Which explains why it seemed like you had to go through ANOTHER horrible roommate situation after just experiencing one, mercury retrograde makes us go back in time and relive what we just experienced. I just wanna say that every time I hear the crazy roommate story & peeing in the mouthwash, my blood BOILS. I don’t care how much you dislike someone, that’s just sick. To be willing to do that to someone over something petty, or just because you decided you don’t like them? Horrifying to even think about..
My freshman roommate was also match to me. The first WEEK we were together we went to Walmart to pick up a few things. When we got back to the dorms she started to pull things out of her purse. I was like wtf??? She said she does this all the time and it's a cool thing to do back in her home town. Theft ??? That is never "cool" anywhere, it's a crime. Moving forward my friends and I knew she was stealing things whenever we went to the stores. Mind you she had a job and had her own money, this was definitely a case of a kleptomania. She only stole for the thrill of it. I never thought that she would ever steal from me. Boy was I wrong, I notice a pair of my favorite jeans were missing, I checked at home and my boyfriends house. I KNEW that I never took them out of the dorm. One weekend when she was at work, I went into her closet to look around. I came across the storage bin with heavy duty latches that was hidden under a pile of clothes. When I pulled it out to take a look, a my stomach dropped. This bin was completely full of my clothes, from jeans, hoodies, shirts, and as I went towards the bottom of the bin I found a whole ton of my USED underwear and my bras. I was so creeped out that I ran to my RA and she was not in her room so I went downstairs to find another RA to report this. Literally NO one wss there to help me, so I left the bin of my clothes in the doorway and I started to move my stuff out of the bedroom and into another friend's room. The resident director wanted to have an immediatation. At this meeting, the girl lied numerous times about me stealing her clothes. I got in trouble for "illegally" changing rooms without filing a form. I told them I DID NOT feel safe in this room with her. MIND YOU this all happened the first month of freshman year. I was so over it and I wanted to have a restraining order out against her but the RD really didn't want me to go through with it. Looking back I totally should, I should have outed for all the times she's stolen from stores. She never got to learn her lesson. Needless to say I transferred after my freshman year.

Wow, your roommate was a psycho. I’m so sorry you went through that. Would the police report still be available and you allow to access it? So you can really dig down into everything that happened since that was pretty traumatic and it could be harder to remember things like that because your brains just like “wait I can’t even process this right now.”

I love the little rant you guys had on how women can treat other women! I’ve been working in the gym/fitness industry for a few years now. I mainly have done front desk and customer service. I’ve always believed in complimenting other women on whatever I think is appropriate just to be uplifting. But there are some women who really act so rude and disrespectful for no reason and slowly realized the same individuals will be overly nice and act differently to men. I truly don’t understand. Especially in the fitness industry where there can be so many douche bag men I’ve always believed helping women out to feel motivated and safe. Gosh I just left a roommate horror story recently and the one about Kendall’s gross roommate is eerily similar to what I went through. Especially the filthy habits and leaving rotting food. I truly don’t understand how anyone can live like that. It’s not only a biohazard, but it’s also is incredibly bad for your overall mental health.

It's so nice to not feel as alone with my college horror story lol. My roommate was my best friend and would let frat guys in our dorm, I'd wake up like 3am with creepy guys standing over me. They'd trash the room, she'd steal my clothes, lock me out of the room, and even had her friends try to jump me in the bathroom one day. I would commute 3 hours to school and another 3 back so I didn't have to sleep at the dorms until the semester ended
Oh god this gives me PSTD from my nightmare roommate. I have only ever had one roommate in my life (never again!) and I remember the first sign that things were probably not going to go well when I complimented some of the pieces of furniture she had in the living room and she bragged to me how she stole them from a Home Sense and how easy she said it was because she said that when you’re pushing the item out the store, “No one thinks anyone would be brazen enough to just walk out with a whole piece of furniture so nobody stops you.” From that point on, not only did she go into my room and steal everything from stashed money to makeup to clothes and REMOVE THEM FROM THE APARTMENT and then deny knowing where it was when I asked her, but one time she drove me somewhere and I saw some of my stolen goods in her car and she flat out claimed that they were hers and obviously I had no way of proving anything. As some background, I had moved in with her so she already had the apartment totally furnished and there was only room for my bedroom stuff and she said that I was welcome to the tv in the living room and all of that. About a month in, she decided to move her and cable tv into her bedroom for absolutely no reason especially since she typically didn’t come home until midnight every night and went straight to bed. Then she decided to foster dogs. Dogs that shed keep in crates in her bedroom for a minimum of 12 hours a day and I would often break into her room to take them outside but at the same time I was worried about her finding out that I was going in her room. I should have reported her to the company she was fostering dogs from but she was a very good liar and came off as an amazing person when you would meet her (hence why I moved in with her) so I think I was afraid. Anyway, when she would let the dogs out she would often let them pee and poo all over the fully carpeted apartment and I’d often come home and find the messes all over, uncleaned. I had bought a new area rug for the living room and on a rare occasion when we were hanging out together the dog shat on my new rug and as she chatted to me she CLEANED UP THE POO WITH THE DISH CLOTH THAT I HAD REGULARLY USED TO WASH MY DISHES!!! Which made me wonder how often she did that. Additional info is she literally only ate apples at home (apple seed everywhere) so she rarely washed any dishes. Anyway, it’s been 10 years since I lived with her and I know there was so much more but I’ve kind of blocked it all out of my memory. From the day I left I blocked her on everything and have never spoken to her again

I really value this podcast so much. I am dealing with depression (like so many of us) but I am isolated and going through a period of change where my social circle is unstable. This podcast every week feels like its one of the few things I manage to "do for me". I love that I really feel like you four are my friends and I cant explain it other than to say when I watch the podcast my anxiety disappears for episode! Its important to have a break from our anxious thoughts to regroup, after your episode I have the motivation to use my Sunday to prepare for the week ahead rather than lay in bed depressed.

I have some major trauma from my freshman year roommates too. Just some of the worst things they did: accused me of stealing multiple things of theirs and threatened to hurt/steal from/end me if I didn’t give them money, stole my car and did thousands of $ in damage and continue to lie about it to this day, reported me for SA with a false story, and kept some of my things when I tried to move out. Oh and I drove them all to get groceries for a “Friendsgiving” with all our friends and they told me I wasn’t invited on the drive back.
My academic & work life has been the only consistent and positive factor in my life rn, despiste working on my masters being time consuming and stressful sometimes. My personal life is in complete SHAMBLES. Car broke down twice in one week despite being taken to the shop and “fixed” and just being forced into change is the perfect description of my life right now. I’ve never had a portion of my life be this stressful. I hope everyone else is going well or getting better.
The fact that mercury is in retrograde makes sense. I recently broke out in a painful itchy rash all over my body. I've been in agony for a week and the doctors so far have no answers. I've never suffered so badly in my life. If anyone in the comments is listening please whatever religion or belief system you have, send something out there into the universe for me to get better. Theft ??? That is never "cool" anywhere, it's a crime. Moving forward my friends and I knew she was stealing things whenever we went to the stores. Mind you she had a job and had her own money, this was definitely a case of a kleptomania. She only stole for the thrill of it. I never thought that she would ever steal from me. Boy was I wrong, I notice a pair of my favorite jeans were missing, I checked at home and my boyfriends house. I KNEW that I never took them out of the dorm. One weekend when she was at work, I went into her closet to look around. I came across the storage bin with heavy duty latches that was hidden under a pile of clothes. When I pulled it out to take a look, a my stomach dropped. This bin was completely full of my clothes, from jeans, hoodies, shirts, and as I went towards the bottom of the bin I found a whole ton of my USED underwear and my bras. I was so creeped out that I ran to my RA and she was not in her room so I went downstairs to find another RA to report this. Literally NO one wss there to help me, so I left the bin of my clothes in the doorway and I started to move my stuff out of the bedroom and into another friend's room.
The resident director wanted to have an immediatation. At this meeting, the girl lied numerous times about me stealing her clothes. I got in trouble for "illegally" changing rooms without filing a form. I told them I DID NOT feel safe in this room with her. MIND YOU this all happened the first month of freshman year. I was so over it and I wanted to have a restraining order out against her but the RD really didn't want me to go through with it. Looking back I totally should, I should have outed for all the times she's stolen from stores. She never got to learn her lesson.
Needless to say I transferred after my freshman year.
I choose to believe all the dislikes are from Kendall's old roommate and her "friends" who were gonna take care of her

I used to think it would have been so much fun and I was missing out when I decided to live with family during college instead of living on campus… buuuuut some college roommate stories are seriously horrifying.

Wow, your roommate was a psycho. I’m so sorry you went through that. Would the police report still be available and you allow to access it? So you can really dig down into everything that happened since that was pretty traumatic and it could be harder to remember things like that because your brains just like “wait I can’t even process this right now.”

I had a roommate write me a paragraph on a small kitchen chalk board about me not using any appliances such as the stove ( took the knobs off and shut the gas off ) washer/dryer and bathroom [put a diary sized lock on the door] because I wouldn't pay a extra 200 dollars for a cleaning fee. At this point I was only ever in my room , worked at a restaurant so I never cooked to make any mess 🙃 I've learned living alone with pets is my vibe

I love the little rant you guys had on how women can treat other women! I’ve been working in the gym/fitness industry for a few years now. I mainly have done front desk and customer service. I’ve always believed in complimenting other women on whatever I think is appropriate just to be uplifting. But there are some women who really act so rude and disrespectful for no reason and slowly realized the same individuals will be overly nice and act differently to men. I truly don’t understand. Especially in the fitness industry where there can be so many douche bag men I’ve always believed helping women out to feel motivated and safe. It’s really sad how some women take other women as threats and can’t see there are some looking out for others. We have a special place on this earth we should be only uplifting each other.

Gosh I just left a roommate horror story recently and the one about Kendall’s gross roommate is eerily similar to what I went through. Especially the filthy habits and leaving rotting food. I truly don’t understand how anyone can live like that. It’s not only a biohazard, but it’s also is incredibly bad for your overall mental health.

Those were the best stories. I have not laughed so hard in a very long time. Obviously some parts were very scary but some parts were freaking hilarious too. Kendall is a freaking super hero for dealing with the roommate from hell by herself at the age of 18!!!! Jesus!

It's so nice to not feel as alone with my college horror story lol. My roommate was my best friend and would let frat guys in our dorm, I'd wake up like 3am with creepy guys standing over me. They'd trash the room, she'd steal my clothes, lock me out of the room, and even had her friends try to jump me in the bathroom one day. I would commute 3 hours to school and another 3 back so I didn't have to sleep at the dorms until the semester ended
Oh god this gives me PSTD from my nightmare roommate. I have only ever had one roommate in my life (never again!) and I remember the first sign that things were probably not going to go well when I complimented some of the pieces of furniture she had in the living room and she bragged to me how she stole them from a Home Sense and how easy she said it was because she said that when you’re pushing the item out the store, “No one thinks anyone would be brazen enough to just walk out with a whole piece of furniture so nobody stops you.” From that point on, not only did she go into my room and steal everything from stashed money to makeup to clothes and REMOVE THEM FROM THE APARTMENT and then deny knowing where it was when I asked her, but one time she drove me somewhere and I saw some of my stolen goods in her car and she flat out claimed that they were hers and obviously I had no way of proving anything. As some background, I had moved in with her so she already had the apartment totally furnished and there was only room for my bedroom stuff and she said that I was welcome to the tv in the living room and all of that. About a month in, she decided to move her and cable tv into her bedroom for absolutely no reason especially since she typically didn’t come home until midnight every night and went straight to bed. Then she decided to foster dogs. Dogs that shed keep in crates in her bedroom for a minimum of 12 hours a day and I would often break into her room to take them outside but at the same time I was worried about her finding out that I was going in her room. I should have reported her to the company she was fostering dogs from but she was a very good liar and came off as an amazing person when you would meet her (hence why I moved in with her) so I think I was afraid.
Anyway, when she would let the dogs out she would often let them pee and poo all over the fully carpeted apartment and I’d often come home and find the messes all over, uncleaned. I had bought a new area rug for the living room and on a rare occasion when we were hanging out together the dog shat on my new rug and as she chatted to me she CLEANED UP THE POO WITH THE DISH CLOTH THAT I HAD REGULARLY USED TO WASH MY DISHES!!! Which made me wonder how often she did that. Additional info is she literally only ate apples at home (apple seed everywhere) so she rarely washed any dishes. Anyway, it’s been 10 years since I lived with her and I know there was so much more but I’ve kind of blocked it all out of my memory. From the day I left I blocked her on everything and have never spoken to her again

I really value this podcast so much. I am dealing with depression (like so many of us) but I am isolated and going through a period of change where my social circle is unstable. This podcast every week feels like its one of the few things I manage to "do for me". I love that I really feel like you four are my friends and I cant explain it other than to say when I watch the podcast my anxiety disappears for episode! Its important to have a break from our anxious thoughts to regroup, after your episode I have the motivation to use my Sunday to prepare for the week ahead rather than lay in bed depressed.

I have some major trauma from my freshman year roommates too. Just some of the worst things they did: accused me of stealing multiple things of theirs and threatened to hurt/steal from/end me if I didn’t give them money, stole my car and did thousands of $ in damage and continue to lie about it to this day, reported me for SA with a false story, and kept some of my things when I tried to move out. Oh and I drove them all to get groceries for a “Friendsgiving” with all our friends and they told me I wasn’t invited on the drive back.
Also one of them would drink all my coffee creamer. Just straight hazelnut creamer. No coffee.

My academic & work life has been the only consistent and positive factor in my life rn, despiste working on my masters being time consuming and stressful sometimes. My personal life is in complete SHAMBLES. Car broke down twice in one week despite being taken to the shop and “fixed” and just being forced into change is the perfect description of my life right now. I’ve never had a portion of my life be this stressful. I hope everyone else is going well or getting better.

The fact that mercury is in retrograde makes sense. I recently broke out in a painful itchy rash all over my body. I've been in agony for a week and the doctors so far have no answers. I've never suffered so badly in my life. If anyone in the comments is listening please whatever religion or belief system you have, send something out there into the universe for me to get better. I love true crime and started listening to Lights Out about 4 months ago and loved it! Then, a Mile Higher episode started playing and I was like, “wait a minute…!
