I like salt water better also, but I don't want to have to pay $50k to replace the pool in ten years. Salt water pools have a very poor track record in Baja.
Loved the info on mini split maintenance. And, especially your thoughts on quality of the air vs central AC systems. I'll give you another reason to love mini splits. Just had my central AC go out. $12,000 to replace. Having a handful of mini splits in a house.....one goes out, you're not totally without AC until is replaced or repaired. 🙂
Another good point! Also you can choose to only cool areas you are using. WIth central AC you have to maintain a minimum airflow which means you usually have to cool the entire house.
Just watching the video now. We went up to Mexicali to get some supplies and check out our friends' new brewery. Back in Bahia Asuncion now. We don't have A/C or pools here. Are you going to check out the NORRA race this week?
Very cool place! Be glad you don't need A/C and there are no pools. It definitely saves you a lot of money. You have to have both to compete here in the vacation rental market. The NORRA race stops here overnight and we will definitely be checking it out.
When I owned my campground I converted my chlorine pool over to saltwater best decision I made for myself. The pool walls were stainless steel.

@@dooglassandesperanza yes just the sidewalls the campground was an old KOA it was unique and still in working order today.
