The top of the entrance, inside the tarp is the winding house at the top of the incline. It's not a shed, it's a bridge/tunnel with the workings/windings within. The carts pass below it and head into the dressing workshops behind, through another short tunnel.
They are fools going in there with sandals on and phone tourch they asking to get lost and in danger of death thanks for your support it goes along way 😀
@@exploringwithchris9433 yeah, absolutely. Don't go unprepared. Take a guide the first couple of times or head to Go Below for an instructor led tour of cwmorthin instead. This is a monument to the men who worked there, lost their lives and then the community when it closed. Big part of history and not a playground. (Although bloody amazing adventure). Be safe!
