21 wins, 33 yrs old and barely gets a mention compared to others. Great that he was sorted early this year, last time he was on a Fireblade he did well. Can't wait to be sat in a hedge watching

Because he's a dunlop and doesn't suffer fools and put up with bullshit just says it with his riding one of the best riders to watch on the edge and pinned every race long may he continue.

For this man to sit out two years and not have a big manufacturer behind him plus not riding in any other championships apart from road racing, it’s a testament to his raw talent that he’s even able to be up there with the top lot every year. Legend!

I had the privilege and pleasure to meet Michael in person during his stay in South Africa for the SA classic TT races. He's a fantastic racer and a real gentleman and deserves a lot of respect.

MD…..the Road Racers , Road Racer…..old school, no bullshit, no fancy RVs , friends and mates as mechanics, , still wins Two races in 2022, and is the only rider all week, to break a lap record, , Let this fact settle in for a few minutes……at the age Michael is now, John McGuiness had won only 2 TT races, Michael is now on 21wins….says it all 👍🇮🇲❤️

Talent will out and Michael Dunlop has it by the bucket load. He does it his way and it shows that having loads of money behind you does not guarantee success at the TT, however determination, desire and bloody mindedness plus abundant talent and a good team can reap results. I really hope he can stand on the top step again this year. It's always good to see the underdog come out on top. 👍👍🙂🙂
I’ve said this many times, as a fan of all the TT racer’s. I’ve met Michael several times and he has always had time for the fans. Makes an effort to chat wen he can. You can see his main priorities are Racing and trying to win! I really think he’s going to beat Joey’s record and that alone deserves respect!

The Dunlop genes are special, Michael's dad and uncle were of a class of rider not seen widely today. Michael carries the line with wit, grace and brutal self examination, it's a pleasure to see him again at speed, out front where he should be. As a child watching your Father and Uncle racing past our house on the Coleraine Road holding my ears because of the noise, I swore to myself I was going to get my bike license and be like your father 😅 well Because of him I ride today, but slower 😂 Michel you are a national treasure and we love you!!! I was there for the first one….sat and talked to him in one of our local pubs that night, he was still a very shy 19 yr old , and wasn’t up for partying with the team, who were across the room living it up, Michael was just wanting a quiet pint away from the limelight, we just happened to be there, I’ve seen every win since, and all things good…..he will be the greatest ever , maybe not this year, but in 24 or 25 he will take his uncles crown as king of the Roads 👍🇮🇲

Michael listed those he thought that didn't like him but he didn't include his fans because he knows we love him. He's a Dunlop it says it all. Seen him mobbed in town and he never refuses a selfie or autograph even when he is heading for a pint. Great lad

Mr. Dunlop is my favorite! Please keep racing! For yourself for us for whatever. I’m rooting for you. Side note, I thought I read somewhere that he was going to ride a Ducati Pani V4 in the 2020 TT that never happened, is that true? I’d like to see him run that V4 on the TT
He was suppose to race on the Paul Bird Ducati but I believe(I think I read or watched somewhere) he wasn't confident with the set up/ it being an unknown bike at the TT so he switched back to the tried and true Hawk Racing GSXR which he had won on already. I think he did a similar thing with an R1 in 2014 or 15 switching back to his BMW.

Michael is a self confessed old fashioned pure 'road racer' he also admits being a difficult person to work with, bit like Joey, but Joey maintained his Honda contract and backing throughout, Michael is more like another TT genius Steve Hislop, who was difficult and cranky, didn't trust anyone to be his manager, frustrated teams and manufacturers, but just got on the bike and did his thing.
Such a good solid man and a legend already. Never mind in the next decade or so. He will surpass his uncle before he retires. He does all of this without racing BSB or Moto as well. Mad respect for this man. 🙌🏾😊😉
