Love Qantas. Had the pleasure of flying with their 747 and A380 amazing amenities, great staff actually comfortable and big seats in economy. and the A380 had this cool bar section where anyone can walk up to and get a snack or drink free of charge completely self serve too which was nice

I flew LHR-SIN-SYD many years ago on QF 747-400s. Great airline, amazing service and of course the 747!

Hi Josh great video again . I ve flown on these old birds many a time between Auckland and Brisbane , Sydney and once from Auckland to Buenos Aires and also Bueno Aires to Sydney which were polar flights as well. Also done the old Lax to Akl back in 2004 and the old LHR to SIngapore in 2003 they were always great flights and good service . Its sad to see the jumbos go. Thanx again for the excellent video as it brings back wonderful memories. 😊😊😊
Nice to see a review on 3 levels of QF operations, international, domestic mainline and QantasLink.
The 747 you were one would have been one of our two 4 class 747's .. all the others have been reconfigured to 3 class ( J, W & Y ) and have larger IFE screens.

Hey Josh, I used to work for Air New Zealand as DSM out of their El Segundo offices by LAX. That was 25 years ago. I’d LOVE to see some sort of current comparison review of NZ and QF! I must admit, the QF soft product seems vastly improved from my day.

Wieder ein toller review vor allem von der B747👍🏼ich bin 6 mal mit der B747 nach Mexico aber habe nicht einmal ein FR gemacht 🤦♂️aber der zweite Teil also A330 war auch nice. So ein A330 flug ist immer nice.

Did you have to use points for the upgrade? Ive done those before with a complimentry upgrade without using points as iim Platinum wi th them and got the basic food. I changed to Virgin after that experience.
You got one of Qantas Older Older Boeing 747. That plane has First class seats (But not sold as That.) And angled lie flat Business class.

Nicely done, I just had a flight on Qantas from SYD to MEL on the A330 in economy, when I walked past the Business class it seemed very crowed and "stuffed" into the area. Economy wasn't much better, but the A330 is better than Qantas' 737s seat pitch. (need a can opener to get into and out of those seats in economy)... As you experienced that QantasLink has better seats and service in my opinion.
Hope you could try EVA Air someday!

7+ hours sleep in the back of the bus, dude deserves a medal!
I spent 14 hours in there, from Sydney to LA :(. Luckily after when we went back to Sydney I was in Business Class, and my 4 hour flight to New York was in business.

How did you get upgraded to Business Class?
This isn’t a true domestic experience.
It’s mostly used on MEL/BNE/SYD to Perth. Or to Asia.
The vast majority of domestic flights are classic 737/320 style recliners.
If Tasmania isn’t domestic , I have no idea what is .

Yeah that one was the worst bit. No actually the drive from Launceston to Devonport was the worst bit after 24 hours of travelling...
Why didn't you fly direct to Devonport instead of Launceston?

Suuuper! 3 reports in compact 15 minutes. Great! Others would have made a 30 minutes report allone with the first flight😂. Didn't you find the economy meals on JNB to SYD to be a little stingy?

I've done that Joburg > Sydney flight on QF a few times, I can't wait till they replace the 747 with the newer planes, the business seats are not comfy at all ... the only redeeming factor is the great service.
Well, they do offer as much free booze as you want.

I think the Qantas flight from Sydney to Santiago flies a very southerly route as well.

Crap... It's a 3 class lay-out. I fly Qantas very regularly from SYD to JNB and always in Business...seat 3A. They definitely do not have First Class on QF63/QF64!!

11hr from JNB to SYD - SYD to MEL - running my lungs out to get my flight to Launceston and from there I had to drive 2 hours to my mates place. I was indeed pretty tired haha
