This not Mongolian cuisine, however we put our own spin on things. A real Mongolian food is boiled meat or roasted meat and the dairy based snacks...that’s it. Many of the dishes shown on this channel have been imported from our neighbours over many years. If you visit a real Mongolian nomad in the middle of nowhere you will not even see black pepper for seasoning.

This is so fascinating to watch. They live and work in what we in the Western world see as "old-fashioned," but to them, it is their normal everyday life. They're probably happier with fewer luxuries than most people in the Western world as well. I love learning about different cultures!
Reading stories about them in history they are just as strong and vital as the fighting men. All the hardships they have to endure in extreme conditions. Crazy to think about but much respect to the backbone of the families.
They are the backbone of the Mongolian family. Back in Chinggis Khaan's days, women were allowed to own property, divorce their husbands and even served as political leaders and priestesses. If they wanted to fight and protect their country, they could. They weren't abandoned to their luck in case rivals appeared. They were taught to defend themselves and were educated.
Women are the backbone of every family & nation! We are the glue that holds it all together! I guess I could make some snarky feminist comments also: you men would still be uncivilized if not for us women! Oh, I could really have fun with automotive issues & "waiting for some man to do it."

The way she cooked the noodles was really interesting. It makes sense though considering the minimal space and small stove, very ingenious. I live in an apartment so cooking my noodles that way would definitely save time with the cooking and subsequent washing. It would also save on water. 🙂
