  • In this video I review my new to me Gossamer Gear Large Shoulder Strap Pocket. Some things I go over include measurements, how much you can stuff into it and how many different ways you can attach it to your pack. Have no doubt I go over the small details and often try to think outside of the box. See you out on trail.
Update: After backpacking a few days on trail I discovered that the hip belt pouches on the Mariposa are more than enough. Finally a pack that has what I need!

Cliff bars, did I hear someone has *EIGHT* EXTRA Cliff bars??? LOL Excellent review - initially I wasn't sure if I wanted to run the vertical strap thru the 2 rings on the Mariposa shoulder strap but after giving it a try it's certainly the best usage for the shoulder strap pocket. And ditto @Nancy Nelson comment - the Large works great from my iPhone 14 Max Pro so unless I someday get a Garmin InReach (not likely now that the iPhone 14 can do Globstar SOS), I'll probably use the outer pouch for glasses, etc... and store lotsa Cliff bars on the hip pouches - especially wise since they are concealed and I can hide my stash from any new "neighbors." 😉

BTW, just took a peek at your YT trailer and can see that you're on your way to be an awesome TH-camr! Definitely a Sub w/bell and looking forward engaging with you on your journey - Happy Trails, Michael and Grace

Do you find the Velcro on the pouch rubbing or snagging clothing?

Yes but you can cut/snip down the velcro straps to reduce this.
