Here are some tips that can help you in your world conquest: Heavy armor is too heavy and too expensive to be used as outer armor, use it as turret armor and citadel armor. Use poles and wedges as outer armor, should help with heat and kinetic shells. Use shell ejectors if you use a shell with a payload, as they tend to expload. Also use rubber around laser systems so that they do not get fried with emp. Good luck hunting, hope these help!
Since the majority of your fire power is on the front it might be worth up gunning them and armouring the bow withe the intention of that being the main are to take hits from primary targets. The back turret would still be useful but could be joined by a mortar. It may otherwise be worth adding something like a curtain of chains five blocks of each side of the ship to detonate things safely.
The side skirt idea seems pretty good, I'll see if I can add them. Having a cram mortar/artillery on deck would be good too, but I'll have to wait to see how much space I have to work with after upgrades
You got really lucky with the disemboweler, the water was too shallow for it to dive, and it’s a submarine with a MASSIVE PAC that can easily cut a ship from the bottom up

Ayy, so glad I came across someone doing a FtD campaign! Especially since I picked up the game fairly recently. Are you planning on giving the One and only multi firing piece turrets? Also, not sure if you know this but given that your APS shoot so fast if you slap a ciws controller on them they'll be able to swat missiles and crams outta the air too. Don't forget munition warners. One last thing give HEAT shells a try, with that rate of fire the spalling will be nasty!
I will absolutely give the OneAndOnly multi barrel turrets, will be doing it in the next episode, should be finishing it tomorrow. Also I cannot believe I didnt even think about using HEAT. I'll see if I can give it a shot.
It's hard to say, just because of how much there is to advanced cannons. My designs aren't perfect, I sacrifice safety without ammo ejectors for a more compact cannon, and also build them on the small 1x1 turret base to save even more space. I would recommend seeing if there's a good tutorial video out there. They can explain things way better than I can in a comment. But, if you and others want, I can do a short episode "3.5" that goes more in depth with the technicals of the cannons
@@Austilane I would also suggest ammo staggering along with the ejector tip. They seem to chain react out of control as well, taking huge chunks out of your ship. (Ammo staggering means putting e.g. metal beams between the ammo boxes making a checkerboard pattern, so each of them only touch armor blocks. That way they don't ignite each other when destroyed.)
Bros talking about how poor his durability is when he won’t even put a second layer of blocks as armor, my dude, I put 3m armor on craft 1/5th the size of yours lol
I think it probably takes him a while to record and edit his videos based on the quality of his content, but I still agree with you. I just hope he keeps on making the series.

@@Austilane, I'm pretty sure the chain side skirt idea was something done in WW2 by the Royal Navy, not sure on the level of success though.
Consider doing AP warhead and frag bodies with a PEN depth fuse

Recently found your videos and I love the editing magic you do. I have yet to be able to master the advanced cannons like you have. Any tips?

change the req accuracy on the guns to 0.1 , and make the ammo AP Head HE Body with a penetration depth fuse

Cram speed APHE she’ll make me go 💀
Basically slower speed = less AP = worse against metal, make sure the shell has good AP (at least 25) and maybe put on pen depth fuse
