I don’t get the hate for stroll. As if anyone hating wouldn’t want the same thing if their dad was a billionaire. He isn’t a front runner necessarily but he isn’t trash. He has talent and has shown it often.
Many people dislike Stroll because of his behaviour on the grid. He makes stupid mistakes like taking other drivers out mid race, but has the nerve to not own up to his mistakes and often blames other drivers. Also, everyone knows any driver with his level of results against his team mate would be gone two seasons ago if it wasn't for his dad's money keeping him in the sport.
Because he's a spoiled brat, a driver who doesn't deserve to be on the grid, occupying a seat because of his father's wealth, and if that's not enough, that shit-eating grin is nauseating.
Stroll is the epitome of the paid driver issue in F1. If his daddy didn’t own the team, he would have never left racing point. He would have dropped from the grid 3-5 years ago for a more talented and skilled driver. Instead, we’re stuck with Lance Stroll hogging an F1 seat that he isn’t talented, skilled, or grateful enough for.

To say he’s ungrateful, not talented, or skilled enough is frankly just based fan hate commentary. You couldn’t back any of those comments up with facts, be honest. Maybe you don’t remember the grit and skill he showed last season when he competed only days after breaking both of his wrists while training? And he actually performed really well considering the average keyboard warrior wouldn’t show up for their desk job for a month after suffering a horrible injury like he did. That said, I don’t disagree in that he likely wouldn’t still be in F1 without pops, but he made it to F1 on merit and with the financial support just like the many dozens or more of current and former drivers in F1. Checo, Yuki, Gho @ Sauber, Ricciardo, etc are only on grid for their financial benefits thru family, sponsors, etc. Checo in any car but the RedBull’s is likely a back marker and is barely getting it done in the best car, imagine what Sainz or Lewis or just about any of the top 10 could do in that car (last 2 years) and if he didn’t have big financial contributions he wouldn’t have been resigned most likely. Yuki is stepping up this year but by your measuring stick his Honda money shouldn’t have kept him in the car past last year over Liam. And Gho brings big China money and is WORSE than Stroll in terms of performance and results. Hell, what does Hulkenberg bring to a team to be back in F1? I think nothing, but he’s been a consistent road block for over a decade. Stroll has outperformed Alonso on multiple occasions in equal machinery so you must believe the two time world champion is also unskilled and is taking up a valuable seat while lacking talent?Point is, you can make a case for many drivers who shouldn’t be driving and are really not that much better than Stroll but I think people just want to be haters cause the dude isn’t a fake bullshitter kissing the medias ass and just faking it like the others are forced to do. I actually appreciate the fact that he wears his emotions on his sleeve and doesn’t pretend to be anything but himself. F1 is a rich mans sport. Hell, you don’t get to F1 without being funded MILLIONS to rent / drive / race in F4, F3, and F2. As well as every level below and adjacent. Frankly, I think what the stroll’s did is legit. They made Racing Point far more professional when Stroll went and also bought AM the brand. When theres only 20 seats in the series but hundreds of perfectly capable talents to drive, you either get lucky thru being a star junior (which lance was, he was a Ferrari jr if I recall correctly), you get your rich family to pony up, or you get in thru bringing the backing of a major contributor… or you pull the ultimate power play and just buy the whole damn team if you’re a real baller. Lawrence Stroll should be commended for his contributions to F1 on behalf of loving and supporting his son’s dreams. And as long as Lance is beating drivers on the track no one should really complain. Especially when there are worse drivers on grid.

Is out driving the muppets in a comment section a good standard for taking up an F1 seat? There are drivers that can out drive him, but don’t have a seat. He’s not there because of skill. Without his dad’s money he doesn’t make it to F1, let alone still be there.
