I haven’t watched the episode but because I studied immunology while watching this clip I was wondering why an eosinophil is fighting off germs 😂 when it’s supposed to kill parasites then it was showed in the end ...wow this anime sure is accurate~

yes they take it very carefully, which I think is correct ^^
One question that I have about eosinophils, is that how do they actually fight off parasites or pathogens(and cancer cells), My guess is similar to natural killer cells, that they poke holes into the cells of the parasitic worm, It often takes thousands of pokes or eosinophils to kill an average parasitic worm or protozoan, And it actually parasitic protozoans that are actually scarier, not parasitic worms, For example protozoans can reproduce asexually much faster than parasitic worms, which makes them much more dangerous and contagious, And many of them can even fight off many immune cells(including eosinophils)by ether ripping them apart or by poking holes out of them, or even by going inside them and replicate rapidly and quietly, until the immune cell gets crowded and bursts hundreds of new parasites to repeat the cycle exponentially, I’m talking about leishmaniasis, I felt bad for macrophages(which were use as an example of immune cell infected by protozoan parasites)because they aways have to face pathogens that infect them for food, and in the end the macrophage burst out more pathogens that hunt for new victims, the cycle then repeats.
Hello. To answer your question, eosinophils release granules. These granules contain chemicals that damage the parasites by literally dissolving them. These also cause an inflammatory reaction causing symptoms such as fever, pain, etc. They don’t consume their enemies unlike neutrophils or macrophages since parasites are generally large.
Uhgene Ignorian They appear in the spin-off Cells at Work BLACK!, which takes place in a body that suffers from stress, smokes and drinks alcohol regularly, so pretty much all the cells there work in a "BLACK" environment

The red blood cell never disappointing us
Anasakis worms are the weakest parasite. They end up burrowing into the stomach lining, get stuck, and die. That causes the problems.
You need another i
Highlight for me was the Basophil with the badass voice from Tomokazu Sugita
Ryder_NFL the same voice actor as gintoki from gintama
Or Yoshikage Kira
Watching recordings of eosinophils swarming parasitic worms under a microscope is amazing. Little guys just going at the big invaders.
I had to check this because my medical results showed elevated eosonophil 😑
“ARE YOU CRAZY?! DID YOU SEE THAT THING!?”
