Couple cool things not mentioned; if you open the small storage compartment in front of the gear shift and pull the rubber lining out, there is a spot to put your key fob which will allow you to start the truck if the key fob is dead. Also it is equipped with the electric locker in the rear diff so pull the 4x4 selector out to engage the rear locker.
Congrats to your Dad and the family, I know he deserves it. I too would love to buy my Dad and Mom a vehicle some year, or even better a new house. Even though I am more of a Chevy guy, I can appreciate a good truck and the F-150 in the King Ranch is my favorite trim package that they offer with the brown leather, stitching, the logo, nice wood trim etc... a Cowboy/Rancher theme even though I am not one myself. I for one though would put a spray in bedliner to protect that nice bed when it uses it as a truck is meant to be used. Congrats once again and God Bless!

Could you please demo the AEB, ACC, and lane keeping? No one has demo’ed the 2018’s fully automated emergency brake or the lane keeping. Ford’s lane keeping is just okay and I’d like to know if it improved

I have a 2015 F150 King Ranch, same color as this one. I'm really interested in the '18 because of the 10-speed trans. Do you find the truck shifts too much with 10 gears? Does it feel like it is hunting for a gear when you press the gas to overtake someone? Thanks for sharing!
Also, if your stepdad is looking for more power for towing or just crazy acceleration, take a look at SSi Tuning. 150+ HP & Ft/Lbs Tq just with software tune. It's a mid-12 second truck with a tune. Its crazy quick.
Manual mirrors on a King Ranch!!! Love my 450 Lariat with all the options, just not a fan of the brown leather, I prefer the dark grey mine has. Full four doors the only way to go. Now if only they would build that truck with an extended cab area behind the back seat with a short bed. Love what they've done with the dash gauges, I still like my 2016 air vents over the new design. Extra cameras are always a plus. Not a fan of the push button start but, given time I'm sure it's good. I still prefer the shifter on the column. Old dog, Hard to retrain. Nice triple camera views.
My dad would be mad if I bought him anything other than the base model F150. In this way we're alike, 'King Ranch', 'Platinum', 'Limited' are all laughable at first, but ultimately depressing. Ford does know it's market though, I'll give them that.
Or if you want more linear and even performance, unmatchably better sound, traditional V8-in-a-truckness, and, most importantly, none of the litany of issues the EcoBoosts have.
Man I'm sorry but the wavyness of the door panel, around the door handles and door edges just drive me up the wall everytime I see the new Aluminium F150s, for the amount of money these vehicles cost I atleast expect it to not look like it was crashed and repaired by a below average body shop. Am i the only person who notices this!?

Jake Knafelc dude I don't event think the first raptors have v8s any more , ford is using the v6 eco boost to replace alot of there previous V8 models . V8 come on more basic trims . Eco boost is considered better.

Forgot to use the Bed Step Handle, the Yellow Top, press it and it pops out to use as support while stepping up and getting out.
Regular cruise control that's gotta suck because the stop and go feature is really nice.
