This is our last small break from our around the world 🌏 flights. We have two flights left in that journey, but the next leg is a 9 hour behemoth as we fly from Munich, Germany to Newark, New Jersey onboard a Lufthansa Airbus A340-600. And I do not want to post a super long video on a pretty rare aircraft like that on a Wednesday afternoon. So, today we’retaking a short hop on a United Airlines Boeing 737-800 from Chicago, Illinois to Omaha, Nebraska. Our around the world trip will continue this Saturday!
@@NovejSpeed3 I don’t know the exact reason. All I know is someone hit their call button, and when asked to hit it again if it was an emergency, they hit it again. So we aborted the first attempt… But then we just taxied right back and lined up again; so it obviously wasn’t an emergency 🤷🏻♂️. That’s the extended of what I heard.
22:45 that engine buzz always soothes me and it reminds me of the same plane from Denver airport to pittsburgh airport and from San Francisco Airport to Eugene Airport.
I used to live back in Chicago and would go planespotting at ORD every weekend. This truly brings me back; I actually remember flying this route a while ago to see some distant friends.
Man its so good seeing the return of the IFE seatback screens. Can't believe but so good to see United slowly closing the gap between themselves and Delta! I may actually fly with them again!
I actually prefer United over Delta already. Delta has really let a lot of their planes interiors go, and I’ve had a lot of maintenance delays on Delta. On the flip side, I haven’t had an issue with United all year.
@sla31 choose your next words wisely...... lol. No all jokes aside that is really shocking to hear because Delta has been the standard for so long. I wouldn't know last flight I took was on a old AA 737-800 in Sept....talk about tired cabin! Eeek
@@NovejSpeed3 😂. Oh don’t get me going on American. I actively avoid AA now and I spent all year switching my Oneworld loyalties from being Platinum on AA to MVP Gold on Alaska.
Great video, and I live on the outskirts of Omaha, and I occasionally fly United. United has nonstop between Omaha-San Francisco but it's seasonal but I'm wishing for them to make that flight year round eventually.
Welcome back Sir .. absolutely another spectacular beautiful shooting filming footage travel blog and rock it all again, loved the beautiful content video captured super sharp and clear, keep up a great work and your beautiful sharing adventure documentary as always beautiful sharing and I really appreciate and enjoy watching it, take care and stay safe my friend .. 1:09:46 yo thats my house. The thing I hate most about Eppley is its size. By looking at it, you would not think that it moves more than 5 million people a year, but it does, and those numbers are increasing every year. On the bright side, it is being expanded, but that day can’t come soon enough!
Great fly! I'm planning to drive to New York City so I can see a ball drop for New Year's Day in-person for the first time, but don't have the exact date yet. I'm not in the rush yet.
I just finished watching the 1975 movie Trilogy of Terror with Karen Black as the lead. Now, THERE'S a movie you should see. Well, anyhow, for some unknown reason, this video made me flash back to the days when I flew on a Boeing 707. Now, THOSE were some impressive planes to fly in. But when the oil shortages began in 1973, the airlines quickly phased them out and replaced them with 727s. I was in my teen years and I was already missing the 707s. But the military still has not retired them. They're too valuable. I've never been to Omaha at all and never been to Nebraska for that matter.Haven't been to South Dakota or Kansas for that matter either. And since you flew over Iowa, that's ANOTHER state that I haven't been to at all. Anyhow, time for me to watch today's episode of General Hospital. Sonny has better watch his back because there's a NEW mob boss in town who wants Sonny's territory. Sheesh! ALL of the mob bosses want Sonny's turf.
You know, I don't think I've seen that one. I'll have to add it to my list for the next trip I take when I have many hours of flying to watch stuff haha.
Hey Skylite, this might be a weird question considering you fly for a living, but do you ever feel anxiety or nerves in the airport, or while taxiing or taking off? I've been dealing with aerophobia all my life and it's particularly bad in the 48 hours leading into a flight until wheels are up. As soon as we're in the air to when we land, I'm good. I wonder what goes through your mind, if anything, when you're prepping for a flight.
Well, you're not the first person to ask me this. I get a lot of comments from people who have anxieties towards flying. Honestly, what's going through my mind leading up to a flight is... Do I have enough shows and movies downloaded to last through this flight haha. I have never had any anxieties towards flying. So, I can't really relate to what you feel. That said, I have known a lot of people who do, even including my wife. As much as I fly, it's crazy to think that I married someone who doesn't really like flying and gets really anxious before flights. So, what I always tell people is to remember that flying is extremely safe, and try to keep your mind occupied with something else ahead of time. A movie, TV shows, games etc. Also watch my videos haha. And that's not just me being funny. A lot of people have left comments on my videos saying they have greatly improved their pre-flight anxiety by watching my videos ahead of time. It seems to work for a lot of people.
@@sla31 I agree, i'm afraid too, the take off is the worst part for me, and this year i continually watched videos like yours, and i feel it helped me, i have a flight to amsterdam from geneva the 24 december, i feel more confident right now
I don’t know the exact reason. All I know is someone hit their call button right as we were entering the runway, and when asked to hit it again if it was an emergency, they hit it again. So we aborted the first attempt… But then we just taxied right back and lined up again; so it obviously wasn’t an emergency 🤷🏻♂. That’s the extended of what I heard.
One more full flight episode until 800 which will finally be that very long Lufthansa flight from Munich to Newark and even episode 801 to which should be the final around the world flight on United from Newark to Kansas City and we are even starting off the two 800 full flight episodes with Newark in them!
I don't know the exact reason. Someone hit their flight attendant call light right as we were lining up. The FA's did what they're supposed to and said "we cannot get up right now, if it's an emergency hit your call light again." And they did hit it again. Which meant we had to abort at that point. But then we taxied off and just got back in line again, so I honestly don't know what happened. Maybe it wasn't an emergency and the person who hit it accidentally hit it again when they went to turn it off. Regardless, that's why they aborted the first attempt.

My favorite top 11 US airlines and their rakings: 1. Delta (world’s best U.S Airline overall) 2. JetBlue (world’s best U.S low cost carrier) 3. United (Best Cheap U.S Full Service Carrier) 4. American (best hub and catering) 5. Frontier (good airline, but I wish it had better service) 6. Spirit (best U.S low cost carrier, but I wish it had better seats and service) 7. Alaska (Ok airline, wish it kept its airbus aircraft and have better catering) 8. Hawaiian (Ok airline, but I does need some better customer service) 9. Avelo (ok customer service, but filthy plane) 10. Sun Country (worst service but best experience 11. Southwest (worst out of all of them, I would regret flying with them)

Where would you go to spot? Security around the field now is pretty tough.
Yeah it is, I would typically stop by roads but sometimes they'd have spots open
