Correct, the Spirit unit sound file was somehow accidentally loaded into the YN3 units. The NS units have the correct sound file with the K5HL and flashing ditch lights which also is right for the YN3s.
Very nice engine, I love esu decoders and sound. I need to add me a scale trains locomotive. Got me wondering If i can change horns on my nscale esu decoders. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, the reason I make these videos is to help my fellow modelers
Sweet showcase! It's crazy how much of a difference changing the horn does for realism
Good demo. Nice sound!
The RS5T was probably set as default for CSX because of the funny trio

That sounds more like 'lets just order all decoders for CSX with that as default to save costs' rather than 'accidentally'
I use the first K5HL for my CR heritage unit. But that second K5HL is great for a CSX unit. The second one seems to be a new addition to Esu
The second K5HL is exclusive to the SXT ES44. The first K5HL comes with standard ESU files. Is your NS 8098 an upgraded Intermountain?
@@CentralJerseyRailfan yeah that’s what I noticed on some of my SXT engines
@@CentralJerseyRailfan it is Broadway limited with upgraded with esu
Awesome sounds!
2:29 trinity railway express bell
Is that a New feature that scale trains came up with?
No
@@CentralJerseyRailfan oh okay the horn sounds defrint
Nice!

How do you change the horns and bells?
the CVs you need to change for the horns and bells are in the description, your DCC system must be also capable of doing so
@@CentralJerseyRailfan cool, I'm starting my layout next year, I'll be using nce power cab starter.
Pretty nice
