Fun podcast again! Thank you. I was surprised to find High Desert which is made with 100% American-grown wool from the Shaniko Wool Company in Oregon. It is at Knit Picks and is considered Worsted Weight at 217 yards / 100 grams. I decided to order enough for a vest. Affordable yarn choice.
What a beautiful yarn shop! Ritual Dyes wool looks lovely, too. My ears perked up at mention of the colour “Portucala”. I sometimes grow portulaca flowers in my garden and wondered about “potucala”. Dandelion Fiber’s site does list the colour way spelled that way, but Ritual Dyes has it like the flower, “Portulaca”…in case the shop owner feels like changing it. But life is short😉
Hi Kristin, Your Christmas knits are sooooo cute! I’m going to make some mini sweaters out of Yorkshire West Spinners candy cane self striping yarn and maybe make a garland. Thanks for the inspiration, especially good when your mojo is a bit off 😂 We call bars, slice, here in NZ. I know the recipe you mentioned, we call that Rosie Slice, and put dried cranberries in it, so delicious. Thanks for another lovely podcast x
Hi Kristin. absolutely loved your podcast 🥰 Covid - sorry to hear you had it. Keep resting if you can - I can hear that you are not quite there yet. 😕. Happy Thanksgiving to you - SO good you will get to see your son. SO good! Well one of ours is going to have his first ever experience of thanksgiving - we are kiwis. He will be off to his girlfriend's family in Denver. I am looking forward to hearing about his experience.....Turkey, cranberry and loved ones to be grateful for - am I right? I am knitting on Sini Kramer's Tuulikki mittens - my first ever mitten and loving it. I am aiming to knit a pair for his girlfriend also before I need to send a bigger parcel over to him - cowl, balaclava, two Kiwiana fun tea towels and hopefully two sets of mittens. This pair I have hand dyed 4ply merino and paired with silk mohair. Loved all of your projects - little fellas, and you look great in your Petite Knits No Frills Garthenor. 🙏❤
Those mini knits just couldn’t be any cuter😂 What super sweet gift toppers or display items! Thanks for another enjoyable video! Enjoy the Holidays
Your Christmas knits are adorable! I knit 24 pairs of tiny socks to add to gifts this year. Thanks for sharing.
The caramel sea salt chips are a must in my family. So good in cookies!
All of these littles are so dang cute!
Hi! Shaniko would be called a ranch because they primarily raise livestock. A farm grows food mostly for people but also for livestock feed.
