@@th6n no it's not, there's lots of good live performances with him singing and even Marc doesn't sing this part most of the time and Mark also destroys (in the bad way) fields of despair and a lot of early df songs, haven't heard him singing a single one of the high songs that made me confident in his talent to sing the early songs, his voice is simply too weak.
my favourite band of all time of course, love everyone in the band, but finally a good video where I can finally see dave perfectly . I'm a beginner drummer and love his freakishly fast speed. there all so pumped up. not very many bands love to keep the crowd going and make them sing along with it.
I felt for bad for the drums on operation ground and pound . They just got Dave Lombardoed hard. They were going faster than the regular version which was fucking nuts . AND awesome . Love Gee Anzalone with his amazing speed. But I do also miss dave mackintosh . He was a big part of the band and also kind of made me want to play drums cause of his amazing stamina and of course his amazing tight sounds on bass drums and his entire kit.
Comparing Dave and Gee is like comparing Portney with Mangini. Portney had the awesome progressive and innovative style and Magini is probably as talented but sticks to the studio drums. Dave caused magnitude 10 earthquakes with his drums and blast beats and while Gee is more mechanical he is as skilled, IMO. Gee is also just so happy live, all the time. Just look at Woodstock 2016. Dave always seemed more or less bored live to me. I will miss Dave but I personally like Gee better. Hell, Dave actually RECOMMENDED Gee to Dragonforce as his replacement.
@@wannaberabbi9302 I would've said Dave Lombardo and Mike Portnoy . (Both named Dave of course and kind of look like eachother ) Dave Mackintosh and Dave Lombardo have similar rhythms with and double bass patterns . And Gee Anzalone probably had more practise than him like Mike Portnoy has more skill . And also cause Gee Anzalone looks like Mike Portnoy as well. Lol
I finally found it! Proof that Dragonforce was once good live. I always hear "Oh the Guitar Hero band? They're shit live." Not back when their carpals and vocal chords were younger.
I didn't like how dragonforce tried to play faster than they could back then. You can see this in Sam's OGAP solo. They definitely take playing live a lot more seriously now than they did before.
Only if he could last his initial voice not ruining his voice himself , that could have been fucking awessome for both dragonforce and its fans. zp ;*(
친구민동민 That's what happens if you get drunk for every show. Personally I think the new singer is an ok replacement but ZP had much better stage presence
TheWanderingBard Yes I agree, Marc is probably a better singer with technique and that stuff but in my opinion, ZP was a better frontman live. I like both periods but I have to say Maximum Overload is my favourite album, the upcoming one might change that though...
Man this is painful to listen to! ZP had such an awesome voice, but lost it to whatever smoking and drinking he did, so by 2010 he just plain sucked live.😩
@Scott Thompson I’m sure they corrected him and said that it was his improper singing technique that cost him his voice. It’s possible to sing like this on tour but you have to be careful and do it correctly. You can see he becomes tired and messes up notes before the end of a show. Proper technique would have preserved his sound for more years even with drinking and smoking

You're not being salty. Some people like their new pretentious, try hard style, others don't. I'm okay with them getting over the "Nintendo metal" thing, but Reaching Into Infinity tries way too hard to be serious minded and modern metal sounding.
Im a huge fan of reaching into Infinity, but I do feel like Dragonforce would be better off if Fred did less of the song writing. I personally miss the song writing that Herman and Vadim did on the first three albums. But I will always prefer the first four albums to the last three.
0seconds Sorry, but I disagree. Fred has brought so many new things to the table. The Sun is Dead is a masterpiece and while I can understand why some people dislike Reaching into Infinity it is certainly not generic. I don't feel like Fred poisoned their song writing; I feel like he gave a new life to it. The Nintendo metal formula was what was becoming cliche and generic shit and I feel like Fred saved them from that fate. Just my opinion, but I feel like people who only love Valley through Sonic Firestorm are just being a bit close minded. To each his own, though.
I agree to a certain degree. You are right about the Nintendo thing and that change needed to happen. And yes, The Sun is Dead is awesome. However, songs like War! and Seasons are one of the worst DF songs in their library. And while I love the Sun is Dead, those fucking lyrics... his lyrics are so painful to listen to. My 14 year old angsty teenage self loves, but really... it's just so lame. Haha

5 years later, this set is still god tier.
ZP's voice is so good here holy shit!
Especially at 6:53
I was at this gig. Listening from backstage while I was setting up Cronos's bass :)

Gee is one of the most boring metal drummers around. No edge, just efficiency.
Exactly how I feel about Marc tbh.

DragonForce's music as a whole got better without ZP. Never cared for DF's first 4 albums, now I'm a fan.

Esse vocalista tem que voltar para esse grupo o outro é bom mas esse cara bem mais

Back when the boys where full of energy and before Fred poisioned their song writing with cliche and generic shit.. Miss those days.
