If i was an american, i would went for the nearest possible gun and *ratatatat* it all. Just kidding, i would've done the same thing. Dont wanna make a mess of trying to kill it. No point in that route.
Peppermint oil, Irish spring soap, moth balls. Better to put something like this in garage area, in small compartment like under/behind sink, heater area etc. and use mouse proof containers for food. Light under van at night can help something as simple as solar motion light set there at dark. All of this is just deterrent. Check often, clean often. Good luck, they always have friends lol

Years ago there was a mouse stuck in back of our stove and the wall. The poor little guy. I don't remember how but my son was able to get him out and we just took the little guy outside across the street and set him free. It was a nice moment between a mother and son🙏🏼🩵
If I were you, I'd try to find where that little guy got into your van and close it off. I caught a mouse in my garage once, and I literally drove it over five miles away just to make sure he didn't come back lol

I just got a mouse now because my cat died. I bought a couple of humane traps today and hope to deploy them tomorrow. They do need to be put out because they can carry the deadly hantavirus virus, and chew through wires and belts, because if they don’t gnaw and chew, their teeth grow out of control. Your van is great, the build is so well designed and equipped. Your farewell tribute was touching. God bless you and your pup.
In my house there was a mother rat who lived in the ceiling. She came in to eat and have her babies. She had two litters. One of them I didn't see grow, in a dresser on top of my clothes. I caught 6 in a bucket, took them to the woods, alive, one at a time. She had 6 more, I saw these very small ones and didn't save them :/. I put them in a gallon of water to see if the mother would come in and I could take them all happily ever after into the woods, she didn't go in, so I just took them out of the house after 2 days. I closed every place she entered the house. So she had to go eat somewhere else and I found her dead, probably poisoned. It's a sad story for me.

Here in our country (Philippines) most of us call them mabait, meaning good/nice, because they do revenge by making holes in our clothes if we chase them by hitting or throwing objects so we capture them by traps like yours, anyways i really like your videos, kuddos and more contents in the future
I noticed a guy camping with lights shining from under his vehicle at night. When asked he said he uses multiple battery touch lights around engine bay and underneath vehicle along with moth balls and says he uses a spray that has capsaicin in it the stuff from hot peppers that give it the heat used in pepper spray that is sprayed onto vehicle undercarriage. Do this to keep rodents away because they chew wiring and can cause you to be abandoned out there with costly repairs
I was in a parking lot asleep when I herd a rokus near my head.. Basically a rat had hopped on my rear tire and was trying to come in and I banged against the tire frame and it left. Van was new but man he sure did sound like he was making whatever progress to find a way in somehow. Other than that if I'm not around I close all windows doors cuz rat's mice are everywhere even in broad daylight they will take a risk and run yards to get to something. Only problem I hv are small spiders in summer.. Make white vinegar and mint oil spray to keep them away no harm to vehicle or interior.
