Different geographic locations just have different types of scenery.
I have seen something like these woods+mountains on the northern end of the lake district if you go to the less tourist part, its slightly more dangerous but definitely worth it.
I live in the outskirts of Liverpool where it becomes more countryside and there are no shortages of deep countryside and beautiful spots, you have to just pack a ruck and go looking where you wouldnt expect.

When I was in cold weather training in norway, we had cold weather MREs and they all had Mountain house as there main meal, these were pretty banger, not only with taste but with digestion.
I remember the US Marines bringing these to Pyeongchang for cold weather training in Korea. We traded rations and I got to try a lot of these.

Oxide, from my experience with Cold Weather MREs (they use the MH packs) no matter how long you soak them they will still be dry or have powder somewhere.

You should get some QMAXX for your firearms while hiking. It does a great job, from keeping moisture off of your guns. I had it for a year now and when I was able to go hiking this summer. I was able to keep my guns rust and moisture free. I prefer the black diamond one because it’s able to last longer and for some reason it smells like blueberries, which is very pleasant. You can find it on amazon for around 15 to 16 dollars.
