Well, if they had continued playing and recording after the release of Bust a Nut and the subsequent Best of album they could have maintained a big following and continue evolving. They had two important assets on hand: great songs and a great management company (Q Prime). I guess the problem was within the band members: dysfunctional personalities and behaviors.

Tesla was one of my favorite bands when i was in my teens but he blew out his voice by the time the 3rd album hit. i remember telling a friend how much different he sounded on the Psychotic Supper from The Great Radio Controversy. The touring life is hard AF on you physically. Especially back then. Those first two albums to me were the very best Tesla.
Well yea they are by far their best 2 records,but imo his vouce didnt sound much different on psychotic supper,also his voice is very raspy and never seemed like it would last very long touring behind rock records!!but I did get a chance to see them in 90 opening up for Motley Crue at Lake compounce In Bristol CT and I thought they were great and liked them before then anyhow but I even liked the psychotic supper record,not as much but it still rocked,but had more filler then the previous 2!!
Regardless of their age they still look like babies! What was it, 29 + 26? Still look like babies to me. Okay I shouldn't say babies but they look so young compared to what their ages are in this. End of conversation.

I thought it was fun to share because i had just recently found Tommy Skeoch music thst i loved. Ive never met them so i dont know about the exact dates. They do look like kids though.

I didn't hear about Tesla till Heavens Trail and by then Def Leopard was my life. In 87 I was sixteen so my brain was mush anyway lol. I was more concerned with aquanet and designer jeans.

I don’t see concerts anymore but I am going to see Tommy Scheos new band Resist and Bite in March. I really like his solo work too.
Tommy Skeoch’s solo work is my favorite.
