I bought the book ‘Shock, Rattle and Roll’ a few days ago, which only contains photos of the rehearsals for this show. It's very funny, Milton Berle really seemed to be a man with a sense of humour and he and Elvis liked each other, you can clearly see that. There is even a page printed from a TV magazine from 5.6.56, the show ran from 9 p.m. to 10.05 p.m. on channel 4. And now, shortly afterwards, I'm watching the whole show here for the first time ... I am a happy man!
This is even a bad copy, but at least a complete show.. It was broadcasted in colour back then, but as far as we know, no "recording " in colour exists. Same goes for the Welcome Home Elvis show with Frank Sinatra, also broadcasted in colour. But only recorded in black and white.. So THEY did not lie...You misunderstood.

Wished they could have taped the show in colour. I'm glad the show was preserved! I've never seen the whole broadcast before.
Now we need the full Steve Allen episode.
they lied!
This isn’t in living color!
