You need to do their original, Love Again. It is a similar vibe, but harder and OMG Avi and Kevin kill it!!! It is Rave worthy!!! I have seen them do Daft Punk live in concert. They are so damn good! Great reaction as always! Mitch is like a chameleon. You will see him look very different at times and almost unrecognizable at times.
This came out in 2013, long before AI. They also won their first Grammy for the arrangement with "Daft Punk Medley". As others will tell you, the only member change has been Avi Kaplan, bass, with the beard. Avi left in 2017 after 6 years with PTX, for various reasons, and was replaced by Matt Sallee. Avi has since established a solo career, performing about 90% original music, and will be releasing his new EP later this week. He has quite a catalog so far, and there's not a so-so song to be found.
Didn't Avi also do a lot of the beatbox sound effects with kevin? I'm legally blind so when I watch a video I can't really tell whose mouth is moving but I always thought that Avi sang Bass and did some of the beatbox sounds
Avi had a career before PTX and just picked it back up after being unable to handle the massive tour/production rates of PTX while dealing with family health issues. And to realize the 5 members of the group are that good with each other just beyond words to describe.
@@secretarts I’m not sure what career before PTX you’re referring to. He’d been attending college and had been offered a position with the Los Angeles Opera, but instead chose to accept the job with PTX.
@@charlottevan_8 Before joining Pentatonix, Kaplan was already an accomplished a cappella artist, performing in the styles of jazz and opera among others. During his time in college, he joined the all-male a cappella group Fermata Nowhere.[9] In 2009, the group became the first community college act to win the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella (ICCAs).[10] During the finals, he won the award for "Best Rhythm Section", making him the first vocal bass to receive the award. Before his victory, the award was called "Best Vocal Percussionist". In his junior year of college, he joined the vocal jazz ensemble Singcopation.[11] In his first year as a member, the ensemble won the Monterrey Jazz Festival Competition
@@secretarts Yes, I knew all of that, but it was all part of his college education in preparation for a career after graduation. He had planned on possibly becoming a choral director at some point, but the opportunity with PTX by way of Ben Bram’s recommendation to Scott came along to present that new career path.
Another EDM style one by them is their original Love Again…..also very trippy makeup! And Mitch and Kirstie change their looks a lot, but it’s always them
There are 7 Daft Punk songs in this mashup: Technologic, One More Time, Get Lucky, Digital Love, Harder-Better-Faster-Stronger, Television Rules the Nation, Around the World. The Grammy PTX won for this was for the arrangement, but the Recording Academy didn't have a category for a cappella arrangement before they gave this one out. They changed the name of the category from "Best Arrangement, Instrumental" to "Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella". PTX does have a 90s Dance Medley which has 17 club songs from the 90s. It's not an hour long, but everyone ends up chair-dancing through that one!
only one member has ever left. That was Avi. Touring was really hard on him, esp while his mom was sick. Everyone was heartbroken when he left, but it was all on good terms. The group understood. They looked for a new bass for a while before they found Matt. And that's it. They've done collabs but it's always been a core of 5 and only the bass has changed. Confusion is totes understandable though. But I've seen them live, man. They're 💯 real. ❤
They won their first Grammy with this. And it only costs $400. to make, it was made in their kitchen and a college friend put it together. Saw a video of them singing it in the kitchen.
This is from 2013. Mitch was just 21 years old, wearing glasses, and going through one of his slightly plump phases. Probably one or more of those things explain your perception that he looks like he was on _Wonder Years._
I love how you say they aren't human. So many other reactors say they're aliens. I always think...what if one day they found out that the Clark Kent of singing is actually their dad or dads? Lol.
That was fun! Yup...Mitch is a master of disguise. He looks different with almost every video because you're jumping around timewise...and because he's changed his looks...A LOT!!! Best video that's similar to this is Love Again, an original masterpiece in techno/EDM vibe. Your brother might like it too!
O Holy Night should definitely be your next reaction. I also recommend: 'Say Something', '90s Dance Medley', 'The Sound of Silence', 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'
They have a live version of this like a private show or something it's on someone's cell phone I think and they sound pretty much exactly the same You gotta watch that
Please create a Pentatonix playlist. It helps us to keep track. Thanks. It’s funny you think that they are AI. Everyone knows that they are aliens. But, yeah, they really do look like this. Recommend their cover of The Prayer.
Also they made tjis themselves at one of their apartmen. Filmed in a bsthroom and they cut it in their pantry. If im not mistakem, thry said it cost them sometging like $300 total. They are Amazing even more so live, which ive seen them 2Xs and hope to see yhem again this year ! Keep hav8ng fun . .
Love your reaction. Can't wait to see you react to more Pentatonix. Love them. Please react to Pentatonix first performance on "The Singoff." Where they first got together. You'll hear a lot of Kevin and Avi going off. They are amazing, and you wouldn't believe they met (Kevin and Avi) a couple of days before the show..
There concerts are CRAZY!!!!, What you hear here is what you here there. Try their PopSpring 2016 where they do 4 originals live, it's crazy. Jams, "Sing" (also original") "EDM original "Love Again" Only 1 change in group history, the bearded bass left in 2017 , Matt Sallee is the current bass. Mitch is a Chameleon; Kirstie can be that way as well. Love these guys but I'm with you...Aliens.
Subscribed, bro. You’re hilarious! As to the AI thing, that’s not the right theory. PTX are just aliens from the planet Xenon- and as we all know, those wacky Xenonians are notorious for pranking us with their musical perfection buffoonery. Anyway, more PTX, please! 🤘🏾
Can you react to pentatonix. Sing the sound of silence. La la latch. Gold new rules. The feeling can't hold us they rap in it. The prayer. Can you feel the love tonight
Oh Dude! I forgot. I saw you did a reaction to Dolly's Jolene. PTX did a version of Jolene WITH DOLLY. It's only awesome. Welcome to to roller-coaster.
Would be a bit better if you went with the original group's photo that includes the actual bass singer on this Avi Kaplan who got the Grammy with them. Just a thought.

They won their first (of three so far) Grammy for this!
You're right - Mitch looks different in every video, but that voice control never ends. You're gonna love seeing them in live, impromptu settings!
Another EDM style one by them is their original Love Again…..also very trippy makeup! And Mitch and Kirstie change their looks a lot, but it’s always them
Something great about this song is that it shows how well Avi and Kevin can work together to set a wicked beat while the rest are carrying the melody.
You gotta see them do " can't hold us"! 😊
This was their first Grammy. You should react to a recent live version from the concert at the Hollywood Bowl 2022 livestream. It’s very cool.
Their "Popspring" video is a live performance featuring several originals and a Michael Jackson medley.
Watching them doing this live at the Hollywood Bowl in 2022 is such a treat.
During one of there concerts Daft Punk joined them on stage to sing with them.
LOVE AGAIN is more of a techno vibe.
There are 7 Daft Punk songs in this mashup: Technologic, One More Time, Get Lucky, Digital Love, Harder-Better-Faster-Stronger, Television Rules the Nation, Around the World.

Was at a PTX concert this past summer. They performed this and it sounded exactly the same. Blew my mind. The whole concert as crazy good.
90s dance medley. Hip-hop? Check City Can't Hold Us.
They won their first Grammy with this. And it only costs $400. to make, it was made in their kitchen and a college friend put it together. Saw a video of them singing it in the kitchen.
Mitch and Kirstin change their look very often
This is from 2013. Mitch was just 21 years old, wearing glasses, and going through one of his slightly plump phases. Probably one or more of those things explain your perception that he looks like he was on _Wonder Years._

They won their first of 4 grammy's for this one! and I;ve seen them do it live... it's amazing!
What you need to watch is their live performances on the Sing Off. Their performance of Florence and the Machine’s The Dog Day Are Over is fire.
O Holy Night should definitely be your next reaction. I also recommend:
'Say Something',
'90s Dance Medley',
'The Sound of Silence',
'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'
Love your chair dancing. React to 90s medley for more dancing.
They have a live version of this like a private show or something it's on someone's cell phone I think and they sound pretty much exactly the same You gotta watch that

It’s funny you think that they are AI. Everyone knows that they are aliens. But, yeah, they really do look like this.
Recommend their cover of The Prayer.
This won them their 1st Emmy
This won them their first Grammy.
You should watch Superfruit (Mitch and Scott).
OHMYGOSH I love your reactions!!!
Thank you T

Recorded in a closet, and filmed in a kitchen.

There's only been one change from Avi to Matt. And I've seen them live, and they are even better!!!
I know you are kidding about the AI. It is mind blowing when they do this stuff live and you realize it is all them.
You need to listen to the live performance of Ahh. The only member they switched was the bass Avi for Matt in 2017
They have a live version of this too that is awesome
You can also get Avilanched!!!!
And "K Oed" by Kevin.
Please watch the private performance of this ❤
Keep smiling😊
This video had a 400 dollar budget which they filmed parts in a closet!! Very early in career!!!
Can you react to pentatonix. Sing the sound of silence. La la latch. Gold new rules. The feeling can't hold us they rap in it. The prayer. Can you feel the love tonight
NO AI !!! They have a live version video, too ! Their concerts sound exactly like this !!! Yes, they are that good ! Acapella, NO instruments !!!

Watch them in Singapore, a live concert. Aha concert.

Oh Dude! I forgot. I saw you did a reaction to Dolly's Jolene. PTX did a version of Jolene WITH DOLLY. It's only awesome. Welcome to to roller-coaster.
Only one change. Avi went solo in 2017. Matt is the only new member. Watch " Kevins Fifth" at the Hollywood Bowl
Save the World/Don't You Worry Child by pentatonix is also kindda edm ish.
Kevin is their Beat Boxer
Haha I’m dying at your comments!
Mitch has experimented with his look more than any of them, and that's saying something.
You’re funny
my favorite is evolution of Michael Jackson
Avi can do 2 things at once such as bass and the wind sounds lol
They're not AI. They're not robots. They are from another planet, tho. They just won't tell us which one.
⚡⚡🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥⚡⚡
This came out 10 years before AI.
😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱😱
Would be a bit better if you went with the original group's photo that includes the actual bass singer on this Avi Kaplan who got the Grammy with them. Just a thought.
