This is what I consider one of those "perfect thrash songs". Eerie intro, blistering guitar riffs, fast pounding drums, thick bass, sweet vocal melodies, catchy chorus, great mid-section breakdown and solo.
Honestly, the only real letdown are the solos. They don't do the rest of the song justice.

I don't know why I ever put off listening to these guys - probably one of the best thrash bands in the modern day.
+Zanderinfal Theyre not actually modern. Theyve been around since about '82, I believe.
+Ryan Turner they released their first album aroud the '87, but you could say that is a current band, as are active today; following the thrash as few bands still manage in the most original way possible

Death Angel are as old as the other thrash giants like Metallica, Slayer, Exodus, etc.. They've all been around since the 80s.
The best thrash band as far as I'm concerned.
Gotta give Death Angel tons of credit they have had a great and successful comeback over the years without changing their sound.

I just found out Death Angel had a new album out last year today... not only is this song kickass, but the entire album is great! It's a little faster and heavier than their previous stuff, and it's solid start to finish as well. Really epic album!

The Dream Calls For Blood is one of the most exciting metal albums I've heard in a long time! They're one of the few thrash bands that actually got faster and heavier with age. I see a massive increase of fans for this band in the next few years
