I stopped for a rest. Beautiful evening so I was relaxing and listening to the birdsong. For some reason a strong feeling of foreboding came over me. There was no reason for it, it just happened. I turned round and went home. Weeks later, I still had that feeling and up until recently every so often that feeling returned. Now I know why and what it meant.
That said, earlier tonight I felt there'd been a change for the better, something we yet don't know about but I think things are going to change again very soon and this malais will be gone (and by malais, I'm sure you can work out what and who it means).

When the government fears the people it becomes even more tyrannical and that is what is happening now.

The lady making the post, deleted it quite quickly when she realised she'd gone too far. Made no difference - because Starmer's Stasi are looking to make examples of people and send a message to us.

It's having the opposite effect. Every day the Home Office posts on their X account how many more people have been charged and/or imprisoned. And every day they get hundreds and thousands of replies, none of which are remotely supportive or in agreement.

Those charged were simple people (and I don't mean thick), who were overawed by the courtroom and probably listened to their (state appointed) counsel who advised they plead guilty. They probably thought, and maybe even the counsel did, that they would be treated fairly if they went along with this. They were very wrong.
My worry is if there is another incident that makes people kick off, will they say "Oh well, in for a penny.." knowing of this sentencing and decide to cause *serious* damage?

The sad thing is that the people in our countries in the UK, have been forgotten.
They have basically said that in the wars where so many people died in the belief and defence of what we are.
Feel proud of what we are.
Feel proud of being cannon fodder for nothing.
Starmer has no other thing other than the agenda and his own ego.
    Jackboot Starmer.
    The shame of Britain.

Senior lawyer here. Yes the law is a construct as Katie says from beginning to end dependent inter alia (!) on society beliefs, judicial prejudice, intellect , personality, empathy and pure lack of knowledge of subject matter of law eg family “law” (there isn’t any in 95% of all cases). Lawyers are some of the biggest cowards you’d meet
