Despite being a spice fanatic, I've never been into chili. I don't do either ground meat or beans (minus black beans). It's just not my kind of food/meal. I agree about pull tabs... It's 2024 dang it! Make cans easier to open!!!
Just like you, I’ve never had this type of product from a can. They do sound like they’re a quality product so I’d choose the without beans ones to give it a try. Thanks for the review.
I was excited for this because of the hickory one! I don't like much bbq, but when I eat it, it needs to be nice and smoky, so I'm glad this one lives up to it's name! Thanks!
I picked up the original no Bean formula last week and tried it on hot dogs with cheese and it was very good! I have one can with beans still to try. But hickory does not appear to be in our area just yet but I can't wait to try it it! Kevin mentioned hot dog chili I hope they come out with that soon! I love me some chili cheese dogs!
We’ve talked about this in the past that it’s interesting how different regions eat different sides with their chili. Lots of people have cornbread as a side. We were raised to have a peanut butter sandwich on the side. Andrew & I were just talking about chili & he said he HAS to have a peanut butter sandwich to go with it 😃
Thank you for a fun n yummy review n comparison of Jacks chilis. I can only risk eating my own made chili because ingredients that could flare stomach issues. They looked n sound ok. It’s up to individuals taste buds. Enjoy a gorgeous afternoon n evening with a fun snack.😊😊😊
I get a "tinned" flavor from all canned soups/stews/chili. Adding an ounce of water and stirring in seems to lessen that without watering down the flavor too much.
Yes can chili has gotten out of hand on price. Tami, grab a bag of scoops and heat your chili then pour over scoops top with a lot of cheddar cheese and sour cream it’s delicious. I think from this bunch the jalapeño and the hickory would be great. Great review
I’ve never made canned chili to eat by itself, but I do use it for frito chili pie. I grew up with it like that and it just doesn’t taste the same with homemade
Campbell chunky makes a pretty good canned chili… but totally agree nothing like homemade! Nutritionally speaking … the one with beans would be healthier for many people… it has more fiber and about half the cholesterol and fat (especially saturated) as the no bean variety… Tami… I do buy canned chili and soup as I live alone, it’s not always feasible to make an entire pot of something for just one or even two people… I also think Wendy’s has a very good chili… great review!!!
Chili freezes very well if you do prefer to make homemade for yourself!! Im solo too, but I use leftovers during the week and freeze stuff because I love doing fun things in the kitchen :)
In our senior citizens commodity boxes we get beef stew and chili in these bags ,and I don't know what to do with them their bags of mush really ,in the beef stew really isn't good and the chili I'm scared to try.
I agree, cans need to have a pull tab minus soups. That might get messy. I’ve never bought chili in a can either and probably never will. I’ve seen recipes made with canned chili, specifically Chili Mac & Cheese Skillet. Out of these, the Hickory is my choice as well. Thanks for a great review.
Jack links chili is not chili- Half can of grease. Had to strain it and ended up with 3 tablespoons of "micro meat" shame they call it chili. If you care at all about your family...do not feed them this heart attack in a can. Seems they scooped what hit the floor and canned it🤢🤮 grab extra tp! You may need it💩💩
Didn't like this brand at all. Ever taste a can of expired chili how it has that sweet tangy taste to let you this is expired? That's what this chili tastes like. Not sure why it has such a tangy taste to it or what ingredient makes it taste that way.
I like how you matched the colors of the bowls to the flavor of the chili
Thank you 😊
I’m sorry, what? Pickled jalapeño slices in a grilled cheese? That sounds AMAZING. Why haven’t I thought of that? BRILLIANT
I agree
My go-to additions to grilled cheese are pickled jalapeño slices + mustard. Gives it a nice kick!
Just be warned, when you heat them, they get extra hot.
@@purpleduck02 I agree mustard on grilled cheese is everything
She matched the color of the bowls to the color of the can labels !!!
I try 😃
I just bought the pepper one and loved it! I think it taste a lot like the peppered jack links beef sticks, which I love.
I’m so glad you like it 😃
Good review. Tough to know what a new brand will taste like.
You got that right!!

I hope you are able to find it!
I've been disappointed with so many brands of canned chili. In my opinion they all share a similar flavor. I either make my own, or go to Wendy's.
Homemade is the best way to go!

I had the jalapeño. I added some deer sausage and a pinch of sugar. It was great
I love chili...it doesnt love me back. Lol looks good! Anything i can have cornbread with i love!
I know chilly doesn't love me either.😊

@TamiDunn omggg don't throw me in the briarpatch! That sounds delicious sign me up!

I think I will always prefer my homemade chili as well :)

your right about that one tami beans in chili are a must
🙌🏻🙌🏻
I love pepper as well but it’s true anytime you see something that says peppered, it’s overly peppered unfortunately
Love this review 🤗
Thank you! 🤗

That sounds good!
Jack links chilli had the opportunity to make something at the very least decent. But they made the absolute worst thing they could have ever made 💀
Agree, it's trash
Stop talking so much.
Yes, extremely nasty in my opinion. Very tangy and made me second guess if it was bad even though the can said 2026.
I like the idea of canned chili, but it is just something I never buy. Plus I don’t like beef-if there were ground turkey varieties, I might try it.
FYI, the original beanless was fantastic on hot dogs. Not everyone prefers thick hot dog sauce!
Now eat them all :D
Sounds good
Have you tried Wolf's?
Not yet.
I’ve never made canned chili to eat by itself, but I do use it for frito chili pie. I grew up with it like that and it just doesn’t taste the same with homemade
Do you bake it in a pie shell?
@@TamiDunn No. It’s the classy Midwest dish of Fritos covered in chili and cheese.
the only time I eat canned chili is when I make chili, chips, and cheese. I might go e these a try
That sounds good!
Tami I’m with you - homemade chili. Would never eat canned. It just has no appeal for me
Homemade is worlds better.
Hi Tami how are you doing could you please review Takis new flavor called sweet chili pepper or a name similar to that
These? th-cam.com/video/M3LEn5YuwOY/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUbdGFtaSBkdW5uIHRha2lzIHN3ZWV0IGNoaWxp
I would pass these, not a fan of beans. I might try the one without the beans!
Without beans was really tasty.
Looks like they use a lot of TVP.

Jack Links Chili does not work for me. No taste very flat.
Huh, I did not know they made chili.
These are new 😃
It's too pasty in my opinion. It's like way more sauce than beans and meat but I do like the beef in it.
In our senior citizens commodity boxes we get beef stew and chili in these bags ,and I don't know what to do with them their bags of mush really ,in the beef stew really isn't good and the chili I'm scared to try.
Jean, I always thought we were about the same age.
@@TamiDunn Tami you and crystal are close in age
But I just turned 66.🌼

I like Campbells chili , good review.😀
Thank you :)
That’s the worst chilli I have ever had In my life I’m 54 and that was nasty
I’d much rather have homemade.
@@TamiDunn same
4 dollars a can... Walmart can keep it
I’d rather just make my own 😉
