Судя по останкам техники вокруг построек , а это была именно сельскохозяйственная техника, так как я заметила остатки веялки - это приспособление для переворачивания сена и травы. В сарае много старых инструментов, похожих на те, которыми пользовались в деревне в середине 20 века. Прялка так же использовалась в деревнях. Поэтому скорее всего это был хутор, какие часто встречались в Европе. Да и сейчас тоже есть похожие. Судя по всему на хуторе жила семья, которая состояла из трёх поколений. Семья занималась сельским хозяйством когда то очень давно. Затем часть семьи переехала ближе к цивилизации и на хуторе остались только старики до 2007 года. Природа с тех пор быстро освоила прилегающую территорию и теперь даже и не скажешь, что рядом с хутором были поля.
I know nothing about the Swedish countryside, but that looks like an old farmstead to me. Some of the old farm equipment is still there and the building you couldn’t get in was probably a small barn. One thing is certain, no hunter decorated those cottages. That was definitely a ladies touch. Somehow, I don’t see a hunter carrying in those sofas, or those lace curtains, or that beautiful hanging light fixture to decorate his hunting lodge with.🤗🐝❤️
Wondeful video❤ the first house, That's not a hunters cabin, its has been a home for a living family. A very typical old Swedish house when people lived more out in the countryside/forest. Before everyone moved to the cities. A beautiful little "farm" ! Thanks for another great video❤

The camper could have been used by hunters, but the linens alone, to me, rule out these buildings being hunters lodges. I felt a loving family had lived here and the farm equipment bears that out too.
Yes, there was farm equipment and evidence of horses at least, though they probably had cows too. I wondered if that locked middle section was for livestock. They probably cleared the forest themselves there for grazing and maybe crops? Fascinating and beautiful.
@@carolinetheta Yes it looks to me it was in the 1960 around there was living a family there yes there was one or two hourses the machines definitely out in the 1950 I grown up 1952 Farmer was using this machines in east Germany.

it amazes me that the people in other countries respect things so much. What makes the young people in America' so destructive and show no respect for things that they do not own is disgusting. If those homes were in the USA they would be vandalized beyond repair. Nice to see there are still some young people like these explorers that show respect and appreciation for history.

You make everything so exciting. The first house you thought was for hunters I wonder. They had lovely white lace covering over chairs chair. Perhaps someone rented these out as holiday day cottages. In the 1940s my dad and I used to stay in a hut in Te Anau NZ. It had two bunks and a coal range. A small table and two chairs. It was enclosed in bushes of Manuka and the toilet was a long drop down the back. It is a big town there now. I have stayed in the Ritz Hotel In Paris. Given a choice I would go back and stay in my hut. Thank you. 😊
It looks pretty clean...limited insects even. With easily opened doors and such, the lack of animal and insect activity in the house and a general lack of dust make me think it isn't abandoned. Perhaps it is used for vacations or hunting. There may be a family in Sweden seeing this and exclaiming, "Hey! Isn't that OUR cabin? That's Grandma's quilt!" Someone in the family is saying, "I told you we should lock the the doors...but NOOOO."😄
The tall wood stoves that you are seeing are called kagelung. Super efficient at heating. They go back 400 some years. They burn cleaner than most modern wood stoves. The homes that you have been exploring are all over 200 year old buildings.
The big, white, tiled stove in the livingroom was very common in the 17 & 1800s. It radiates heat when warm. Some people still have them. The prints of every day life are of Carl Larson. He usually painted his family. He was a very famous Swedish painter. One of my favorites. I think msybe the cottages were for a families' Summer place. Or maybe an old person lived there full time. The farm equipment is an old tractor for plowing. I lived in Zweden for 3 years and loved it!

I feed stray cats and they have made a narrow trail across the grass to my front door. Blessed Be and love always ❤️❤️
What beautiful country! That is actually a rug beater. They would place the rugs on a line outside and beat them until the dirt is out of them. They paint the Barns red here in America, (as these cottages), with iron oxide paint so the bugs will not destroy the wood. These out buildings could have been for family to visit and stay. Most of the swedish people have little houses in the woods and most of them leave them unlocked for other people to use to prevent freezing to death. Therefore there is no vandalism at all.

People might actually have lived in these small places in the forest. Why not. In any case, leaving a place unlocked like this, tells you that there is no vandalism, and unlocked doors save lifes, because it gets very cold in the long winter there..❄☃️❄⛄❄
That thing you told the viewers was for "pressing the water out of the clothes" is a MANGEL. For flattening, pressing, sheets, towels, table cloths etc. The people who originally lived there were no "hunters", they were FARMERS that hunted. The part of a scull with horns was a reindeer. There is no wild, free, reindeers in Sweden, all have owners, from the Sami people. By the way of hunting, It clearly is fall, which means hunting season, and it's a very good idea to wear bright colors, preferably a yellow or orange neon colored vest. The abandoned trailer and cabin were most likely left by them who cut down the forrest. The moose hunting team probably uses it after that. The big bird, yes they are pretty big, and males (with the tail like a big fan of feathers), capercaillie (or wood-grouse) can be seriously aggressive in the mating season. Length from beak to tail 90 cm / 3 foot, weight 3,5 - 5 kg / 7 - 12 lb, but can be up to 7 kg / 17 lb. Don't mess around with that sort of bird.
Sweden is on my top of ‘to travel to’ list. Your series on it is just whetting my appetite so much!! Thanks for this video Maureno, it’s a cute cottage and, despite being not glamorous, it has even more meaning and history somehow. That’s what I love about Scandinavia, a very modest people who are really in touch with nature and know how to appreciate life in its pure life. As you said, the forests seem to have very different flora and fauna than Central Europe and that is just fascinating for me. The actual cottage I think was like a holiday home, as one of your other viewers commented below, and it must have been so cosy in winter. The prints are so evocative of another era and they are just lovely. The books on the bookshelves, the spinning wheel etc. make it seem like a place to get away from it all and just enjoy simple pleasures of life. The caravan was a surprise too!! It even gave me the creeps a little but that’s the scaredy cat in me hahahah!! Loving your Sweden series Maureno, can’t wait to see more of this amazing country!!
Great vid. I'm from America and wonder about the trespassing law in Sweden? In America, you can get shot for trespassing and even arrested. I'm glad to see no vandalizem in your home tour. Never see that in America.
You walked down a game trail and what you thought was maybe a toilet was a blind the hunter used the cutout in the wall to look and shoot the game. I'm sure it is still in use during hunting season.A very ,very nice place.And the translation is so true for everyone I'm sure.great place.Our trees here in Okla. turn yellow red,purple in fall ,then they all fall off for winter.👍❤️😍🇺🇸
The first of the farm equipment was a very old pull type hay mower. The blades on the bar would move up and down to cut the hay. The second looked like an old hay rake. It would rake the hay into rows so it could be loaded or in later years baled. It almost looked like that may have been farm land at one time. Very interesting to see the cabins. Everything was so calm and serene.
You're right about the farm equipment and also that it was a farm once near the forest or in a forest cleaning made by the farmer or the ancestors long ago. It was quite common back in time here with such small farms in Sweden supporting a family. Later on after the war WW2 people moved to bigger cities for work and they abandoned their farms or used it like a Summer house for vacation time. Some of the older generation remained farmers on such isolated places to the end of their lives too! It looked like a serene place and also loved by someone once but for sure a place quit a long way out in the forest.
Wow you should more cabins,I liked it because it reminded me of a ski cabin my grandfather built in brattleboro,Vermont.We would go there every winter and there would be a woodstove in the living room,deer antlers on the wall,my mothers ski's would be criss crossed outside of the cabin and my grandfather would have this metal barrel and we would walk down the hill to the brook and fill up the barrel for water lol and roll it back up the hill and he built an outside bathroom lol we would have to go out there,I hated the bugs and spiders hahahaha and in the bedroom would be 4 bunk beds.we went there in the summer time to,we would go pick blackberries and my grandfather would make a fire in the firepit we had there. I miss those days when things were more simple and we would go to the ski areas and spend the whole day going skiing&drinking hot chocolate :)

I think this was a small farm. Remember the forest grows up fast on pasture and, in any case, some small farms all over northern Europe were often isolated by our standards. Those pictures of family life were prints of paintings done by the famous artist Carl Larson. He painted from life in his home and using his family as models.

The lichen got its name because it used to be placed between outer and inner windows in winter to absorb condensation. It was also used in the past for wreaths. Nowadays it is common as decoration in Advent candles and grave wreaths.
32:00 really nice old masonry fireplace. There's so much mass to it it takes quite awhile to heat up but will give off heat for many hours after the fire is out... Great for overnight warmth.
That Swedish proverb - (love me the most when I deserve it the least, then I need it the best) - is written wrong. It should say “Love me when I least deserve it, because that's when I really need it.” I Don’t understand why they written it that way ??? Weird or may be a mistake who knows……

Nice video and nice to hear what you think about Sweden. The first cabin has a ktichen from 1940-50´s. The last one was probably the oldest one. That fireplace, kakelugn, warmth the houes for hours. It´s an old farm and many people lived like that till aruound 1970. After that people moevd to the city. Maybe they passed away the people lived there and someone have bought it for the forrest and just left the cabins like that. Very common in Sweden. I hope your not out i the forrest this week because they hunt for moose this week, depends on where you are of course. Seeing forward to see more of this. Thanks.
The place has clean lines as in the Swedish way. A minimal way. My husband is half Swedish. He has been over there from Northern California to visit relatives and tour the countries in Europe. We enjoyed watching this video which captured this sort of holiday/vacation compound for families. I think maybe great (1900's) grandparents originally built these buildings as there are aspects of older items. The in the last building the multiband radio looks circa 1940's. The woodstoves in the kitchens for cooking may be from that time period too. The first kitchen cabinets had influences from 1950's to 1970's. I liked the trash can stand in the cupboard. My mom is 100% Finn. Grandpa came to America. He settled in a town here in Minnesota called Finlayson. I also grew up nearby. Landscape is VERY much like this video. Down fall is that it's SO VERY brutally cold in the winter.
12:03. Those whitish plants that are just laying there on the ground are most probably lichen. Lichen hold a lot of nitrogen in them, which is very useful for the soil and consequently, the trees. 32:04. That stove is called a "kakelugn" in Swedish and means "tile oven." They are quite efficient and kept the house pretty warm when they were at full blast.

It makes me so sad to see these abandoned houses. I live in Sweden now, but lived in Africa most of my life. My parents were Swedish and we visited often. Our relations lived in houses like that. I recognise it all from the 50's and 60's. Why would these houses just be left like that? It is possible to find out. We have a wonderful TV programme called....Det sitter I väggarna...translated...It sits in the walls, where they explore houses and find out who lived there before. Worth a look. Sweden is very well documented, so do try and find out. I'm sure you could write a book!
I love those wood stoves. They are so healthy to use - the foods molecules go i9n spirals in fresh food, like lettuce, and still do after you cooked with wood or gas, but wood is the best. After electric cooking they go straight and with a microwave they go in a complete disorder. It is very nice with a kitchen that has a door directly out on the ground and a wooden table and simple cupboards, with natural stoves such as wood and gas.
First off, how magical was that forest? It reminds me of growing up in the bush but the landscape was more rock than moss. The whitish moss made the landscape seem like parts of the woods were blanketed in snow. I'm imagining how serene that walk must of been for you and Sarah, breathing in fresh air amid that stunning backdrop. That first cabin was as neat as a pin! It was so thrilling to see it in pristine condition. Same with the last one. I was surprised to see the telephones in both places; I never would have guessed they had phone service in such a remote area. I must say, the Sweden series are very interesting and I can't wait for the next one. 💞 Well done, as always. ☮️

As 2 other people said, the white moss is lichen, present in wooden subarctic regions. In Canada, it's called "mousse à caribou" cause caribous eat almost exclusively that. Caribous and reindeers are brothers, caribous not being "domesticable".
In case somebody has not posted it yet: all the outside vehicles are old farming equipment. From everything you showed, this is a very small, old abandoned farm.

The first people seem to have left, knowing to be away. There aren't objects or food..but the last cabin really seems to have been left in a rush. Everything left there, like they had to come back soon.. so strange.

At the beginning of your videothe very tviny trail you walked on was a deer and other animal tail and the two big animals you saw were deer.

What beautiful country! That is actually a rug beater. They would place the rugs on a line outside and beat them until the dirt is out of them. They paint the Barns red here in America, (as these cottages), with iron oxide paint so the bugs will not destroy the wood. These out buildings could have been for family to visit and stay. Perhaps a vacation home. Again you have made an awesome exploration. Bless you, Florida, USA

Most of the swedish people have little houses in the woods and most of them leave them unlocked for other people to use to prevent freezing to death. Therefore there is no vandalism at all.
Love the intro music 🎶! Interesting scenery too. I don't see much to indicate that the cottages were for hunting but rather 'getaway' /holiday places, perhaps for a couple of families. Something different from your usual explores. Gill 🇬🇧

People might actually have lived in these small places in the forest. Why not. In any case, leaving a place unlocked like this, tells you that there is no vandalism, and unlocked doors save lifes, because it gets very cold in the long winter there..❄☃️❄⛄❄

That thing you told the viewers was for "pressing the water out of the clothes" is a MANGEL. For flattening, pressing, sheets, towels, table cloths etc.
The people who originally lived there were no "hunters", they were FARMERS that hunted.
The part of a scull with horns was a reindeer.
There is no wild, free, reindeers in Sweden, all have owners, from the Sami people.
By the way of hunting, It clearly is fall, which means hunting season, and it's a very good idea to wear bright colors, preferably a yellow or orange neon colored vest.
The abandoned trailer and cabin were most likely left by them who cut down the forrest. The moose hunting team probably uses it after that.
The big bird, yes they are pretty big, and males (with the tail like a big fan of feathers), capercaillie (or wood-grouse) can be seriously aggressive in the mating season. Length from beak to tail 90 cm / 3 foot, weight 3,5 - 5 kg / 7 - 12 lb, but can be up to 7 kg / 17 lb. Don't mess around with that sort of bird.

Thanks for this video Maureno, it’s a cute cottage and, despite being not glamorous, it has even more meaning and history somehow. That’s what I love about Scandinavia, a very modest people who are really in touch with nature and know how to appreciate life in its pure life. As you said, the forests seem to have very different flora and fauna than Central Europe and that is just fascinating for me.
The actual cottage I think was like a holiday home, as one of your other viewers commented below, and it must have been so cosy in winter. The prints are so evocative of another era and they are just lovely. The books on the bookshelves, the spinning wheel etc. make it seem like a place to get away from it all and just enjoy simple pleasures of life.
The caravan was a surprise too!! It even gave me the creeps a little but that’s the scaredy cat in me hahahah!!

Great vid. I'm from America and wonder about the trespassing law in Sweden? In America, you can get shot for trespassing and even arrested. I'm glad to see no vandalizem in your home tour. Never see that in America.
That is not true. A land owner must warn you verbally and then the police are called. This isn’t the Wild West anymore.
You walked down a game trail and what you thought was maybe a toilet was a blind the hunter used the cutout in the wall to look and shoot the game. The first of the farm equipment was a very old pull type hay mower. The blades on the bar would move up and down to cut the hay. The second looked like an old hay rake. It would rake the hay into rows so it could be loaded or in later years baled. It almost looked like that may have been farm land at one time. Very interesting to see the cabins. Everything was so calm and serene.
You're right about the farm equipment and also that it was a farm once near the forest or in a forest cleaning made by the farmer or the ancestors long ago. It was quite common back in time here with such small farms in Sweden supporting a family. Later on after the war WW2 people moved to bigger cities for work and they abandoned their farms or used it like a Summer house for vacation time. Some of the older generation remained farmers on such isolated places to the end of their lives too! It looked like a serene place and also loved by someone once but for sure a place quit a long way out in the forest.
Wow you should more cabins,I liked it because it reminded me of a ski cabin my grandfather built in brattleboro,Vermont.We would go there every winter and there would be a woodstove in the living room,deer antlers on the wall,my mothers ski's would be criss crossed outside of the cabin and my grandfather would have this metal barrel and we would walk down the hill to the brook and fill up the barrel for water lol and roll it back up the hill and he built an outside bathroom lol we would have to go out there,I hated the bugs and spiders hahahaha and in the bedroom would be 4 bunk beds.we went there in the summer time to,we would go pick blackberries and my grandfather would make a fire in the firepit we had there. I miss those days when things were more simple and we would go to the ski areas and spend the whole day going skiing&drinking hot chocolate :)

I think this was a small farm. Remember the forest grows up fast on pasture and, in any case, some small farms all over northern Europe were often isolated by our standards.
Those pictures of family life were prints of paintings done by the famous artist Carl Larson. He painted from life in his home and using his family as models.

Cladonia stellaris
The window lichen is a kind of reindeer lichen that forms mats on slabs and sandy woodland. It is common throughout the country. The lichen got its name because it used to be placed between outer and inner windows in winter to absorb condensation. It was also used in the past for wreaths. Nowadays it is common as decoration in Advent candles and grave wreaths.
32:00 really nice old masonry fireplace. There's so much mass to it it takes quite awhile to heat up but will give off heat for many hours after the fire is out... Great for overnight warmth.

I've been to Stockholm Sweden a good few time. My brother (rip) lived in Stockholm for I'd say 30yrs or more . It's a beautiful place
Whoever owned the place probably passed away after 2007. They're main home was elsewhere and the cottage was their 2nd home/vacation spot.

Nice video and nice to hear what you think about Sweden. The first cabin has a ktichen from 1940-50´s. The last one was probably the oldest one. That fireplace, kakelugn, warmth the houes for hours.
It´s an old farm and many people lived like that till aruound 1970. After that people moevd to the city.
Maybe they passed away the people lived there and someone have bought it for the forrest and just left the cabins like that. Very common in Sweden.
I hope your not out i the forrest this week because they hunt for moose this week, depends on where you are of course.

The place has clean lines as in the Swedish way. A minimal way. My husband is half Swedish. He has been over there from Northern California to visit relatives and tour the countries in Europe. We enjoyed watching this video which captured this sort of holiday/vacation compound for families. I think maybe great (1900's) grandparents originally built these buildings as there are aspects of older items. The in the last building the multiband radio looks circa 1940's. The woodstoves in the kitchens for cooking may be from that time period too. The first kitchen cabinets had influences from 1950's to 1970's. I liked the trash can stand in the cupboard. My mom is 100% Finn. Grandpa came to America. He settled in a town here in Minnesota called Finlayson. I also grew up nearby. Landscape is VERY much like this video. Down fall is that it's SO VERY brutally cold in the winter.

12:03. Those whitish plants that are just laying there on the ground are most probably lichen. Lichen hold a lot of nitrogen in them, which is very useful for the soil and consequently, the trees.
32:04. That stove is called a "kakelugn" in Swedish and means "tile oven." They are quite efficient and kept the house pretty warm when they were at full blast.

It makes me so sad to see these abandoned houses. I live in Sweden now, but lived in Africa most of my life. My parents were Swedish and we visited often. Our relations lived in houses like that. I recognise it all from the 50's and 60's. Why would these houses just be left like that? It is possible to find out. We have a wonderful TV programme called....Det sitter I väggarna...translated...It sits in the walls, where they explore houses and find out who lived there before. Worth a look. Sweden is very well documented, so do try and find out. I'm sure you could write a book!

I love those wood stoves. They are so healthy to use - the foods molecules go i9n spirals in fresh food, like lettuce, and still do after you cooked with wood or gas, but wood is the best.
After electric cooking they go straight and with a microwave they go in a complete disorder. It is very nice with a kitchen that has a door directly out on the ground and a wooden table and simple cupboards, with natural stoves such as wood and gas.

First off, how magical was that forest? It reminds me of growing up in the bush but the landscape was more rock than moss. The whitish moss made the landscape seem like parts of the woods were blanketed in snow. I'm imagining how serene that walk must of been for you and Sarah, breathing in fresh air amid that stunning backdrop.
That first cabin was as neat as a pin! It was so thrilling to see it in pristine condition. Same with the last one. I was surprised to see the telephones in both places; I never would have guessed they had phone service in such a remote area.
I must say, the Sweden series are very interesting and I can't wait for the next one. 💞 Well done, as always. ☮️

As 2 other people said, the white moss is lichen, present in wooden subarctic regions. In Canada, it's called "mousse à caribou" cause caribous eat almost exclusively that. Caribous and reindeers are brothers, caribous not being "domesticable".

The first people seem to have left, knowing to be away. There aren't objects or food..but the last cabin really seems to have been left in a rush. Everything left there, like they had to come back soon.. so strange.

Lovely place. The 'clothes wiper' is a carpet beater. Rugs would be hung up outside and bashed with it to remove dust and dirt.
