The reason the Gallpeters map is really distorted when you drew it was because if you look at the earth at one side you don’t see the whole top unless you at the top. So that’s why russia and Greenland looks really distorted but in reality it’s correct.
Definitely agree on the size of the gall peters map, but there is a different one. I forgot its name, but it shows the true size without completely distorting the map, as how the Gall Peters map works.
