Hello, your accent tells me, that you might be german. The "Audioscan" label on the backside of your amp was the famous Copenhagen store "Audioscan", that sold the "creme de la creme" high-end back in the 70´es, when I was a young man who often visited the store, and unfortunately did not have the money to buy the best af the best ...e.g. "creme de la creme". At that time some hifi engineers broke out from Kenwood in Japan, which was full of some of the worlds best hifiengineers. Some of them build Accuphase, which today, as you all know, is reckoned maybe the finest of all hifi amps, when it comes to pure transistor amps. Others builded the Nikko firm, which also made some extremely well sounding amps, but never reached the hights of Accuphase. I am so lucky to have an Accuphase E-202 and a Nikko TRM 750. Both are in perfect condition, and sounds so good, that many of todays amplifiers does not stand a chance, when competing to these old champs. I will finish by saying, that on a scale to 10 I will rank the E-202 to 9 and the TRM 750 to 7.5 due to a better refined treble in the Accuphase. But your amp is still a very good tip toing amplifier indeed...no doubt!
Hey Michael. Thank you so much for sharing you knowledge and insights! That's what this channel is all about. I am to very impressed with this amplifier. unfortunately i sold it to make room for other brands and hifi equiptment... Instant regret! :D Oh well, i might be lucky and find another again some time. Thank you again for sharing :D
I think the Labs Division Had more advanced designs than accuphase did at least initially And I'm thinking of the L series Sigma Servo , external power supplies Like the LO8 , LO7 II , LO7-D
