Great to see another video from you. Can't wait to see where you land for the next chapter on this adventure. Wish you the best man. Thanks for the update.
John- Great idea on the mobile shop. I am not so sure I could begin a nomadic lifestyle, but it seems to be working out well for you. Good luck on your adventure!
The panels came with L brackets I used 1/4 20 ss 1" bolts with fender wasters and nylock nuts and bolted them through the roof. I'll gladly make a video but will be a bit before I get it out. Hope this helps in the mean time.
Hey buddy, did you finish the trailer? What else after this video did you do? I have a similar one I’m building out for my mobile repair business. Thanks man.
It's a very cool set up. If it was me which it's not.I would add more solar panels. That's probably the cheapest upgrade. It looks like you have the room. And it would give you more wattage coming in on bad days.
Nice solar setup. Just FYI your amps calculation for running your compressor is wrong but it doesn't really matter. Killer setup and want to see the finish product.
Cool, little video. I am looking to build out a kayak, camping, fishing trailer, and am thinking running a solar setup, backup with shore power, 12v system as I don't need more than that. Was thinking in the neighborhood of 600 - 800 watts, but after second thought, I really do not have a need for that much, and need it to be portable (detachable) etc., 400 w would be about right for what little power I would actually need. Cool setup, any tips for install? Thanks. Good luck with the move.
All the stuff I used I linked in the video description if you want to check that out. As far as tips definitely plan out the location of everything and think over any design changes/possibilities. Once you cut holes it's set in stone.
what you just described is exactly what i am trying to do , however I know nothing about installing Solar, and only minor electric work my field of expertise in Plumbing and carpentry I'm a kayak fisherman myself headed to Florida , How would i go about finding someone to help me install solar in my 7x16 trailer i plan to to the rest of the build myself
I want to be able to make a compact solar charging system for remote 5 day fishing trips by boat. I know absolutely nothing about it but want to put it together
id like to power my 7x14 with solar but don't know how to . should i buy a solar generator? or How would I go about finding someone to install it for me?
I insulted my ceiling and walls with 3/4” eps and it lowered the temp about 13-15 degrees. I run a 5,000 Btu ac all day in my 5x10. 300 ah and 400 watt solar.

Lovely setup! Greetings from Jamaica.
Greetings and thank you. Jamaica is awesome I've been there several times.
Nice trailer, thanks for sharing 👍
Cool ideas!
Perfect! I’m in the process of doing the same thing. Can you show how you attached your panels to the roof?

Bad ass trailer!

Absolutely its easy to upgrade if needed. I'm not sure how much I'll use so I started here with upgrades available if needed

I'm definitely still learning lol
You're living my dream buddy, a mobile shop. where did you get your trailer and how much did you pay for the trailer?

How much would the solar system cost (I’m a painter and would love to run my paint sprayer and battery’s, lights)

Check out my power box videos in my diy playlist. Regular and solar ones in thete as well
Would those panels stand up to hail during the summer? I live in Arkansas and there’s usually bad weather frequently.
I'd like to think so. They held up to hurricane Ian 150mph plus winds and flying debris hitting them.
Forgive me but I didn't hear...we're you able to charge your Dewalt 20V batteries off of your solar only? Nice job by the way!
@@McMedfly yes absolutely

No build it. Way cheaper than a solar gen. Where you located I can build it out for ya

Still got the camper for sale?
I do
The compressor is pulling a lot more than 13 amps at 12 volt.
@irepairofpc31familykartrac51 correct but this is hooked up to an inverter.
The inverter wires look a little undersized, would hate for you to have an issue.
2 ga is plenty
Thats a $8,000.00 TRAILER 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍
That trailer was 13k before the upgrades lol
