Agree to disagree but other pundits including Archie Rhind-Tutt would agree with my assessment. When was the last time Germany played well with a false nine? What is the point of having someone like Havertz create chances if they can't finish any of them? I recall in 2014, Loew had to bench Gotze for Klose because the attack was disjointed At Euro 2016, they had a similar problem and looked much better with Mario Gomez Instead of using personal attacks, I recommend engaging in the nuance of the conversation
@@BibimBallers Well, fair enough, but your statement about the Spanish being better than us is just nonsensical, sorry. They were better in the first 20 and maybe overall the first half, but also mainly because of our many mistakes losing the ball. In the second half and in extra time I think we had them on the ropes, but of course, failed spectacularly in defense ad offense. That much is true. Havertz is neither a no. 10 nor a 9. He is a tapper in-ner, nothing more. And don't even get me started on Sane, injury or not.
@@musashimiyamoto586 Spain finished their chances and didn't make any HUGE blunders in defense. That's what determines whether you win or lose in a tournament. The only mistake Spain's manager made was taking out Yamal early in the second half. I hope Nagelsmann learns from this and starts matches with a proper 9 because if Havertz isn't a 10 or a 9, why is he starting?
The Spanish were NOT better this time, just more frigging lucky and clinical. And we made two amateurish mistakes that led to the goals. And we had Havertz, of course, that bum who never hits the target, but is only good for tap-ins and penalties. Oh, and what about that handball by Cucurella? Freaks me the f... out that pens are not given when they are crystal clear. At that time assuming that bum Havertz puts it in we lead 2:1 and I would have wanted to see Spain get the equalizer and not concede again.
That is a dumb post. If you want to be the top dog you have to beat everyone at any time. And we were close, only in the end shot ourselves in the foot (and were not given a clear penalty).
Bro you cant blame Nagelsman, Germany has not beat Spain in an international game since i believe 1988 🤔 and trust me, Spain was not lucky they buss Germany's proverbial ass my guy. @@senseikanacke69 Yeah. But beating Italy, Germany, France and maybe England in the same tournament is something that you have never done and probably never will

If fulkrock was started first then germany might have won even before the extra time...and regarding soain vs Germany...germany always lost against Spain...
You didn't "know" that because it simply isn't true. The team simply plays much more fluidly with Havertz in the centre of attack. It's as simple as that. And pretty much every decent analyst has agreed with that in recent weeks. Füllkrug may have the more typical player profile as a striker. But he falls too far behind the others in the combination game. And even in his very own area of responsibility, he failed in this game when he put a completely unchallenged header past the goal. If anything, Nagelsmann could be criticised for not having the courage to bring on a more mobile player like Beier. Taking Gündogan and Sane off at half-time may also have been a mistake. Havertz certainly wasn't.

De la Fuente made a wicked bad decision pulling off Nico and Yamal too early. Lucky they got Merino making that beautiful header.
Kid accuses Nagelsmann of thinking he is smarter than everyone else. At the same time, Kid thinks he is smarter than a world-class coach. Comedy gold.
