When you've mastered Malzeno with Great Sword

I started running this monster right after MHR Sunbreak released but due to life I had to stop playing for about 6 months. Recently I was able to come back to finish my unfinished projects, including this Malzeno speedrun. I have a sub 2'50 run but I chose to upload this one as it's cleaner. Hope you enjoy!

Xan the Man, back at it again! Your precision and rock solid composure throughout this entire run was incredible to behold! Dodging the bite at 1:12 by simply standing still and finishing the fight by countering Mal's super ground slam were especially sick. Also, I never knew that you could bait out the tail stabs THAT consistently before now. That's some grade A old school MH AI manipulation goodness right there! Very cool to see!

Why took Malzeno so much time to go in rage? Wasn't rage based on damage?

Malzeno enraged after the 1 TCS, that is completely normal.
If you're wondering about his Bloodening state or his second enrage form then that one is time based. He usually enters that second state in 3mins, that's why in speedruns under 3mins he never enters that state

How are charging through every attack, is there a skill that's making you not care about hits?

I'm parrying every attack with Strongarm Stance, a switch skill introduced in Sunbreak.

Question, would you say the Kamura GS is still the best GS overall, or are there other options to consider?

If you're playing without augmented armor it's the best. However with augs or palico affinity buff the negative affinity, high raw GS like Jyura, Goss, etc. can become even stronger.
