    That ITX/BSB buffer really is good stuff. It seems to actually coat the pellets and wads sort of like mica wad slick. Looks just like the #47 but has a shiny clear powder in it.

    I’m not a hunter, but I enjoy shotguns in general and I just wanted to say your channel is amazing for someone who just wants to understand buckshot loads even if they don’t reload. This is making me want to get into reloading though, so you might’ve created a new hobby for me. I’m just a tactical shotgun guy that loves training on his M590 and I take care to make sure I understand what each buckshot load will do at various ranges. So, your knowledge is not only useful and interesting, but a real joy to listen to.
    Anyways, thanks for what you do and I’m always looking forward to more videos. God bless you!!

    Thanks for putting these videos up. I used to reload with my dad a lot before he passed. Sitting here watching you do it and talking to the camera like I'm there with you really brings back those memories. Additionally, your loads are just really great too! I'll be trying this one out someday. Thank you for all you do.

    I know this is an older video, but I’ve been subscribed and watching your channel for about a month now.
    I’ve been metallic reloading for about 16 years now, but recently took an interest in shotshell reloading.
    Just wanted to tell you much I appreciate you sharing your knowledge, and that your demeanor and personality are admirable. Thank you for what you do, Wade!

    The BPI Buckshot manual has a recipe for that 10 pellet Fiocchi 2 3/4" with a MG42 wad calling for 32gn of Longshot. I've fired a few, and they top 1400fps. One of my favs.

    love the videos and appreciate the info since i have no experience with anything larger than #2. for previously fired hulls, i just use the conical starter meant for paper hulls. it does not care if the hull is 6 or 8 point and its the hull that falls into the right number of points. better living thru lazy efficiency!

    Mr. Wade I'm new to the shotshell loading here and I was wondering do you have any videos or maybe can do a video on the effects of a 6 point vs 8 point crimp on different loads in terms of ballistic statistics and accuracy?

      Hey Charles. I've never done a video on the 6 and 8 pt crimps. Not yet anyway. I have used game load hulls for buckshot, but I've not noticed any difference in performance. Thanks for the kind words brother.

    Mr Rush, I’m about to get into reloading 12g shot shells and I’ve picked up (the only powder at my LGS) which is Hodgon HS-6 and some Cheddite 209 primers. Should I go with a Lee Load All? Or buy something else? Also where can I find solid load data for different components and hulls? I have bags of assorted once fired hulls and my head is spinning trying to simplify this and find a simple 00 load that will work. Thank you sir. Sorry for the long message but I’m stuck with this.

    • @BubbaRountreeOutdoors
      @BubbaRountreeOutdoors  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No worries! The Lyman 5th edition shotgun manual is awesome! The Lyman manual has a whole section on loading with lead payload weights. Shot size doesn't matter as long as your weight is right. It really depends on what you're wanting to accomplish as to which loader would fit you best. I love MEC loaders. You can find used functional loaders on ebay at decent deals at times. But, there's nothing wrong with a Lee load all 2. They work great for the folks that I know that use em!

    Hey good brother Wade,
    I loaded up 32 gr blue dot and 34 gr blue dot in some testing in old school AA and CB1138-12 With 33 cal #00! Yep them wads been through the gauntlet! However something seemed odd. Tighter patterns out of my 870 with .665” turkey choke with 34 gr. I mean twice as tight as with 32 gr. ? I figured the speed would open them up

    Bubba, I'm going to get a jug of long shot, my question is, I bought hundreds of rounds of reloaded and factory shells from a older friend who reloaded for trap, I'm breaking down a lot of these for the components. I'm going to press out, very carefully, all the primers, is long shot primer picky, ignition, pressure etc. I have no idea what all these primers are, different brands. Thanks in advance.

I let a buddy hunt a farm that I caretake, house and 85 acres, owners live out of town, it's 5 minutes from my place. Last year he killed a 135 lb. 8 point and 5 minutes later while walking to that deer, he shot a 10 point 230 lb one, weighed at the processor.
