I am maybe 4 months into the game. I know how to read, look things up on the net, etc... but like a newbie probably does, I spent gems and gold sort of randomly. In these 4 months I've improved quite a bit, from watching your videos. On cultivation luckily I have not screwed that up too much, except to have wasted some gold just to make the daily cultivation goal. I've worked solely on increasing my generals level... and I've done that pretty cheaply (just hard work). This was so timely. And now I'm convinced I won't work on any area of the game until I have heard your comments about it. You have me convinced... and many people in our alliance knows you as well. This is my first comment too. you Aka, and it won't be my last.

@@RedEvony You are very welcome. Looking forward to all your other videos. I do have a question I might have missed. What do we cultivate on wall generals?
Thank you very much Aka for this video lovely But I have a question, I'm new to this game and all my good generals like Elektra and Trajan. I used gems cultivation x 100 for them only. Can I still do gold cultivation?
Excellent video, very well explained as usual. One more bit of information to add - at what point does a person switch from gold to gems for cultivation? And what are the max levels that can be achieved by gold, and then gems and overall.
Thanks 😊🙏 You switch from gold to gems 💎 when the cultivation stat reaches 300. Before 300, you can use either gems or gold. After 300, you can only use gems. The cultivation cap is 500 👍
Hi Aka, I believe left out an important point. Why is it important not to cultivate your general beyond 500 in all the 4 categories? Can't find a video where this is explained. Thanks mate 👍😊
@@RedEvony Is it worth to cultivate beyond 500. I got 512 on attack for Electra. Some people say if you go beyond 500 this can drop certain gear buff's by 2 percent. Personally I don't think this is true. But who knows?? Thanks a bunch Aka. I subscribed by the way ☺️👍
Thanks for confirmation, with a simple but clear video👍 Just a clarification: for sub generals that produce Gold, politic is enough, right? Especially for farm, that doesn’t have to fight (that require leadership with training troops and speed march)
If you can afford to, you could. It would help increase the general’s march speed, making the general return from rallies quicker. If your alliance is very active with rallies, that could be beneficial 👌
The more I cultivate my general the worst s/he gets, Li Jing's leadership dropped from +29 to 22 and I don't know how many more times I need to cultivate him to boost it back.
Then I think you are doing it wrong 😅 The first thing you need to remember is that you can choose what cultivations you accept. If it doesn’t look good, just don’t accept it. Keep cultivating until you get one that looks good, accept it and carry on 👍 Next, keep an eye on your stats. If one or more are dropping too much, then you have to pay attention to accept cultivations that increase those specific stats that are lagging 😉 It might seem like you are spending a lot of gold/gems, but that’s just how it is. Also, try as much as you can to do your initial cultivation with gold (until 300). It takes a lot longer than cultivating with gems, but it is much cheaper
Finally have a few officer generals and would like to appoint them for my buildings, but getting them to qualify is taking a very long time. I usually cultivate generals once a day and so far only one general (Attila) reached the bottom qualifications and I don't want to use him as an officer. How to get the others (Hammurabi, Askia Muhammad I, John I of Portugal, etc.) to level up to qualify fast on Leadership and Attack?
Very good explaining 👌 but just one thing I don't have it very clear should I give the starts firstly and give exp to the max level then after this cultivation ?
Thank you 🙏 The ideal situation is to raise the general’s level to L22 or higher, give 5 stars ⭐️ and then cultivate. If you have enough general EXP books (the green ones), you can go through this process very easily. You could also level up on a subordinate city, as shown in my Leveling video 👍
Thanks 🙏 and yes, at least up to the point where you can 4 or 5 star ⭐️ the general. Should be easily achievable with the General EXP books that we continuously get, or you can level up through some other means 👌Increasing the general’s level will make the cultivation easier.
Hi Aka why is it advisable to fully cultivate a PvP or SVS general before adding gear? What's the difference and advantage? And skill books should be placed afterwards as well? This part is not explained in the video? Thanks mate 👍😊
Cultivation is a very easy way to raise the buffs of your general, however, it is also very easy to neglect or forget this. Because of all these, I make sure that I fully cultivate all of my PvP generals before I start using them. This makes sure you get the maximum buffs from the general’s cultivation before you start using the general. I also advise people to complete their cultivation first 👌
im having a max out on duty gens when i try to cultivate them they reach a limit and will not go up anymore Aka? i tried putting gear on them is it a level up deal? like over 25?
Once the level is high enough for you to 5 star ⭐️ the general, then the cultivation cap will be at 500, like all other generals. It might be slow, but it will still move. If you haven’t already, add up to 5 stars ⭐️ on the general and cultivate. If you are using gold, then you will cap out at 300. Will need to use gems beyond that
Great video as always Aka and congratulations for your content. One quick question regaring pvp joining generals: do they also need cultivation? And if yes what? Thanks and please continue with your amazing videos.
Thank you 😊🙏 If you are referring to rally joining generals (for boss rallies), cultivation is not necessary, but it can help. You will cultivate Leadership to increase the general’s march speed. That will make it quicker returning from rallies 😉👌
Hello Aka, thanks for the video it is very helpful. I am strugling because of the negatives but now I understand more. Question, do you have or know a link for a list of Evony generals and their recommended duty? For example, which for PVP, rallies, gathering, etc. Thank you.
Hi 🙂👋 No I don’t, but you can generally tell that by looking at the general’s main skill. I do have a video on Duty Generals, if that’d be of any help. It’s a little old without the more recent updates, but it’s still relevant and covers most of what you need to know 🙂👌
Hmmm interesting 🤔 It can be a bit slow at that point, but you just have to grind through it. Is your general max starred ⭐️? What about the general’s level? Is it at the max?
Technically speaking, yes! Not in the same way that you can with x10 gems cultivation, but you can choose to focus the cultivations you accept if they increase the desired attribute(s). If they don’t, then you don’t accept them
I’ve noticed you start getting only negative numbers in the cultivation process and this is related to the level the General is at, I think. Does anyone have a link to an article that gives the tiers?
There are 2 things that would cause that to happen: 1. If you have a low star ⭐️ general; 2. If your cultivation stats are getting close to the same level as your base stats OR close to the maximum cultivation level or have exceeded the max level. Both situations are related to the general’s level and the number of stars the general has. So to help prevent this as much as possible, raise your general’s level as much as you can, or at least to Level 22. Next is to give the general as many stars ⭐️ as you can before cultivating or continuing to cultivate 👌
@@RedEvony My Martinus is 5 star, L23 and my Monarch is also L23. I’m at from 540 to 619 base across the 4 attributes and +311 to +315. You get those messages quite a bit the higher you cultivate. It’s a normal, but annoying thing. From the description you’ve given, I don’t see any clear issues that would be causing this. So try and grind it out a bit. It’ll cost you more gems 💎 than you’d like, but that’s normal. If there’s still a problem, let me know 👍
@@RedEvony Thank you Aka. I've also noticed that if the General jumps to the next level, the positive numbers start flowing again. Maybe I'll just wait for that...
Yes you can. But it’s recommended to raise the star level a bit before cultivating. Without that, you quickly reach a point where it gets more difficult to get good cultivations 👌
This might seem like a stupid question, but I have tried to select specific items to cultivate using "Select the results you want to save". The game just does them all randomly. Unless I am doing it incorrectly, the option of having a selection seems to be misleading. Please help me to understand how you would intentionally cultivate the things you want? It seems about as random as the new wheel ...
Using the x10 gems cultivation option, you can select which stats you want to focus on cultivating. Though the cultivation system is still random, this option will help you aggregate 10 independent cultivations and select the combination that best raises the stat you selected. So it might take a few tries, but it does work. 👌 In case you were doing it wrong, here’s a quick run through: Once you are on the x10 cultivation screen, you will have the option to select the stats you want. By default, it will be set to “Total Increase” - meaning to increase all stats without a specific focus. Below that you can select Leadership, Attack, Defense or Politics. You can select any of these or more than one, depending on what you want. After selecting, you need to make sure that the “Total Increase” is not selected. If it still is and you cultivate like that, it’ll mess everything up. To test this out, I suggest you pick just one stat and cultivate a few times to see if it’s coming out right 👌

Hi 👋 First thing - when it comes to cultivation, as the general’s stats get higher, you get that “cultivation x10 failed” message more often, so that’s kinda normal. One thing wasn't clear from this video: You say to do cultivation first, but the video shows high level generals. If I have a new level 1 general, is it better to cultivate first before leveling up the general, or after leveling up? Isn't cultivation less expensive at lower levels?
For you to be able to cultivate a general to the max level, you need to raise the general’s star level. Otherwise, the cultivation limit will be capped based on the general’s stats. Once you’ve raised the general’s star level to 4-5 stars ⭐️ (preferably 5), then you can cultivate to the max level of 500. But to be able to 5 star ⭐️ the general, you need to raise the general’s level to Lv22. So yeah, it’s technically not the very first thing you do, but I always recommend you complete the general’s cultivation first before you actually start using the general 👌 And yes, cultivation is less expensive at low levels of cultivation. A Wall general is a PvP general, so you need to cultivate all 4 stats 👌

Are u naij?
Nobody fully cultivates a general before putting gear on. That's the way it should be done, but it's never gonna happen just not practical... 👍
Perhaps not as critical for boss hunting, but for PvP, it is advisable to complete cultivation first.
For me, I never use a general for PvP until I have fully cultivated the general 👌
