A quick video of a idea I finally got around to doing i got some 2 part resin and dipped my cheap ebay jigs in resin hoping to increase shine and durability. www.amazon.com/dp/B000LNS9CW/...
Late update to get the airbubbles out use a torch lighter and it worked much better long term than I thought they hold up on the rocks and toothy fish didn't even phase them!
Nice video, I would like to see a follow up. I am curious to know how these jigs held up against blue fish and rocks. Did the epoxy peel with the paint? Any yellowing?
@@KennethLondon-ft9gw Tough break. Thanks for the reply. I found this video when searching for a way to protect some vertical slow pitch jigs that get banged up easily. Even the high quality ones get dinged up when jigging hard bottom or by toothy fish. I thought epoxy might be a solution but will keep looking. Thanks again.
@@jimmyrosario6567 they are ok on the boat but most my Jigging was off a pier and I ordered so many of those 20 and 30 gram jigs it's almost like Amazon ran out between chipping and toothy fish break offs I lost a bunch
wow man looks great. been thinking about doing the same for months
Thanks I didn't even rename the video yet ! I was gonna take it down and do the voice over. Thank you for the view.
@@KennethLondon-ft9gw you got quality fishing advice. Love my slosh30 thanks to you
Very nice, thank you for the info... I was just looking into pouring my own Epoxy like jigs.

@@KennethLondon-ft9gw That's awesome, I need something strong to hold up.

NO yellowing but no matter what they chipped when a 3lb porgy come flying over the pier so it was a good idea that went south LOL
