I wish this was the actual season!! Heidi getting the recognition she deserved would’ve been a great moment, and Kasha getting a win would’ve been amazing too!! This was one of the most interesting unrigging videos thus far for me. I can’t wait for the next one!!
I really don’t think Heidi would quit had she won the ball (as she should’ve). Sure maybe the Kahanna drama would still have gotten to her but she probably would still have enough determination in her to stay (in any case she probably would’ve quit next episode if Kahanna’s elimination had gotten to her). Also I think the first episodes should’ve had a bottom 3 instead, at least the first 2, in order to give queens more options (but Jaymes would probably gone home ep1 and Monica ep 2 either way)
I think you ignored one important thing about Kasha "acting defeated". First off, she said on Roscoe's that they cut it like this so it would look like she was feeling defeated, and second off, would she still "act defeated" after just winning a challenge? You're not factoring in everything.
It shouldve been ×1.2, ×1.3 and ×1.5. What they did was just unfair to the others and we all knew instantly that lala won. This way theres at least a sense of disbelief that theres competition while still giving her the advantage. If lala wins the ×1.3 shed probably still win but itll be a close call with jessica

it can be considered good drag, just not on a platform/competition like drag race. theres certain expectations to be had. like on s15, marcia x3s outfits are completely valid drag, just not for the drag race format. and i think this applies to the billie eilish look.

I would agree except Jaymes did really well in that role and still got put in the bottom - I don't think Darienne could do anything to improve upon what Jaymes did since there's nowhere else to really bring it, so the one advantage she has is her runway being way better. I guess since this is unrigged and Jaymes didn't deserve to be in the bottom you could make that argument? I don't know.
It took seeing other people break down the look for me to appreciate what I was looking at. I don't know HOW I didn't realize she was dressed as a jock strap but I didn't realize it so I was really confused. Once I saw Raja and Kerri gushing over it, it clicked and I felt dumb
I'm noticing a trend this year where the winners are all getting pushed really hard and it's boring to watch because a winner storyline is so much more compelling when they actually have competition track record wise
I think my issue with drag race at the moment, is I feel like we have have 3 seasons in a row now where I knew who was going to win just from the cast announcement! Of course Jinkx was going to win, of course Sasha was going to win and of course Jimbo wasn’t coming back for a 3rd time to a traditionally American cast season, not to win
I honestly think that Alexis should have won the rusical over Kandy and Lala because she had the most difficult choreography and the hardest song, And she sounded the best (in my opinion). Also, to me, she had the best runway by far. Though I think that Lala would still have saved Kandy over Alexis though because they are such close friends.
The decision to send kasha home felt weird to me, yes she acted that way in the episode but coming of a win she would be way different and I dont think that cast would send a episode winner home in episode 3.
In my opinion, Jessica deserved that roast win. Jimbo used a character we had already seen her play, while it may have been funny, it was quite easy since jimbo’s joan rivers is hilarious but i was bored how jimbo used a character she already played. The circle on Mrs. Kasha's dress is the handle of a ceramic cream pitcher. The flat side is the spout. That's what makes it cream, and then her expression makes it "sour cream." Maybe if she had made the motion of pouring herself sideways, or had some fringe on the one shoulder to show the liquid pouring out it would have been more obvious.
Kasha is supposed to be a small creamer jar. The circle is the handle that you use to lift the jar with your index and thumb. The peak on the other shoulder is where the creamer pours out. However sour cream is thicker and not used in this type of jars, so I assume Kasha is just milk that got bad. That's why she's angry😅
but let's be honest, Heidi probably wouldn't have left if she won the ball. Cause despite the fight with kandy, she mostly just did not felt any recognition from the placements, which I agree with. They tried to produce storylines and redemption arcs too much while ignoring the reality. One of the worst as seasons imo

I think Kahanna in the Improv challenge is a great example of a queen needing to be the next to go, even if they weren't the worst. I personally didn't think Kahanna did well enough to justify her being safe over Kandy and Alexis with how they had been performing up until that point
Jimbo, Jessica, and Kahanna were my sentimental faves this season so I'm glad Kahanna had a better track record than her original, Jimbo still have 4 wins, and Jessica has the Jackie Cox/Eva Le Queen track record.
I was so happy to see Jessica, Kasha, and Darienne back and the way the season ignored Kasha and Darienne made me really upset. I hope this season makes way for more alliances in drag race all stars seasons because the only other one I can remember is the Alaska, Detox and Roxxxy alliance

I really don’t agree that Heidi would have quit in this scenario. I totally get what you mean about respecting her choice and not speculating and ‘imagining’ if she didn’t quit, but the thing is it’s quite obvious that it was her being overlooked that played a huge factor (and I get that. I understand her frustration and eventual decision). That, plus the whole Kandy/Jimbo/Alexis situation, all culminated into that. We literally saw that.
I think the whole drama with Kandy, Jimbo, and Alexis had her worried that it was going to be another AS5 situation where the rest of the cast isn't sure if they can trust her, like what happened to Alexis Mateo. As sad as I was that she left I can understand bowing out in that kind of situation. Her "Ass the World Turns" looks is still one of my favorites of all time
Honestly based on performances and the tea we’ve heard, the bottom 2 on Snatch Game would have been Kahanna and Heidi, and I can see all of the queens voting Heidi out if she were to stay for the critiques anyway. They would have respected her wishes to send her home and I can see her choosing her own lipstick like Ongina and Mayhem did.
i agree with the video but i honestly wouldn't even want to give it thought. this season was going to be underwhelming considering (a) WOW decided to stick to AS5 and AS6 LSA format and (b) the winner was obvious from the start.
I think Jimbo’s ball look is underrated. People say it’s just stuff glued to a corset but how else would you make a look using unconventional materials like that? It was a conscious decision by a competent designer and probably the most ambitious concept. Also the only look that understood the assignment. “Supermarket Ball.”
The queens were vocal in roscoes and social media about Jaymes wanting to quit and we're pissed she was on the top ep1, so they eliminated her over Kahanna in the rusical. They didn't like her attitude.

Season 15 and AS8 weirdly have the same energy. Everyone knew Jimbo and Sasha Colby would win their seasons the second they were cast, so both seasons I was rooting for second place. By the time the seasons were ending I was just excited to see who would be next to the winner.
Everyone’s saying the circle on Kasha’s dress is a gravy boat handle but no one puts sour cream in those, that makes no sense. When you buy squeeze sour cream it has a white, circular safety seal to take so that’s what the circle is
Kasha’s sour cream look: it literally looks like one of those containers u use to pour sauce. The circle is the holder and the other part is where you pour from.
Someone please send this to the producers. All Stars 8 would have been so much better... And something you didn't mention was how cool the storyline would be with Jimbo/Kandy saving each other back to back and ending up being the Top 2. It'd be the real Survivor of drag.
Kasha’s sour cream look is so readable to me - there’s clearly a handle and spout on the shoulders. The should probably have been bigger, but I loved the look and she sold the heck out of it.
My only gripe is that in ep 1, if going by points, Jimbo would have been in a high placement with Jessica, not Alexis. If going by your own scoring system, she was tied in points on that episode with Jess, and Kahanna still winning. I love these videos.
Thank you for this video. It felt like a very natural win for Jimbo rather than a heavily produced win for Jimbo. It also would have flowed a lot better and probably avoided making Alexis Michelle and Kandy Muse Villains and get so much hate from the fans. Spreading out the wins like you did throughout the season would have made this season on par to All stars 6. Which imo was the best all stars that felt like an actual competition.

The "circles" on Kasha's sour cream runway are the removable safety tab from the squeezable sour creams. You don't usually see these on the tubs. Look is still a boot..
The circle on Kasha’s legend dairy shoulders is supposed to be the handle of a cream pitcher, with the pointed shoulder being the spout. In olden days cream was served in a pitcher alongside coffee, so with her “sour” facial expressions that’s how she arrived to sour cream. The joke is there, she just missed the execution.
Kasha’s white look in the ball was basically a gravy boat…I sorta saw it but like how do you show sour cream without a face? Oooh imagine green rhinestones for chives!
I get people being upset that Jessica did not get any wins here because she is very talented, loveable and is naturally a fan favorite. But let’s be honest with ourselves - she was not robbed of any wins in the actual show and the supermarket ball could have easily also gone to (and probably should have) Heidi. We’re comparing a complete, beautiful gown to a very nicely decorated corset.

I think Monica going home first is correct is was so energy and all of her runways for the fame games, showed that she didn’t have very elevated looks and her talent show. Performance was also low energy.

I really don’t agree that Heidi would have quit in this scenario. I totally get what you mean about respecting her choice and not speculating and ‘imagining’ if she didn’t quit, but the thing is it’s quite obvious that it was her being overlooked that played a huge factor (and I get that. I understand her frustration and eventual decision). That, plus the whole Kandy/Jimbo/Alexis situation, all culminated into that. We literally saw that.
I think the whole drama with Kandy, Jimbo, and Alexis had her worried that it was going to be another AS5 situation where the rest of the cast isn't sure if they can trust her, like what happened to Alexis Mateo. As sad as I was that she left I can understand bowing out in that kind of situation. Her "Ass the World Turns" looks is still one of my favorites of all time
Honestly based on performances and the tea we’ve heard, the bottom 2 on Snatch Game would have been Kahanna and Heidi, and I can see all of the queens voting Heidi out if she were to stay for the critiques anyway. They would have respected her wishes to send her home and I can see her choosing her own lipstick like Ongina and Mayhem did.

i agree with the video but i honestly wouldn't even want to give it thought. this season was going to be underwhelming considering (a) WOW decided to stick to AS5 and AS6 LSA format and (b) the winner was obvious from the start.
I think Jimbo’s ball look is underrated. People say it’s just stuff glued to a corset but how else would you make a look using unconventional materials like that? It was a conscious decision by a competent designer and probably the most ambitious concept. Also the only look that understood the assignment. “Supermarket Ball.”
I’d say heidi had the most ambitious idea tho. Jimbo just made an intricate pattern using the objects and put them on a corset

The queens were vocal in roscoes and social media about Jaymes wanting to quit and we're pissed she was on the top ep1, so they eliminated her over Kahanna in the rusical. They didn't like her attitude.

Season 15 and AS8 weirdly have the same energy. Everyone knew Jimbo and Sasha Colby would win their seasons the second they were cast, so both seasons I was rooting for second place. By the time the seasons were ending I was just excited to see who would be next to the winner.

My only gripe is that in ep 1, if going by points, Jimbo would have been in a high placement with Jessica, not Alexis.
If going by your own scoring system, she was tied in points on that episode with Jess, and Kahanna still winning.

Thank you for this video. It felt like a very natural win for Jimbo rather than a heavily produced win for Jimbo. It also would have flowed a lot better and probably avoided making Alexis Michelle and Kandy Muse Villains and get so much hate from the fans. Spreading out the wins like you did throughout the season would have made this season on par to All stars 6. Which imo was the best all stars that felt like an actual competition.
Have you ever thought about doing videos that include both the riggory and unrigging? Idk if anyone else would prefer that (and they’d be hella long). I’ve noticed you reference the companion videos a lot and thought maybe a combination would be nice?

The "circles" on Kasha's sour cream runway are the removable safety tab from the squeezable sour creams. You don't usually see these on the tubs. Look is still a boot..
The circle on Kasha’s legend dairy shoulders is supposed to be the handle of a cream pitcher, with the pointed shoulder being the spout. In olden days cream was served in a pitcher alongside coffee, so with her “sour” facial expressions that’s how she arrived to sour cream. The joke is there, she just missed the execution.

I get people being upset that Jessica did not get any wins here because she is very talented, loveable and is naturally a fan favorite.
But let’s be honest with ourselves - she was not robbed of any wins in the actual show and the supermarket ball could have easily also gone to (and probably should have) Heidi. We’re comparing a complete, beautiful gown to a very nicely decorated corset.
I love kasha’s outfit from the waist up and runways barely matter. She definitely deserved at least a top placement. Also the sour cream is supposed to be the cream pitcher. Like I’m a tea set. lol doesn’t really work but like you said “cute”.🤣

I think Monica going home first is correct is was so energy and all of her runways for the fame games, showed that she didn’t have very elevated looks and her talent show. Performance was also low energy.

I think for Kasha's Sour Cream look, the things on her shoulders are suppose to represent the ends of a gravy boat, the thing you use to serve like gravy. The circle is suppose to be the handle and the other end is the spout where the gravy, or in this case sour cream, comes out.
