Eminem “lose yourself” got me through residency and this song got me through COVID. As someone working only in the hospital, watching far too many people lose their life as I felt utterly useless at the hands of a virus meanwhile knowing society was beyond disturbing I’d play this song on repeat.
The sound of my father playing this song on the piano, from down the hall, while I do algebra homework, on an autumn evening in Connecticut, almost two decades ago-- these are sacred sounds to me. I love you, Dad.
@Rachel McMurray how old is this song? I didn’t think it was that old, but when you get old as me, time flies faster, a million times faster than when you’re young. And it’s SO HARD! I’d love to be young again, if just for a few days.
The idea that Superman 'can't stand to fly' is genius. This song will forever be relevant. It has an incredible way of humbling you as soon as you hear that piano introduction.
Every decade has a song like this that makes you look back fondly at that decade, and remember what was good "back then". You may not think so at the time, because you're living in the present, but this song (and those like it) attaches itself to and makes memories that are worth remembering.
I can’t help but think of Christopher Reeve’s great portrayal of my favorite superhero growing up, then all his bravery and all his struggles after he was paralyzed in that accident, and the other hero, his wife, that stood by his side, cared for him until the very end. And joined him in death, just a few months after he passed away, even though she was a healthy 44 year old woman. She died of a broken heart. RIP Christopher and Dana Reeve, you’re both heros
yes, love is strong and dying of a broken heart is a real scientifically proven death - in a way the heart is like our emotional brain and this song tugs at the heart strings. When superman soared on the screen my heart swelled with joy, even as it does with simple things like watching spring leaves unfold on the tree outside the window or playing music with others. The fear and anger in the world cannot quench the love in the human heart.
One of the greatest songs of all time IMHO. The piano intro, the meaningful lyrics, the way Ondrasik sings, the buildup, the arrangement of the instruments, the final piano arpeggio, etc. To me it's perfect in every way. Can't listen to it enough!
I used to listen to this back in HS and didn’t pay much attention to the meaning of the song. It’s been over 2 decades and the song just makes more sense now.
I think so .. these kind of music you need to save up in a playlist Bc in time you listen to many music and forget sometimes and than out of nowhere Like I was listening to random playlist and this came popping in my ear i was omg it’s been ages that i heard it on smallville ..if i am not mistaken Somehow it made me search another song David gray this year love ...its sound so sad but yet so beautiful
@@poisonivymathers Actually..."out of the blue" isn't always a bad thing. A song you haven't heard in years can come on & completely change your entire day. Lyrics from another song (google it). Ain't it funny how a melody Can bring back a memory Take you to another place & time Completely change your state of mind
I dedicate this song to my dad he has dementia, and it kills me seeing him suffer through this. And even though he has this disease he tries very hard to show us that he’s OK so if you’re reading this, please say prayer for my dad. God bless you all.
My grandmother had it for 15 years until she passed last year. I visited every week and witnessed the departure of her faculties. Be strong for your dad, brother. He still needs you.
I believe that I, myself are quite possibly it the early stages of this malady at 47yo. In my youth, high school, and unversity years, I had NO trouble spelling complex words, actually winning regional and placing in state spelling bees. On some really bad days, you guys reading this would think me to be typing some foreign language. If not some form of dimentia, I'm thinking possibly cte brought on from years of combat sports. I've not told anyone around me this, for fear of changing the way they see me....don't know, guys.... suggestion?

Could always just be the natural effects of getting old and pushing the envelope with your body too bro.
I miss you so much dad. This was your favorite song. 6 years ago you gained your wings, and 6 years ago you played this song at McDonalds when i was eating lunch on my lunch break, telling me that you were still here watching over me. I still cry any time I hear or think of this song. Thank you for being the best dad a girl could ask for, and you will always be my Superman🦸i will love and miss you forever 🪽♥️
I lost my dad October 14th, 2022. I hope you're doing okay, and wherever you are now you're happy and safe, and he's proud of you, even if you believe with all your heart that he isn't. Music has a way of healing and of telling us things we need to hear the most, from exactly who we needed to tell us.
I lost my dad too, it was June 25th, 2022. After I graduated middle school, before he passed away, he posted photos on his Instagram and said this "My little man is graduating today. All grown up, honor student. Can't be more blessed than this. I am confident you will do well in your journey becoming a man. I will always be with you and love you. My eyes through yours, Son becomes the father and the father becomes the sun." One of his favorite lines from the Superman movies. I'll always love him, and I wish you lots of luck
I remember my dad playing this all the time for me and my sister on the way to drop us off at the babysitters in the morning to catch the bus there while he went to work. He passed away last July. Thank God for music
This song came out when I was a practicing Trauma nurse. I was highly trained in my specialty from Adult Trauma to pediatric trauma. I never lost a trauma patient in my care. However if a patient had a bad outcome, it weighed heavily upon me. I had to tell myself I did everything humanly possible to save the patient & it was in God's hands. I worked closely with Cops, EMS & Firefighters. It takes special people to serve the general public often without thanks but scrutiny. God bless our first responders & ER staffs across the USA. 🇺🇸🙏💙😎
Thank you for being a nurse, especially then. I was watching THE SONG here in Nashvile, and it was him . He was talking regarding the song he wrote about V. Zulensky and Ukraine 🇺🇦 Of course, I had to find them on TH-cam 😁
I first listened to this song at 15, my father was driving his car. I remember I was in the backseat, just chilling and trying to see sights. Now I'm 23, and it's still meaningful and wholesome. It takes me back to those times that I was carefree, no jobs to look forward to. It makes me happy.
This song gives us the real depth of Superman. He is more than power, invincibility, and strength. He has dreams and admiration that he gave up for a greater cause.
This song inspired me to make a song that is inspired by love. If you want to listen to it here is the link: th-cam.com/video/3Wo0zFPt_t0/w-d-xo.html Thank you!
This was released in 2001, a song that holds true in every sense of the song's meaning.. 22 years later, still holds very true in every sense... For sure, those listening to this misses 20 years ago when life was so much simpler. Wherever your are, whoever you are, I pray you get by each and every struggling day!!!
I was teenager (college days)when I loved this song realizing how time flies.. now I'm turning 35 next year. I've learned so much about life and I've got a lot to learn. The life I lived and the choices I've made, it is made me who am I today. I give Glory and Honor to God who never leave my side.
It's a painful truth often for people that end up giving up they ask why no one noticed but it's not usually that its that they were the strong one and they just stayed strong until they couldn't anymore : (
@@leagueofwhatever987 woah really?! We just call it the Superman song in my family and I always thought it was about dads. Never heard it referenced as a song for gay men despite being born and still residing/living in the Philippines. Hahaha oh pang-jamming lang namin sa school 'to noon kasama ng "Torete", " Passenger's Seat" at "Iris"
I'm more than a bird, I'm more than a plane, I'm more than some pretty face beside the train... In more than a man in a funny red suit... About a home I'll never see... and you don't think it's a superman song? 😃
My brother passed away today and this song always made me think of him. He was always putting on a cape and trying to fly. This is for Frankie. Rest in peace brother
Pa, I want to express my deepest gratitude for all the sacrifices you've made for our family. I know it's not easy to raised 4 children, but you did your very best and your selflessness and love have shaped my life in the most beautiful way, and I am forever thankful.💚 YOU ARE OUR SUPERMAN, THE BEST FATHER IN THE WORLD.💚💚
This is what all good fathers want, now it is your responsibility to live like your dad taught you to. Remember that he wanted you to be better than him, do you know why I know it? Because that's exactly what I want for my kids, I want them to be better than me. Cheer buddy
It goes by so fast! I remember 15 like it was yesterday, and now I have a son who will be 15 in the next few years while I'm in my 40s. Life just goes fast. Appreciate the moments! Make memories. And I'm thankful to God for all those memories and the future ones too.
I've been going through a really hard time. As a male, our whole life we are taught to be strong, and to never show vulnerability or weakness. This song feels like a permission to be human. To cry. Thank you for writing this beautiful song.
Feel it too bro. Everyday showing a smile like everything is gonna be alright for your family. But deep inside, you have to bear a pain that you cant show to anyone. It's insanely hard
A man who allows himself to cry and show emotions is in my eyes a real man I would pick him over some tough guy anytime and i mean anytime I want somebody who will laugh with me and cry with me My own Superman Jenny 😊😳🌟✨
Clear, beautiful voice, singing an achingly honest, beautiful song. Made my all time favourite list from the first time i heard it. A classic. Thank you, David Gray,( who penned it) you are amazing Thank you for making Superman super human, and vulnerable. In vulnerability lies real strength.
I bought this CD before Sept 11th 2001. I can't forget seeing this live performance the night of the 9/11 benefit on TV. I'll never forget. Never forget.
I remember that performance too. Everytime I hear this song it reminds me of when the world changed. Makes me think of and miss how things were pre 9/11
Love this song, I can definitely relate to it being a care giver to my autistic Grandson - It ain’t easy being me! I also enjoy rescuing animal shelter pets and that takes a toll on a person when you see so many beautiful animals looking for homes (in shelters) that will be killed- those relinquished , or stray animals, -because there is not enough space to put all of them so they are euthanized and thrown into a black leaf bag 😢 all because people did not spay or neuter their pet
Well said... My grandparents emigrated from eastern Europe in 1918 during very difficult times. The Baltics under German, Nazi, Russian and Soviet control and to a lesser extent the Polish. Take your pick. Generational trauma. Now here I am living in a not perfect country but without physical fear. I will always be thankful for their sacrifice. They crossed the ocean.
I have cried every time I’ve ever heard this song from the very beginning. It tears at your heart. I’m now remembering all the wonderful people in my life who I have lost and hoping they have their wings in heaven.
At 66 years old, with all the lives I've lived, all the loves I've lost and gained, all the children I've raised, all the friends and family that have passed beyond the veil--this song still resonates. Just as poignant as it was the first time it played on my radio, so many years ago. It's not easy, but it is worth it.
I think that is so called depression.. only therapist can help... if it worsen, please find one... everything will eventually be alright as long as you find the right person to talk to... :)
that's exactly what i'm currently going thru. sometimes, just sometimes the struggling gets alittle too overbearing that the shoulders feel alittle weak to hold up.
My father passed away a few years back. Never told him I loved him enough now. I wish I could spend one day with him and let him know I loved him. This song is for you, dad. And for those that never told their father, they loved them enough
I'm deeply sorry for your loss. It’s so hard to live with those unspoken words, and I can feel the love and longing in your message. Even if you feel like you didn’t say it enough, I believe he knew how much you loved him. Sometimes, it’s the little things we do every day that speak louder than words. I hope this song brings you some peace and comfort, knowing he’s listening and feeling your love now and always. For everyone reading this - take that chance today to tell your loved ones how you feel. Don’t wait. Sending you strength and love. ❤

Nostalgic memories of how I used to spend lots of time with my parents when they were younger and happier. We go places a lot and talk. Now it's just not the same anymore. :'(
Such a beautiful song. So many stories of people that it's hit hard and meant something to. Congratulations on a long standing masterpiece. It's been one of my favorite songs since it was released. Thank you
Always go back to the music of your past. It will always make your present look rosy!! Treasure your life and these people around you. Someday, you will look back and realize you made it!
This is for all of you good men and good dads that break their backs working to provide to their families, being a good role model to their kids so they can grow up to be better than them... You guys are the real Superman here..
This song changed my life. I justified my worth with my looks, my grades, and my friendships, but I realized something. If everything was stripped away if I was left broke and alone, what could I look back on and be proud of. Nothing. From here on, I vow to be different. No more lies, no more masks, no more capes, just me; honest, apologetic, and true.
I love this comment. I could’ve wrote it. Everything in my life has been justified by how pretty I am or not pretty enough depending on who was in my life at the time. I surrender my life to Jesus Christ and now know the meaning of true pure love. If you’re reading this now and September Oh 2021, surrender now your life to Jesus Christ. The only meaning in life is to worship our creator. The God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob. Blessings to you all of you
For everyone who's reading this, yes, it's not easy to be who we are right now, but know that it is only you, yourself can do such things, greater things. You are you. The world is ugly without you. You're precious inside and out. Sending love from my heart to your's. 🌻💝
My daughter graduated high school today. My son graduated college last month. I remember listening to this song in 2000 with my one year old son in my lap on the beach in Southern California, wondering what the future would hold. It has all happened so fast! At least this song brings me back to 2000, sitting on that beach.

When I was a kid my dad would play this song to me all the time. He would play this song when we go on long drive trips. Now to present day I can still remember this song in my head
Now we got garbage like Soulja Boy Snoop Dogg and pitbull. I miss the good old days where songs made you cry or pump you up for a movie not just lame cash grabs.
Five for Fighting, the only artist that manages to make me almost cry over a song! That says something, I never cry when I hear a song, but for some reason, this man is the only one that can make me cry with music.
I don’t know who needs to see this but just remember: I may not know your situation or anything you’re going through, but just know you are doing your best. Never forget that ❤
Music was a huge part of my childhood in the early 2000s. It makes me miss living with all my siblings and parents and the memories of being a young kid ❤
During 9/11 Ondrasik sang this live on a tv memorial, he honored the rescuers, the song fit perfectly: in crisis, we expect fearless heroes, but often they are afraid too. It was beautiful and meaningful, which made it my forever favorite song.
The ending of the video really shows the true intent behind the song. You may initially relate it to just a song about Superman, but the true meaning is about being a husband and a father. As a man, you’re expected to be strong, stoic and basically a “super hero” to your family. How many of us see our dads as Superman? This song means more now than ever before, with masculinity under attack.
I knew I wasn't the only one thinking about it. As a dad myself I know the struggles we have to face to raise kids, specially now that there are so many ideologies that are not that good for them. thank God my wife is there and we can raise them to be a good man and a good woman
@@davidstokar887I see what you say, my dad had to raise me and my sister after my so called mother abandoned us. I remember all his efforts to work and provide for us and spend time with us. You can do it my good man, one day you'll look back and see that all the struggles were not in vain, you'll see your kids all grown up and being good people and believe me you would smile and feel good
@@ErickCastrilloArroyo Yes and it is amazing how much discrimination we have to overcome just to be seen. I was a single Dad to my sons yet it was as if we didnt exist. The hatred by some women was suprising
I can't listen to this song without crying my eyes out! It reminds me of my little girl! When she was 9, we used to listen to this song. It seemed like it was her and I against the World! Today, almost 20 years later, my daughter is struggling with heroin addiction and I don't know how to help her! If you're reading this, please say a little prayer for my little girl!
I've been there. There's plenty of new medications out there now that can get her off the dope without going through withdrawals. Would she consider a methadone clinic to start with? I went from methadone to Suboxone, and that worked for me. Cold turkey withdrawals were too painful and long lasting. Try to get her on a program. You both have my prayers.
I’m currently in one of the most difficult and saddest period of my life. I’m struggling everyday and I feel like pieces of me are breaking everyday. I find solace in music, in beautiful songs like this and in hope. I don’t know any of you who will read this comment, but I want to say that I love you all. Maybe I can’t understand your pain, what you are going through, but I wish all of you peace and a beautiful life. Even Superman, one of my most beloved superheroes, has troubles and he suffers, but he is the symbol of hope, and we can all be Superman a little bit if we Hope. One day maybe, we’ll be free from all of our pain and we’ll be flying high with happiness and feeling peace inside. I wish all of you all the peace life has taken away from you and I wish you all one day, to look back at your demons and your struggles and say “It wasn’t easy, but I did it, I’m still here, I’m fine, you no longer can control me”. I wish you all the best from the bottom of my heart and my soul ❤️.
@@chaseroberts3111 well, That’s just my TH-cam nickname I had it since like years. It’s like that old surname you don’t really know why you have it but you keep it because it’s nostalgic. I don’t see why you should find anything strange in my words, I’m being fully honest.
hey, we don't have identical experiences and I'm sure your issues are significantly different from mine. but I do understand going through the worst issues of your life, at least up to the point of life you're experiencing, and I wanted to say that as hard as it is, relief eventually comes. Even if the initial issue sticks around in your brain and makes it hard to truly move on, you can move onto a new chapter of your life and spend years working through your initial hangups. For me, it was leaving a toxic dependant friendship with my best friend because he began dating a girl I had just spent a year confiding in him about a crush I had on her. Is it high school shit? Sure. But it fucking hurt more than just about anything. I haven't had consistent friends in my life. The fact that someone seemingly used my feelings to blow his nose into before throwing them in the bin, that was huge. And I struggled with that for years. Today, I hang out with my coworkers. I understand that my kindness is a choice. There is a Rational reaction and an Emotional reaction, and sometimes they don't align and you have to pick one. The cheat code is that if you spend too much time trying to rationalise an emotional response, you're going to realise that despite your best efforts, your emotions win. Don't torture yourself over "facts over feelings" and a need to reconcile everything. Let yourself feel whatever you need to feel. Usually, even if it's ugly and dark, you'll understand what you need to do to move forward.
The real Superman depicted in this song is within each and everyone of us. Trying to do everything for our love ones. That no matter how hard we try to protect our love ones, trying to be strong for them ( esp. In times of great sickness and/or soldiers at war)...we have to admit that we still bleed inside. That we have the capacity to do great and even impossible things because of the love we have inside of us. A song dedicated for mothers who sacrifices their life and health just to give life to another human being. We don't have wings but we have love inside which can cross even the vast oceans or even fly way past into the moon. Salute to all who have so much in their hearts.
My youngest brother loved this song so much. He’s gone since 1st of June 2019. I miss him so much and everytime i hear this song it reminds me so much of him. This song’s really about him, he loved Superman character for his whole life, he always showed he’s strong but inside he’s struggling with his life, and he always said : it’s not easy to be me...Only him, never leave my mom, me-my sister and my eldest brother left and leave our mom behind, but he did not, until the death took him away from us, he still lived with her and took care of her, he kept his promise to take care our mom till death do them apart...hey you, hope you’re still listening to this song with me wherever you are, maybe up there in heaven...losing you is more painful than most people realize...
I believe this song really speaks to men of my generation - men who were told to always be strong, to never cry, to be a rock for our families, and - above all - never ask others for help. So... Sometimes I listen to this song in the driveway, and the lyrics make me realize that at least one person knows how I feel. Then, when the piano fades, I wipe my tears, put on a smile, and go inside to kiss my wife and hug my kids.
It’s 2023 and I’m here and just can’t help but think this is one of the most beautiful songs ever written for real. God Bless everyone out there reading this .
"I can't stand to fly. I am not that naive. Just out to find the better part of me. Wish I could cry fall upon my knees. Find a way to lie about a place I will never see." I totally relate to this. This hits home as guy who has never owned anything that I can call home. If I am some hero in some way. The song reminds me even heroes get stabbed and have the right to bleed. It's not easy to be me. Listening to this song years later I still find meaning true in those words.
It's really amazing to see the different ways people relate to the song because for me as someone who's a huge fan of comic books and therefore Superman this song breaks my heart especially the part that talks about Superman dreaming of a world that he'll never see which is obviously about Krypton and how that's a whole life that he'll never know and how he carries the weight of the world and many worlds on his shoulder but he's Superman so he's expected to and it's crazy to see for me knowing how emotional that song makes me about a fictional character to see people related to their real life struggles and people in their life is truly a testament to how beautiful and powerful and magical music really is.
Hope things get better for you friend. One day at a time, best as you can, whatever it may be, receive yourself with kindness... I believe you're healing 🙏
I once read that the best thing a man can do for his children is to love their mother. Xtian & Champ, I love you both so very much and I hope that I showed you both how much your mother meant to me. When I was a kid I just view this as that “superman song”. But as I grew up I realised how incredible the lyrics are; it’s about viewing the other side of a story; how superman in our mind is that perfect beacon of happiness and strength everyone wants to be- but the truth is that perhaps he never even existed. Perhaps the real superman is afraid of flying, is suffering from loneliness, is burdened by his own power, lives eternal but dies alone. Superman is a symbol of our naive way of viewing the world when we never saw pass the layers. We grew up, we failed, we made mistakes, we get rejected, battered, disappointed, we fell in love, found a family, and realised that those naive dreams are not what it seems, it’s just the way it is, it’s not easy but it’s okay.
This song always reminds me of 9/11 concert dedicated to the 1st responders at the Twin Towers in NYC. Many brave men and women who wish they could cry when fell upon their knees. Much respect for their service and sacrifice - even to this day 22 years later.

To those men whose struggling just like me, stay strong guys, no one knows what we are going through, they can say this and that but by the end of the day it's all come to just us, what WE FEEL, WHAT WE STRUGGLE WITH AND WHAT WE BEEN GOING THROUGH EVEN THOUGH WE FAKE A SMILE TO LET THEM KNOW WE ARE OK AND FINE.!!!!

yes, love is strong and dying of a broken heart is a real scientifically proven death - in a way the heart is like our emotional brain and this song tugs at the heart strings. When superman soared on the screen my heart swelled with joy, even as it does with simple things like watching spring leaves unfold on the tree outside the window or playing music with others. The fear and anger in the world cannot quench the love in the human heart.
1 year ago you posted this. I am now tearing up, that's my fave portrayl of supes😢
I agree 100% with you!
Let's be honest, this song will never get old.

I lost my dad October 14th, 2022. I hope you're doing okay, and wherever you are now you're happy and safe, and he's proud of you, even if you believe with all your heart that he isn't. Music has a way of healing and of telling us things we need to hear the most, from exactly who we needed to tell us.
My dad too. He always said, "I'm no superman." I sang this in his honor once I could get through it without crying.

My dad used to listen to this song daily. This was played at his funeral, it brings back so many memories. Miss ya dad 🕊

Zulensky and Ukraine 🇺🇦
Of course, I had to find them on TH-cam 😁
I first listened to this song at 15, my father was driving his car. I remember I was in the backseat, just chilling and trying to see sights. Now I'm 23, and it's still meaningful and wholesome. It takes me back to those times that I was carefree, no jobs to look forward to. It makes me happy.
This song gives us the real depth of Superman. He is more than power, invincibility, and strength. He has dreams and admiration that he gave up for a greater cause.

"The hardest part of being strong is that no one ever asks if you're still okay."
The message of this song is so honest.
Story of my life...so strong

I also enjoy rescuing animal shelter pets and that takes a toll on a person when you see so many beautiful animals looking for homes (in shelters) that will be killed- those relinquished , or stray animals, -because there is not enough space to put all of them so they are euthanized and thrown into a black leaf bag 😢 all because people did not spay or neuter their pet
Too bad so many Americans have forgotten 9/11 and are against Israel in 2024. Those that do not learn from the past are condemned to repeat it.

This song reminds us to appreciate and be grateful to those who crossed the oceans for us. Those who helped us unconditionally.
Nah, it reminds us that he's more than a bird, he's more than a plane, he's a BIRDPLANE!!! A MOTHERFKN BIRDPLANE

At 66 years old, with all the lives I've lived, all the loves I've lost and gained, all the children I've raised, all the friends and family that have passed beyond the veil--this song still resonates. The ending of the video really shows the true intent behind the song. You may initially relate it to just a song about Superman, but the true meaning is about being a husband and a father. As a man, you’re expected to be strong, stoic and basically a “super hero” to your family. How many of us see our dads as Superman? This song means more now than ever before, with masculinity under attack.

hey, we don't have identical experiences and I'm sure your issues are significantly different from mine. but I do understand going through the worst issues of your life, at least up to the point of life you're experiencing, and I wanted to say that as hard as it is, relief eventually comes.

It’s 2023 and I’m here and just can’t help but think this is one of the most beautiful songs ever written for real. God Bless everyone out there reading this .
And to you too kind sir. This is a great song and one that brings tears to my eyes when I listen to it.
I’m listening to Five For Fighting Superman (It’s Not Easy) late August 2023
It is !!!!
These film techniques still get to me to this day!
Same
Somewhat but its kinda nice i suppose
Why hello there EvenOut.
That video was hella cool
Me too
i had forgotten how much i loved this song though. Hats of to you Mr. The Algorithm 👌🏽🤠
I fight with depression and high anxiety everyday. It's not easy to be me. This has been one of my favorite songs for years.
I know how you feel
I'm with you dear. 🙂
So sorry to hear this 😢.
@@jeremyscott9180 but if were easy anybody could do it
Hope things get better for you friend.
She will forever be my girl and you two are our greatest gifts. Always take care of each other the best that you can 💛
This song was played at my cousins funeral. He loved Superman all his life. I listen to this song for him almost everyday. He died of silent depression.
Depression is really the silent killer
Wym?

REAL MUSIC IS TIMELESS 💯
My parents got me this CD when I was diagnosed with a very bad case of meningitis at 13 years old. By no means does that compare with some of the comments below, but I remember thinking I might not survive or possibly could be facing paralysis.
We listened to this song together and I remember just appreciating being together and being okay that particular moment. Never forgot that.
Hope you're doing well mate. Keep flying like Superman bro.
@@mrmoviemanic1 Doing excellent! Life can't be better. Same to you man.
I also had meningitis, nearly lost my life. Ended up in a coma but thankfully to the Lord above I made it through.God is good 🙏

You got a Cool brother.May God Bless Your brother's Soul
He is always with you.
This song still moves me just as much today as when it first came out. Such an incredible song.
I always get a sad sense of nostalgia when I hear early 2000s songs. There is something special about them.
Maybe it's your childhood
Same lol
I know what you mean. My kids had these songs on their iPods. Man I miss those years.
yeah 2000s songs were the last bunch of good songs now you occasionally get one or two good songs
@Mac this one has the soul and passion of the nineties
I have always really like this song. The lyrics are terrific!
I love you too hehe
You have good taste!
😥 because this is me
Your mom
Is terrific
Good
Good music is beautiful.
Great music is heavenly.
Thank you, Superman.
Amazing music is amazing.
Phenomenal music is phenomenal.
You, OP, are dumb.
Florencia Edgina Well summarized
What you wrote was so romantically beautiful.
Know what- when i get money im making a poster and putting this on it and of course ill give u credit
Natsu Dragneel oh wow thanks!
Florencia Edgina that was beautiful
Such a perspective this song takes!
Good to see the storytellers still live on!
This song always reminds me of 9/11 concert dedicated to the 1st responders at the Twin Towers in NYC. Many brave men and women who wish they could cry when fell upon their knees. Much respect for their service and sacrifice - even to this day 22 years later.
Amen brother you got it 100%!
Yes. It became the anthem for all those souls taken on that terrible day. 9/11. ♥️
I fell in love with my husband when he sang this song. It’s been already 8 years… Wish I could go back to the moment just once.
This song popped in my head and I had to hear it right now! It stands up powerfully!!!❤❤❤❤❤
I'm watching Smallville Season1 episode 16 awhile ago and they played this song at the end of the episode...because of Smallville I remembered how great this song is..
Ahn Jae me too :)
So have you seen every episode of "Smallville"
(Yes spelled it right this time)
Abi Ewalt I have :D
@@PoppyFlower821Yep, one of the best and my favourite series ever.
This is my theme song. I have overcome learning disabilities, being told I don't matter most of my life. Married a wonder woman on may 5th 2012 when I was twenty nine years old. My wife battles with bipolar. I over came the odds once again to be an amazing husband for her. Now I battle anxiety, depression, PTSD and fibromlgyia. Have not work since 2014. I am a stay at home husband who main dreams is to be a voice for those who don't have a voice. we are Woking on our TH-cam page where I play ps3 and ps4 games and we talk about mental illness and what it is like to have them!!!!! Thank you TH-cam for giving us a voice

Lol dont kill me
Eh okay!!!! Not sure what you mean by that. If that is a joke it is a tasteless one and very rude.
Good spirit, you can overcome it with such positivity
All right!
Pretty timeless song
Rewatching Smallville and heard this. This is why I love older tv shows, they always had great music.
Me paso igual❤

This was a song we always sang with my cousin Roy when we were young. Now we have our own family and still remember how we sang this song together.
This song inspired me to make a song that is inspired by love. If you want to listen to it here is the link: th-cam.com/video/3Wo0zFPt_t0/w-d-xo.html
Thank you!
I cant believe this song didnt win any grammy! They deserved a win for this song!
This band may have refused to do any rituals and/or blood sacrifices to Lucy Fur and for their disobedience they never were "awarded".... my opinion entirely
It helped loads of first responders after 9-11. Loads. Of. US.
I became a bilateral below the knee amputee over the course of two years and this song was part of a mix CD that i listened to during the recovery process.
The song that my dad always sang! REST IN PEACE pa! I love you so much. May 8 1955 - Dec 29 2018
My Condolences
@@bryanjabeguero2719 thanks bro
Sneaking into my brothers room while he's out to search his library of newly downloaded songs only to find this gem! I still get goosebumps now at 34 as I did at 12. Incredible song.
💯💪🏾thanks man much needed words
..and ladies.
Women as well. This song has helped me get through so many tough nights and days through out the yearssss as a single mom. I’m no longer a single mom as my two daughters have grown and have careers of their own. Now I’m just riding and enjoying my quiet time. I lived for them and for the only. Now I’m living to see these two beautiful ladies blossom into their own lives. Thanks to those women and men in uniforms that are keeping us safe and protecting our freedom.
With you , exactly the same
Fake it till you make it ❤️👍
One of the most beautiful songs I remember from my past, great to hear it again and reminisce.
You have Alzheimer’s, Uncle Dave. You constantly tell us about this “new song you think we’ll love”
One of the greatest songs ever.
My dad died 2 weeks ago, and I can't stand up on my own. Whenever I tune in this song, it gives me strength to fight for my sadness. Dad, wherever you are, you will always be in my heart forever. I'm gonna be strong than ever before. I miss you daddy.

Dad feels you right beside him be strong and look to the sky 🙏
