and set youtube video to same 1080p. If this is the issue, I am not sure what is the permanent solution. Maybe get a laptop stand with fan blowing at the base so you can run 2880x1800. Let me know how you go, and if I miss your reply, nudge me at 1skyperspective@gmail.com
My S13 is actually getting hotter in performance mode, have to keep it on balanced.
Thanks for sharing with everyone.
Likely because the performance mode is feeding CPU more power, and a single fan can't keep up with that heat.
I have the UX582LR and just watching this video my CPU was 92 - I don't have a whisper mode and I'm on performance mode :(
Is this Asus Zenbook Pro 14 Duo OLED?
I got the same issue, but i get 60 degrees at college, Idk why, its so stupid i need it fixed
my zenbook is at constant 90%+ ram usage and while watching video and having myasus open it reaches 80+ degrees C.
Go to Task Manager and find out which process is consuming the most of your CPU.
@@SkyPerspective ive tried most of the basic things, nothing helps. Cpu usage isnt high, temps are tho. Ram usage adds up tops to like 3-4gb, all other 70% is hidden.
Same problem, but mine doesn't have this option in Asus menu :(
f* I hate non apple companies for that it looks different for any instance they make or update 😢
Always on "Performance" but I still get 70-90°C on my CPU
That's very hot. Is the fan running?
@SkyPerspective yes, but i often have lags, specially when I'm using video editing software (from capcut to After effects) i think every task related with GPU Is complicated
That explains it then. Video Editing is still best to be done on desktop.
@@SkyPerspective yes but It wasnt like this before
Hello
I have the ASUS Zenbook Flip UX360C model and am wondering if I can run MyASUS on it. Thanks.
Not 100% sure. My guess is yes MyAsus app should work on most Asus laptops.
Give about asus vivobook s14 flip
My laptop zenbook flip 13, i only open browser and word, CPU temperature 73 degree celcius? is that normal? what should I do ?
same here unfortunately
My Zenbook pro at 95c with performance mode checked only goes to 4780 RPM fan speed. This is too high. Not sure if its designed this way or i need to do something about it.
Do you mean 95 percent CPU usage?
@@SkyPerspective no 100% cpu usage. 95c is the cpu heat.
Oh wow. Yes, if the top speed of the fan is capable of more than 5000rpm, for e.g. 8000rpm like mine, then yes, it's definitely an issue. At 95 degrees, the fan should be at top speed.
Asus zenbook 14 heating high. As fk
Is it a joke?
