Just did this on a client last Saturday and yes after 24 hrs hair is to remain in a straight state( no clips pontytail holders sunglasses etc) then the client is to return for a shampoo and conditioner blow dry and flat iron. While shampooing my client's hair remained straight because the 24 hr waiting period allowed the Keratin to seal. Not supposed to go back to it's natural state after shampooing
I’ve been doing this treatment on myself for over 3 years. You were not supposed to wash out the treatment immediately after straightening, you’re supposed to wait 24-48 hours for the treatment to process into your hair.
Alaa B. Sure I’ll share :). When you wait 24-48 hours you’re allowing the pearl and keratin to bond to each strand of your hair, through the heat bonding process (flat iron). You wash it out with a paraben and sulfate free co-wash. Your hair will still be curly but a lot looser curl. To achieve the straight look you will need to blow dry and flat iron again. So in my experience when I just wrapped my hair and slept on a scarf at night it would stay straight and then with each wash become curlier. I’d have to straighten again after each wash. A warning about this product is I began straightening some portions of hair so much to make them lay better (because I’d forget to wrap it at night) and those pieces became permanently straight. Only straighten after a weekly wash if you want to keep your curl pattern! I have gone natural now (a boyfriends preference, he doesn’t like straight hair) and had to wait till my hair grew and cut off the pieces of straight hair because it doesn’t match my roots. Also if you are interested in finding the product I got the whole system for about $190 on eBay.

Kamika, you wrap your hair at night and put on a net and satin bonnet, next morning as soon as you get up check if you have any “wrinkles” and if you do, flat iron that section.

Kay Dee I had mine done last year at JCPenney's and they did not wash it out the same day. During that time they Advised me not to wash it, get it wet, use any bands, clips etc for 3 days. After the third day I had to go back to have it washed and styled. Good to know that they are updating the process so I won't be arguing with the stylist telling her she is doing it wrong. Lol. Also I didn't have any breakage or damage to my hair my curls were still the same after 6 Months. I'm getting done again soon.
Finding about this Enviro treatment made me super excited. I had been considering keratin or Japanese treatment but was put off by the chemicals. I found a salon near me that does this. I can't wait to try it!! The end result was beautiful!!
I definitely understand why you charge $250.00. I looked up the price for the products and it costs a lot. It’s definitely worth the $250.00. It’s like lightening hair and people want to know why it costs so much. Um Olaplex is not cheap at all. Some of the professional products we pay for as Cosmetologists just to keep the integrity of the hair costs an arm and a leg. Sometimes you have to add a lung with it and it is only exclusive to us.
My cousin has a hair license and it’s 14 dollars for olaplex at the really beauty supply stores,now the chi enviro is about 70 or so a bottle and that is expensive plus the time it takes and skill but hair stylist do get good deals on these products.

U said the old way u had to wait 24-48hrs.. then you said now you must wait 7 days to shampoo.. So, to be clear do you wash it.. immediately after the service or do you wait 24-48hrs or do you wait 7 days?

AMARIs Bella Honestly I would recommend to try it. I've been getting it for 3 years because I'd like the results. It's just not as good as it used to be. Initially didn't matter how much humidity was in the air or me sweating. It stayed straight. Now, it doesn't look as smooth. My hair breaks really easily and it sheds always. I've actually been able to grow it out with the Enviro - slowly but it has gone longer. I got a keratin for 2 years. It was horrible it dried my hair out and didn't remove most of the frizz. My stylist told me the more you get it the better it will work. Not true. I got the Enviro, by a new stylist who said the Keratin had too much protein for my hair because my hair was dry. Sorry such a long answer. I almost feel that I'm enviro expert because not many people use it and I've had success with It.

Gina Kolada i No, Its not crazy. That is the process that MUST be done.. For the treatment to work and activate. IT DOESN'T ACTIVATE.. THUS, ENTER THE HAIR SHAFT.. UNTIL THE HAIR BOND IS OPENED.. WITH THE HEAT.. The treatment is a buffer between the hair and the flat iron.. Therefore, It's not the same as just using the flat iron.. that many times on hair that don't have the treatment on it. You all are looking at these processes and speaking on it, when you are not Cosmetology educated to do so.. Nope, Nobody can prevent you from speaking.. But it is frustrating when unlicensed people.. are commenting on hair products & processes for certain services.. Other people read these comments and reviews and 95% of the mess in the comments are incorrect info from uneducated (in hair) people. It really make it hard for the Cosmetology field and stylist when you all do that.. Because sheep will follow and believe anything they see online. That's damaging & dangerous when it comes to certain professions, products etc.

Could you tell me what has been your experience using the chi enviro system on 4c hair? Did you find that it loosens the curl pattern alot? And also do hormonal changes in the body like menopause change the way the smoothing system reacts with different individuals?
I used the virgin/resitant chi enviro system on her and her curl in the front went almost straight she has a combination of a coily pattern and "Z" pattern and i notice shedfing when she comes in for her bi weekly appointments. She has only had one treatment so far its been 5 weeks. She has the at home shampoo and conditioner.. Overall she loves it but i dont like seeing the shedding any suggestions?
Carletta Collins : No, the last shampoo is the smoothing shampoo. You do not use step 1 clarifying ( purity) shampoo on the hair after the product is applied. If you make a mistake & reuse step 1 shampoo again, it will strip your hair of the product & the process will be unsuccessful. Only use the smoothing shampoo for all needed shampooing after the product has been applied & as long as product remains active on the hair ( up to 4 months).
Watch the video. Her curls snapped back. Last week I saw my stylist shampooing a lady who had this treatment on her hair. It was curly as she was shampooing.
M H it reduces the frizz and puffiness some get from sweating, working out or just plain humidity. Once the treatment is added to your hair you will be able to wash and flat iron and have volume and shiny hair.

That's not true. Hair is not supposed to stay straight after washing this out. It's not a relaxer. You gave her heat damage.

Carletta Collins : No, the last shampoo is the smoothing shampoo. You do not use step 1 clarifying ( purity) shampoo on the hair after the product is applied. If you make a mistake & reuse step 1 shampoo again, it will strip your hair of the product & the process will be unsuccessful. Only use the smoothing shampoo for all needed shampooing after the product has been applied & as long as product remains active on the hair ( up to 4 months).

M H it reduces the frizz and puffiness some get from sweating, working out or just plain humidity. Once the treatment is added to your hair you will be able to wash and flat iron and have volume and shiny hair.
