  • Hi everyone and welcome back to the channel.
On this one im finally getting some real time on the Bossworth Hydraulic firewood log processor and let me tell you, this thing is going to be awesome on the woodyard now and will get through some firewood now. I have to give a massive shout out again to ‪@RSLEngineeringUK‬ who sorted this out for me and delivered the machine. Go check his channel out and see what Richard also does for many machines.
The processor can handle wood up to 480mm in diameter but that really does mean its the maximum size. The 6 way wedge is a great addition to the processor but id like to see if a 8 way and even 12 way wedge would be better and to see if the machine will have enough force to get through it.
The addition of the conveyor is also excellent, i love that the wood is split and sent up the conveyor and straight into the cages or bags. It now enables me to handle the firewood a lot less and thats a big change to the commercial side of things.
I have the perfect sized firewood down the woodyard and that will show off just how fast the processor can do its job.
As always leave a comment below or send me an email to nick.garton@hotmail.com
Thank you very much for watching as always.

I glad you just keep moving in a direction that makes you happy, keep up all you great work also for the bigger pieces, this Maxine is still a time and labor saver even if you had to resplit some of it on one of your other splitters thanks Nick take care

Thank you as always Evan, i appreciate your comments.
yes the bigger pieces can be caught and split again into smaller pieces but ive just gotta pick my wood now and i think that will be the key to efficient splitting.
Nothing compares to the kinetic splitter but im trying to reduce the amount of times handling the wood and i think this might just be the key to it.
      Thank you again buddy 👍

Thank you very much Jeff, the machine should just be the thing for the future. It sure will keep up with the demand of firewood.

This is going to make life much easier. Once you get into rhythm I think you'll be fine. I understand about the biggest splits but I think its going to be a big hit. Congrats my friend

hey Jerry buddy, yes this is going to make the firewood processing a breeze and will be quicker with all the process being all in one.
I will get there just like the splitters and ill soon be away with it. I think i have a solution for the larger splits but that will come soon enough 😆
Thank you as always good buddy 👍

Nice machine. Interested to see the speed when using greener material. Nice weather for it! Cheers Dave.

Hey Dave 👋 thank you buddy, yes on greener logs im sure it will be much much different. That spruce was tough and it exploded when i was splitting it. The macine held up great though.
Thanks again buddy, hope you are doing well 👍

Hi Nick - its Big Rodders in Ireland. Good luck with your new toy. The issue with all processors irrespective of capability or price point is that they work best with consistently sized logs and even then split sizes can vary, which necessitates resplitting. I only get Tree Service wood and I like small splits hence my preference for my trusty Thor electric vertical splitter. However, you get a lot of equipment for the money with the Bossworth.

Hey Nick, nice machine. Looks like it has an out feed issue or don’t you need to have someone clean out the splits? Once you work out the kinks and get a flow you’ll be rocking and rolling. Have a good one buddy.

Hey buddy and thanks for commenting. The outfeed conveyor was running good as far as i recall, maybe the tension needed adjusting. I need to install a debris cleaner on the end of the conveyor to clean out the rubbish for sure.
Yes i just need to use it more and more and im sure ill become very comfortable with the processor.
      Thanks again buddy 👍

These processors have their place and once you get the splits to the right size then you will fly... Will this be replacing the other new splitter ?

Hey buddy and thank you for commenting. I really dont know how i feel about the hydraulic splitter because of the operation of it. I just dont know if i can get away with it.
In short though, the processor will be a different beast for me, it will do all the job that i had to do individually and combine into one operation.
      Thank you again buddy 👍

@@everydaywithmenick I know what you mean.. I use an hydraulic oxdale splitter off the back of the tractor but want to move to a more conventional splitter so ill be watching closely how you go forward..
