@jameshawthorn9274 Thanks mate well I think it would be amazing as Scarecrow as king of the drop heads and having a whole army of followers behind him as Penguin is over charging for the drugs now and Scarecrow is on the scene undercharging for the drugs so Penguin hires Blackmask in the war as an assassin. Then Maybe even throw Hush or Bane into the mix working with Scarcrow. And add in some Harvey Dent/2 Face would be fucking epic...then leave Joker for part 3.

I think Reeves can pull off Robin, he made Bad Ape work in planet of the apes and that was one of the darkest blockbusters I’ve ever seen

Dark Victory is from a great era.
Dark Victory is such a crazy and grim story, and I actually like it better than TLH I think. The whole side story about Alberto thinking he is going crazy is SO creepy and twisted
Dark Victory is underated
If they follow this type of story I think a season finally would be a good way to introduce the Flying Graysons, then that somehow ties into the movie, maybe even a Bruce Wayne cameo in the same episode. It'd be a good way to guarantee viewership as well.
My theory is that THE BATMAN PART II will borrow some elements from BATMAN: THE IMPOSTER Comic book written by Mattson Tomlin.
And I don’t mean to necessarily copy it. But take inspiration similar to how they did with other Batman comics like Long Halloween.
For example the Leslie Thompkins Therapy scenes with her and Bruce were really great and i think they would be so good in the sequel.
Especially the scene with Otis. I love how basically a person as innocent as him thinking he is helping Batman but to end up offing himself because of it would be really great in the big screen. And VERY Shocking.
I wonder what your thoughts are Boba. If you think these things could happen or if you think none of it will be in the movie even it Mattson Tomlin is the writer alongside Matt Reeves
I agree. I think the villain will be an identity thief type villain and I think it’ll be Clayface. I think the film will dive into identity and mental health.
I really hope Johnathan Crane is in Penguin, Scarecrow has been my #1 pick for Batman Part 2 since the first one came out. I love Mr Freeze and get why people want him but I feel like Scarecrow would work perfectly in Reeves Gotham

I wouldn’t mind Pattinson Batman to have Jason Todd as his Robin. I think he fits more for that grounded universe
Jason Todd would be crazy in this universe his violency will match perfect in Reves-verse i even see him getting his on spin-off series in the future maybe after The Batman Part III or after Part II but before Part III
I fully agree that they knew people would see Karlo and run with it, but who knows exactly what they are thinking at this point. Would be interesting if she is related or gender-swapped - OR if she just uses it as a stage name - but I do really want to see what Reeves can do with that Golden Age version of the character.
I also cannot see it being possible that we have a continuation of the Reeves-verse without him being highly relevant in this story even if he’s not visible

From the perspective of a crazy serial killer psychopath, she is normal and so are her actions therefore, she wouldn’t say they rightfully locked her away.
From her perspective, they didn’t understand her and therefore pushed her out.
If that makes sense? I don’t think her dialogue is meant to hint at her being set up, if anything it’s proving that despite the 10 years presumably that she was getting treatment, she didn’t get any better and probably became even more insane!

Boba who do you think will be the ‘bane’ of the reeves verse? The biggest challenge to battinson in a fight that fits reeves’ tone. Birthday boy is my pick as he fits the serial killer type for battinson’s detective approach. I don’t think they would want to adapt bane again after tdkr and want to go for someone new.
Boba,what if Reeves version of Clayface is based on False face from the comics and the Batman Beyond series.That would be awesome to see on the big screen.Also,he would fit the realism of the Batverse.

I want them to put the crumbs and easter eggs about the court of owl here and there, so that when the Owl's actually make the presence, we will believe that they have actually been around Gotham for a very long time predates Batman
I think we all forget that Reeves himself used prosthetics so fucking good that The Penguin doesn’t even look like Collin. I’m gonna guess that Karlo will use very similar technology for his masks
Reeves could introduce Dick Grayson in The Batman Part II similar to the Dark Victory storyline, but don’t have him start out immediately as Robin. Then have him become Robin in Part III.
Robin should also be really young. I always thought it cool if we get Batman and Robin relationship to be like Plainview and his son in There will be blood.

As good as the Penguin prosthetics are IRL they have the right team staffed to make Clayface & his makeup abilities a believable villain
What if Alberto is the Hangman? A combination of the The Long Halloween and Dark Victory, perhaps. He could frame his sister, and then the GPD finds her innocent?
Funnily enough I also thought of this during editing and wish I'd mentioned it - it occured to me that if Sofia is framed... There still could've sactually have been a 'Hangman' killer, and that could've been her brother. Then there's that shot of him distressed in the trailer visiting Sofia in Arkham, perhaps feeling guilty that she took the fall & this could link to the fact that Falcone + his men 'pushed her out' and made her take the fall for it. All so that Alberto could still be in place so to speak in the family as the next in line or something.
But yeah, I do think this could be a likely theory in how they're adapting it in this way with a bit of innovation and making Alberto's comic book 'Holiday killing' really about being Hangman & Sofia, the actual Hangman in the comics, takes the fall for her brother.

@@BobaTalks Than in the Batman 2, we see Robin already established, and the movie is just “Robin: Year One?” Maybe Haileys Circus is run by one of the Penguins rivals, and HE kills them (the Flying Graysons)?

My theory on Sophia and the hangman is that she absolutely is but it was never proven, but it was widely believed to be her. She maybe served that 10 years because she had gotten thrown under the rug for a separate crime.
As much as i would love it, I highly doubt we will see EVERY main line Robin in the DCU.
I don’t think it’s a bad idea that Matt Reeves writes in a story for whichever Robin James Gunn decides to skip, even if it is someone like Stephanie Brown.
I’m ok not having Dick Grayson in the Reevesverse so long as we’re not missing out in the DCU. I also think it will confuse general audiences less if Reeves DOESN’T use the Robin’s James does.
I don’t see Sofia taking on the role of the Hangman in the sequel regardless if she was or wasn’t the Hangman in the past. I think she’ll play a similar role Alberto had in Dark Victory as a red herring meanwhile there’s a copycat killer on the loose. If that’s the case I think they’ll also flip “Nine of you are safe” to “None of you are safe.” At first Bruce will think Sofia is the killer and leaves her family out of it. Then either due to Robin or Alfred he realizes the copycat is targeting the Falcone family.
I think the thrillkiller Elseworlds story would be perfect for matt reeves. He could adapt that version of Dick and Barbara

Dark Victory completes Bruce's arc in Long Halloween, I go back and forth on which is better but Dick Grayson is essential for Bruce, restoring his hope after the events of Long Halloween. Now The Batman actually did the opposite of shatter his trust in others like with Harvey, but Bruce still needs someone like Dick to see himself in another orphan and keep him from falling to the darkness like he once did, The Batman did already foreshadow. Maybe they can avoid making him Robin but Dick HAS to be in The Batman IMO.

Fans of a potential Robin in The Batman 2 have always been head scratchers for me. A lot of people want this storyline just for Robin.
Like this is early days Batman, he’s still figuring it all out. Only a couple of rogues gallery characters have even been introduced yet and not even in their full recognisable personas yet. Like Reeves said, everyone’s in their infancy.
I know in part 2 we will see Batman grow more into the Batman he’s supposed to become with his arc but still. Way too early to even think about a Robin, even as far ahead as the 3rd film. Bruce is still working himself out let alone a kid.
In all honesty I would prefer no Robin at all in this universe. I think it would suit it better. Having Bruce adopt a child protege wouldn’t fit the style of this Batverse imo. I prefer the lone wolf Batman.

Bruce adopts dick Grayson in his early days not just that but the robins elevate him as character and they make him more human
Robin showing up in the sequel wouldn’t make sense. Having The Flying Grayson death and Bruce adopting Dick does make sense. No sure if that’ll happen but it could work. Robin could happen for part 3 just as a subplot.

Well as much as i want a Batman cameo at the end of the Penquin series i don't wonna to him to show very ofen we don't need a series like villan escaping from vengance stuff no the Penquin is to set up Oaz story and show how he manage to become a Kingpin of Gotham and to people who might say "ehhh if Batman isn't in it i ain't watching it " so now let me explain that to you as i write that in my prevoius comment The Batman will appear probably for a minute in the last episode and that's it if he will appear offen then the series will lose this vibe cause i think what Matt Reves is trying to doing here is to show people ( and Todd Phillips also ) that there can be movies or like in these case series without Batman wich is ofc still set in Batman universe but they just want to show that Batman doesn't needs to be to make it more popular or violence they wonna show that there could be also a productions with villan as the main protagonist

I dont see a reason why reeves will include robin in this universe since we are already getting a robin or a family of robins in the dcu.
I hope batman cameos often though the series. I don't expect him to be a secondary character or anything but I'm tired of these interconnected IPs teasing a cameo for an entire season for a minute long appearance at the last episode. I want batman to be lurking as a c plot twice or trice doing detective stuff, just enough for his presence to feel like it should should from the POV of the criminals. Like he COULD show up at any moment, as if he's probably onto you but you can't be sure

I think we know it’s getting a 3rd and that the 2nd will at least hit 900 probably a billion. Also no dick Grayson is a massive failure and in my opinion doesn’t kill but majorly hurts the universe. Dcu has Damien as the main Robin it doesn’t conflict with dick being Robin in the Batman universe. Dick will be young a teenage while dcu hell be early to mid 20s simple no confusion no nothing dick has to be in the Batman part 2 and be Robin

Two: Reeves and his team never seemed to limit themselves to only two or three films. Everthing Reeves said and all the extra stuff like the tv shows (Penguin, Arkm Assylum) seemed like a longer (like) narrative than past btman sc films.
