To work as an uber-rich man's toy it will need to have retractable wings as it appears too wide for towing on public roads. At $200k you'll get bored pretty quick if you can only fly it from your own property. I've watched them test it for the past year at my airport, makes a lot of noise and looks goofy.
You have to be rich enough to have $200k to spend on this but live in an area that is not near an airport and is in a class G area and also only want to go 10 miles if you want to return or 20 miles if it is a 1 way flight. 200 pound limit on weight means you can only go by yourself but that is fine as buyers of this toy would probably not have wives letting them spend that much on a transport method to get to their mistresses. Someone too rich would just get a helicopter and be done with it. Very specific person in mind as their customer base.
@@matthewp5472 but once you have a helicopter you can fly anywhere, with this you are stuck in small areas away from people and can only go short distances. It would need the same basic controls that a helicopter has but it is probably a bit more responsive.
@@Martian74 There is a significant investment in time and cost to get a helicopter pilot's license, and many people would be incapable even if they wanted to. On top of this, there is a significant maintenance cost for a helicopter.
Only less than a quarter of a million? For that amazing rocking chair on wings? Wow! Pivotal is taking “let’s not buy that” to new levels. Literally the worst company ever.
Like all startups, these guys lied about the eventual price. From costing as much as an SUV to $190,000, it's now just an impractical toy for rich people. What we need is a flying equivalent of a Model-T for the common man.
I don't want to own it. I want to call it with my cell phone when i need it and when i don't need it it goes away. Owning and storing transportation at your home is ridiculous.
Is this satire?? The joke flying contraptions of the Red Bull Flugtag are looking way more professional! C'mon, guys, 'fess up: you wanted to fool the stupid eVTOL fanboys! Well you sure did!
Taking range anxiety to new heights 😅
Wait... only a 20 mile range? Get outta here!
That price varied real quick! The first videos ever produced was saying starting price's was at $45,000. Now at $190,000 for 20 mile flight.
Add small turbine engines and a couple gallons of fuel. No more range Problem
20 mile range????? Not happening man for 40K
With solid state batteries coming out in production volumes next year this aircraft could be revolutionary! Where do I sign up?
Its useless with only a 20 mile range. And a combustion engine and increase it.

$200k for 20miles? Cool concept but no. Gotta get that range up!
is there a parachute? 40 mile range would be necessary imo

if it's easier to fly than a helicopter that could make a difference

Its clearly purely for recreation. Its seems like a product you can just get in and fly away after some short training.

LOWER COST? COMPARED TO WHAT? HOW LONG WILL THE BATTERY ... LAST? AND HOW MUCH TO BUY?
How long before someone flies one into power lines?
Who would want to spend 200k on a toy that get scratched on every use?
Me with $500 in bank: I need time to consider

Waiting for better and cheaper Chinese version. 😊😊😊
Congrats you made a helicopter
You could take a few days training and jump in and fly this. Not so for a helicopter.
20 miles. Is it an electric scooter ?
In development for 10 years means he was working secretly for the pentagon 🙄
If you can’t fly over cities it’s useless. This would help with traffic congestion. No need for it unless I can go from city to city
I love this idea and concept. A couple of years ago, it was announced that they would be priced similar to an SUV. Is that how much new SUVs cost?
Very good !
Now we have to start worrying about someone crash landing their flying car on our rooftop
😂
Какая скорость?
It can be mine for less than 200k and a few years of waiting.
Looks like entering in a flat spin any moment...

Too bad we can’t sell short this company’s shares. What a stupid idea!
Should have been cheaper!

Current 200 pound weight limit is too low for Americans!😁
If you give me 50k i make one similar in my house and chinese parts
❤❤❤
It flies but it's not a car.
Congrats you a helicopter that fly only 20 miles.... This is only an ugly expensive toy....
hurry up...my car budget is 30-60k. do better
20 miles? Pass
太帅了
20 miles means almost nothing
❤❤tes

Blackfly
Another one that will fail.
Wow, a ripoff of the Blackfly
Same company! Production model.
